Reusing old head bolts will not not allow you to properly torque them down and you risk blowing another head gasket. The correct process of torquing head bolts is to torque them down in a pattern to a certain torque specification, then loosening them up again in a certain pattern, then torquing them down using a degree caliper tool in the same pattern. It's a multi-step process and like I mentioned in the video, head bolts are designed to stretch once not twice. You can also risk breaking them reusing them twice and that would be a nightmare to retap.
@@diyguy1808 thanks any way too late I've reused them and iam ok since 2 weeks or 3 and all torqued well, no broken bolts, no heating, no coolant loss 😐😐😐 just waiting for the disaster that you are talking about 😒😒😒
HEY BUDDY YOU KNOW THIS MOTOR PRETTY WELL SO TELL ME.... WHAT IS THE BIG DEAL WITH THE DARN PHASER GEAR FAILURE? Brand new EVERYTHING...... phaser and all.... few starts later ...... rattle on cold start! Even when the engine is hot but hasn’t run in 20 minutes.... rattle start. What’s it doing draining oil out of the phaser itself?
