Recently bought Injustice: Gods Among Us for Vita and tried to play multiplayer on multiple different occasions and found an enemy every time, maybe I had some luck but I was quite surprised that there seems to be at least a small active community there Great thing you continue to look into PS3 and Vita multiplayer, always anticipating the next video of this series!

Not too late. They’re super easy to import from Japan fwiw and usually in great shape too. Usually priced fairly as well. You *can* buy from a US seller but you’ll end up paying more (sometimes a lot more) and they usually are in worse shape than the ones from Japan.

If we could see single player counts I bet there's tons of single player games in the 100s active players, like Persona 4 Golden definitely has alot of people currently playing
I'm still playing my Vita, not a lot of course, and now with my Steam Deck even less, but I have always prefer the Vita to the Switch. The VIta is the last and best proper handheld console ever made. Too bad Sony gave up on it so soon.
I'm curious if you've tried the Switch Lite, since it would be more directly comparable to the Vita, unlike the original and OLED models. (I prefer the dockable model but I'd like to know what a Vita gamer thinks of the handheld-only model)

It seems like a missed opportunity on tons of first party games. Even the new gta remastets have a touch screen map and thats 3rd party... but thats Nintendo for ya

I still play my VITA on a regular basis and i really wish it had more love from SONY. I am just so glad i got my LBP Platinum back when it came out but i will never be able to get my Wipeout 2048 Platinum now which is such a shame as that game was fantastic.
I barely got my vita yesterday and I love it already it just blows my mind people still play it and support it to this day with the jailbreak and the homebrews getting updated daily

I was very late to the party in getting a vita as I only got one at Xmas last year, but I absolutely love it! Got the plat for uncharted golden abyss and just bought few more games there! Sad it never got the appreciation it deserved. Makes me feel so old seeing so many old games I used to play now going offline 😞

PS Vita has been my favorite product from Sony this past decade. So many hidden/niche gems on that platform, it’s amazing. I don’t personally like “CiNemATiK AAA Walking Simulator” games so the Vita is my jam.

I started playing Freedom wars and Persona 4 for the 3rd time and it's so nice to see when you clicl on " voice " it still shows me all the choices others took. What an amazing piece of hardware is Vita. I will never understand why Sony took such idiotic decisions with the Vita.
I just started collecting for the vita about 8 months ago when I picked up a 1000 OLED model. Finding games is getting harder and harder at reasonable prices. I get call of duty in a few days, get back on there and we can be very bad together, lol. Thanks for the video Ryan
VIRTUA TENNIS 4: WORLD TOUR EDITION is awesome. I got all the online trophies when I travelled to Japan & tons of people were playing it there. Just a nice memory for me every time I see the game.

Congrats man. Highly recommend: Killzone Mercenary; Uncharted: Golden Abyss; Resistance: Burning Skies; Gravity Rush; P4; Soul Sacrifice. Not sure if you'd want to get CoD BO Declassified; the singleplayer is short and mediocre but I heard decent things about the mp and a ton of people still play it probably more than any other mp Vita title. I personally couldn't get the mp to work for some reason but many have, including Mystic.
Ryan your Vita videos over the years has finally convinced me to get a Vita, just got a blue 2000 series off eBay from Japan. First game is the Jak and Daxter collection(first Vita and Jak and Daxter experience). Have a few games shipping right now.
I just re hacked my OLED so happy. Gotta just change the battery but happy to still see that people love the vita. It’s my best friend in the studio & on the go still.
for StreetFighter X Tekken you didnt find any lobbies because you chose to only match with PS Vita opponents (The final row of conditions when matchmaking, choose the 'opponent's system' to be any and you'll get into a match right away)
It's a real pity that PS Vita game are not included in the new PlayStation Plus Premium subscription service coming in June as I feel the multiplayer for these games would be more populated.
@The tricky tick even if they add legacy titles most of the online servers may be down already and I doubt they can get it back up even if they wanted to.

I mean new systems can be expensive and the average person doesn't have enough free time to play every game they may want to play, so it doesn't really make sense to buy a new system with more new games that you won't have time to play. Something new coming out doesn't mean you have to buy it, it's not really "wild" to want to use stuff you already have first.

Same here even though I enjoy my Switch and the 5 games I have for it and not had it very long at all. Even though I have owned my Vita 2000 since 2017, Wii U 2018, New 3DS XL 2020 and Switch Christmas 2021 I still jump on my Vita as it's just a good handheld and fulfilled the gap PSP did for me as my handheld preference for a long time and still does and glad I finally picked up an OLED Vita to compare all 3 (OLED, 2000, TV). I do prefer the 2000 more but still a great system. Just like still collecting for PS3 the Vita just fits and it's gimmicks I find a fine spin on things for games and portable.
For Street Fighter X Tekken, you didn't open your search as far as you could've. Some of the options were left as "Same" when they should be "Any". You can also turn on Fight Request, where you play Arcade Mode while waiting for another player.

Hearing you mention Killzone Shadowfall made me wonder how many people still play that game! New series idea - go to some old PlayStation 4 games and see how active the servers are!
I love the ps vita. I say this all the time but this had so much potential and despite the fact that support was dropped so early on, people still love the vita.
I still play on my Vita from time to time. Not onlines anymore, I mostly just synch my trophies up. Online games I used to play on Vita were mostly Need for Speed and Minecraft. A few other ones too but thier servers are discontinued now.
I think a lot of these games are only gonna happen if you plan it with friends or post on a forum to set up a game or something. I'm not much of an online player anyway, though I'd love to try Table Top Racing online as I still enjoy coming back to that game.
they need to bring back a handheld console truly ide love that so much and especially with shareplay just stream what’s happening on your ps5 that would be so sick to have a new ps portable and be able to play games that the ps5 can run or just use the ps5 itself it would be awesome
I got into the Vita almost 2 years ago specifically to play Persona 4 Golden. Ended up being so impressed with the system that, over the ensuing two years, I bought a few backup Vitas, some more memory cards, & a ton of games. I had a kid when the Vita first came out so no time to game & no extra money lol. Now I’m making up for lost time. The Vita is worth it for P4G alone imho, but there are a ton of other games I play, too. Still play about once a week, unless I’m into a long game like Persona, Metal Gear, etc where I’ll play for weeks at a time & completely ignore my other systems- including my PS5 & XBX. Crazy how current-gen the Vita still feels.
Helldivers is still quite strong, i recently got the plat and helping a friend get it too. Your game was ‘running slow’ as you are in snow, it slows your walk, any other surface and it runs fine haha
I play just to speedrun Killzone, I found strats that cut 10 minutes of current world record. Our speedruning community has like 3 people. I have unofficial WR, about to record it soon.

Playing Duke Nukem 3D: Megatron Edition lately on my Vita. Want to finish the game before i play the 20th Anniversary edition soon or later. Plus want to play and finish some Vita games in my collection. Like Killzone, Uncharted, Unit-13 and the free digital game Need for Speed: Most Wanted.
As I was watching that show _Arcane_ it reminded me of that Vita game _Gravity Rush._ Ordered a new charger for my old, dusty Vita that just came today and I keep getting an error for that game unfortunately. _Killzone: Mercenary_ works however. So does _MLB 12 The Show._
I’d like to get a Vita but I don’t really know of any games for it that I’d like. I’d like some single player stuff for sure, NFS Most Wanted is cool. I played that on the PS3 and I didn’t know that was on the Vita.
PS Vita at 2am keeps a lot up to date on Vita and is showing many sort of lists videos for different genres of games every so often so they re worth looking at. So he is always a good source. Most Vita reviewers did the main western games and gave up long ago in favour of Switch, while he still keeps going in any way he can for the Vita whether homebrew, store discounts, games he is playing and like I said the genre lists or I guess themed ones like fan service games, Indies and so on. Even still there is the few Wii U/3DS supporters like those pointing out the last games leading up to the Eshop closure while most people don't care. Got to love the TH-camrs that appreciate these legacy console and handheld systems in their later years.
Jak and Daxter collection, Metal Gear Solid collection, God of War collection, Sly Cooper, Uncharted Golden Abyss, Ratchet and Clank collection, WRC 5 and plenty of other indie games
I bought a 360 game sealed a year or so ago and it still had that new smell so honestly kind of surprised SFxTekken didn’t have that new smell anymore. Must have been a bad seal
I don't know if anyone else said this, but for Street Fighter x Tekken the last row of conditions is the system you're looking to match with, and the default is same system. Probably couldn't find anyone because you weren't looking for PS3 users as well
3 key things could’ve prolonged the Vita’s survival • Replace rear touchpad, cameras, maybe even touchscreen with L2/R2 and clickable joysticks. • Use cheaper, normal memory cards. • An actually good Call of Duty game that’s a full experience including zombies (seriously. Blops Declassified is shitty yet still attracts plenty of new players a decade later. Imagine if it was a great game.)

cant believe its been 10 years since vita came out. Crazy bro. I got vita day one. Still pissed it didnt take off further. F's sake. Also been with you since near day 1 or at least since vita came out early days at 10-20ksubs or less. I always envisioned sony turning vita into a true game tablet gamepad like the wiiU with a bigger version and tailored to using with the ps4. I always thought vita tv would have been better if they did some things different and it would have succeeded for sure in the psp days. I remember as a kid thinking i want to let sony know of my psp console to tv idea. Since they already sold movies back then seperately on disc as well for psp. Smh. God i hope they make another. Like a legacy console and beef it up and maybe it could also play indie games from psn or up to ps2 and then remote play everything else. Or just water down heavily all the games, i honeslty wouldnt mind a 720p call of duty off ps5, in the palm of my hand. Vita was 544p and looked great, even that would suffice!!

Get henkaku to hack it then pkgj for all vita ps1 and Psp library. Buy an sd2 vita and 64gb+ micro sd 👍

Fighting games were so good on Vita. I made it to the top 10 in leaderboards back when I played a TON of Marvel v Capcom 3.

I play my Vita more than my Switch, though I don't play anything online. Last game I played online was Freedom War.
Same here even though I enjoy my Switch and the 5 games I have for it and not had it very long at all. Even though I have owned my Vita 2000 since 2017, Wii U 2018, New 3DS XL 2020 and Switch Christmas 2021 I still jump on my Vita as it's just a good handheld and fulfilled the gap PSP did for me as my handheld preference for a long time and still does and glad I finally picked up an OLED Vita to compare all 3 (OLED, 2000, TV). I do prefer the 2000 more but still a great system. Just like still collecting for PS3 the Vita just fits and it's gimmicks I find a fine spin on things for games and portable.
For Street Fighter X Tekken, you didn't open your search as far as you could've. Some of the options were left as "Same" when they should be "Any".
You can also turn on Fight Request, where you play Arcade Mode while waiting for another player.

I love the ps vita. I say this all the time but this had so much potential and despite the fact that support was dropped so early on, people still love the vita.
I still play on my Vita from time to time. Not onlines anymore, I mostly just synch my trophies up.
Online games I used to play on Vita were mostly Need for Speed and Minecraft. A few other ones too but thier servers are discontinued now.

My vita only works when charged now, so I barely use it, but I can't stress that Sony needs to release another handheld
Vita batteries are quite cheap and reasonably easy to change!

FYI: Online multiplayer on NFS Most Wanted Vita still active, I always got two or three online players on this game.

I think a lot of these games are only gonna happen if you plan it with friends or post on a forum to set up a game or something. I'm not much of an online player anyway, though I'd love to try Table Top Racing online as I still enjoy coming back to that game.
they need to bring back a handheld console truly ide love that so much and especially with shareplay just stream what’s happening on your ps5 that would be so sick to have a new ps portable and be able to play games that the ps5 can run or just use the ps5 itself it would be awesome
I got into the Vita almost 2 years ago specifically to play Persona 4 Golden. Ended up being so impressed with the system that, over the ensuing two years, I bought a few backup Vitas, some more memory cards, & a ton of games. I had a kid when the Vita first came out so no time to game & no extra money lol. Now I’m making up for lost time.
The Vita is worth it for P4G alone imho, but there are a ton of other games I play, too. Still play about once a week, unless I’m into a long game like Persona, Metal Gear, etc where I’ll play for weeks at a time & completely ignore my other systems- including my PS5 & XBX. Crazy how current-gen the Vita still feels.
Trying to get the plat in Sound Shapes on Vita and the death mode levels are owning me.
Helldivers is still quite strong, i recently got the plat and helping a friend get it too. Your game was ‘running slow’ as you are in snow, it slows your walk, any other surface and it runs fine haha

Playing Duke Nukem 3D: Megatron Edition lately on my Vita. Want to finish the game before i play the 20th Anniversary edition soon or later.
Plus want to play and finish some Vita games in my collection. Like Killzone, Uncharted, Unit-13 and the free digital game Need for Speed: Most Wanted.
Still a vita player, did platinum Killzone Mercenary which has many multiplayer trophies. There were quite a few people still playing in the lobbies
As I was watching that show _Arcane_ it reminded me of that Vita game _Gravity Rush._ Ordered a new charger for my old, dusty Vita that just came today and I keep getting an error for that game unfortunately.
_Killzone: Mercenary_ works however. So does _MLB 12 The Show._

I’d like to get a Vita but I don’t really know of any games for it that I’d like. I’d like some single player stuff for sure, NFS Most Wanted is cool. I played that on the PS3 and I didn’t know that was on the Vita.

PS Vita at 2am keeps a lot up to date on Vita and is showing many sort of lists videos for different genres of games every so often so they re worth looking at. So he is always a good source. Most Vita reviewers did the main western games and gave up long ago in favour of Switch, while he still keeps going in any way he can for the Vita whether homebrew, store discounts, games he is playing and like I said the genre lists or I guess themed ones like fan service games, Indies and so on.
Even still there is the few Wii U/3DS supporters like those pointing out the last games leading up to the Eshop closure while most people don't care. Got to love the TH-camrs that appreciate these legacy console and handheld systems in their later years.

I don't know if anyone else said this, but for Street Fighter x Tekken the last row of conditions is the system you're looking to match with, and the default is same system. Probably couldn't find anyone because you weren't looking for PS3 users as well
3 key things could’ve prolonged the Vita’s survival
• Replace rear touchpad, cameras, maybe even touchscreen with L2/R2 and clickable joysticks.
• Use cheaper, normal memory cards.
• An actually good Call of Duty game that’s a full experience including zombies (seriously. Blops Declassified is shitty yet still attracts plenty of new players a decade later. Imagine if it was a great game.)

Killzone Mercenary was the best game on the vita. I plaued SO MANY hours in that multiplayer.

cant believe its been 10 years since vita came out. Crazy bro. I got vita day one. Still pissed it didnt take off further. F's sake. Also been with you since near day 1 or at least since vita came out early days at 10-20ksubs or less. I always envisioned sony turning vita into a true game tablet gamepad like the wiiU with a bigger version and tailored to using with the ps4. I always thought vita tv would have been better if they did some things different and it would have succeeded for sure in the psp days. I remember as a kid thinking i want to let sony know of my psp console to tv idea. Since they already sold movies back then seperately on disc as well for psp. Smh. God i hope they make another. Like a legacy console and beef it up and maybe it could also play indie games from psn or up to ps2 and then remote play everything else. Or just water down heavily all the games, i honeslty wouldnt mind a 720p call of duty off ps5, in the palm of my hand. Vita was 544p and looked great, even that would suffice!!
