- Very recently I uploaded a convertible 1971 Dodge Challenger review. Already own a 1970 convertible as well so I decided to go "hardtop" and this is the one I got. All from Greenlight of course. The red interiors really caught my attention as well as the very different wheel covers.

That would be a nice project but I would know where to start!! Do you know of a tutorial or something similar at least listing parts or things needed? I would probably start with some damaged cars I have then move into these. Thanks!

I'm waiting on a red and white '70 "Challenger Deputy" to arrive as I type this, Greenlight has a reputation of Hit and Miss in all scales and the 1/18 scale Challengers despite small nit picks and definite Hits.
Yeah, I have quite a few of their releases but after Covid I feel their QA went to... well, you know... I was thinking of getting another one of their Challies but Acme started producing theirs and went that route instead. But for the money and when they are on sale, their releases are not bad!! I will probably buy more of theirs but will definitely wait for the "right" price. Hope you enjoy it though. That variant looks very nice. Let me know how it fares in your eyes.

very nice Challenger, although I never saw a real 440Sixpack shaker car with hub caps. I bought the same Challenger on ebay along with a Greenlight White Vanishing Point Challenger, I put the vanishing point chassis with Rallye Wheels and Black interior in the Black Shaker....looks much better now

i was thinking to buy this model, but i go for highway 61 (old models). i have one 1970 i go for 1971.
but there is some thing, HW61 did not produce 1970challenger with shaker hood. they did on 1971.
Yes. I want a Challenger from Acme and/or Highway 61!! This will do for now but I will watch out for one of those! Thanks for watching and supporting!
@@DiecastNewb nice choice for future. just before buy challengers or cudas and pontiacs from acme. compare the old and new productions (from the internet). i saw a huge diffrence in the dash board and speedometers. i mean from the inside detail every thing moved to outside. to give you a nice look.

That's great to hear. The paint (or maybe casting!?) on these (especially that top view) is not great but definitely a good update on old Ertl's. Still, I'm still waiting for a HW61 model and will definitely try to compare.

@@DiecastNewb i ordered it from carmodel and the next day it was gone lol. but it arrived and i am happy with it. had to scrub some glue residue off the hood with water dampened microfibre cloth but thankfully it went away and everything else looks fine. maybe here or there, there are a few small spots where the black paint isnt perfectly glossy but slightly matte, wondering if yours has that issue too?

Nice, i really like how detailed the interior is. i wish they made 1/24 scale interiors that nice also.
It is actually lacking a bit when compared to higher end models but I'm pretty sure there are 1/24s Mopars from GMP tha are even carpeted!!! They are older models as well but take a look at eBay to see if you find a couple! (They will be a bit expensive though...) Thanks for watching!
@@DiecastNewb Hey ! Being a 1:24 collector, I can chime in on this one for JxT1957 or whoever. Danbury and Franklin Mint cars all have carpeting.(As long as the 1:1 is ) I actually find these to have interiors more detailed than many 1:18's. Being a smaller diecast with super detailed engines and interiors is what makes me favor these cars. They can get pricey as mentioned but to me, worth it. Here's a couple favorites to check out : Danbury Mint's '67 Pontiac GTO in purple. Sticking with the same company, '70 Charger R/T also in purple w/white interior (stands out in white). Could ramble on, I'll spare ya. Check some of them out !!
