I've been playing these irons for about 2 months now after coming from Mizuno Pro 225's, and think they are the best feeling irons I've ever hit. I hit them the same distances and just as high and far, with better spin rates. They are very forgiving of mis-hits, I play to a 5 handicap and they are perfect for me. The sole works well for a picker or digger, and is wide but plays thinner due to the camber and pseudo "V-sole". 5-PW with Fujikura Axiom 105 Stiff shafts, best irons I've ever had. Thank you Mr Miura!

I went and talked to my club guy today about the same setup. I'm currently in Srixon ZX-7's with Modus3 105S shafts. 2 questions: how well can you flight these down (playing into the wind) and how do the Axiom shafts affect your ball flight?

You went from blade to cavity back of course it’s going to be better! 😂 barely any guys on tour play blades.

Nice review gents. I would argue, in order too truly find out how the soul of an iron, be those with V-sole/Y-sole or such iron leading edge configuration,...the test needs to be done on grass (hard, soft and wet turf) in order to asses its effectiveness on a strike.

Great video. A Miura is a Miura is a Miura. I think these are great irons but the US marketing does not match what these clubs really are. They seem keen to make it sound like that everyone can play these irons but as this test shows, that is not the case. I'm a decent 4 handicap golfer but don't generate near enough speed to use these irons and that was proven when I tested them. They are however a great set for the lower handicap golfer who hits the ball too high who could use some help with de-lofting. My uncle is a ball striking monster but balloons all his irons. He put these in the bag and loves them. He's also a +3 handicap.

Had T200s and eventually switched to Miura CB301 in the 7-PW. Did not see a massive difference in distance between the two sets. T200 were a bit more forgiving on mishits but also got a few fliers with them. CB301 felt massively better and tended to launch a bit higher since they have a bit less loft but overall may go a few yard shorter and much shorter on mishits/thin shots

Thanks for this info, I had T300s and wanted to switch to the Miura CB instead of the T200s, now I’m in between.

They’re different type of clubs though? Miura has always been more blade styled clubs but now slightly becoming more technology and more forgiving style. Titleist has always been about forgiveness id say. I play t100’s. I don’t think titleist make a game improvement or distance styled iron

I just purchased a set of these and I'm a 20 handicap player and they're definitely forgiving and long enough. I compared them to my p790s and distance wise they're very similar. The only thing was the 5 iron was a lot more hot with the p790. But then again the lofts are like almost 2 degrees difference and they arent filled with tungsten. But the feel, sound and looks of the Miuras are so nice!! I think more higher handicap players should stop being so scared of the "players irons" because there's so much you can gain from them.

So would you say somebody with a higher handicap should get the miura cb or the miura tc 201? I have T300 and trying to invest into some Miuras

@@thepabs08 get the CB 302. The 201 are fine with the 9 and PW but I don't know what the longer irons would be like, I'm guessing they would be not as friendly looking haha

The sheer amount of wisdom with Ian and Mikey in one room is just the gift that keeps on giving. You guys have changed my understanding of golf completely despite me playing the game for 11 years now. Always interesting to learn more about mass distribution and launch conditions, let alone turf interaction!
    Cheers from the Netherlands!

I was playing Mizuno JPX Tours and I liked them. 83 mph 7 iron and switched to these and I’m in love. I’m a 1.8 and they are perfect for me. They get through the turf so beautifully. and I get a little help off the toe and heel. Me is very happy with them.

5 index here. I play 302s 4 -pw. Incredible feel and consistency. More consitant than my 21 Apex pros. Std lie and loft. Steelfiber 95cw. On the fence with the 4 iron. Great off the tee, but my apex might be easier to hit off the fairway

THIS!4:48. There is no faking it with Miura’s. I mean you hit it well, you hit it well. Don’t get these to stroke your ego, there will not be a toe/heel or thin/high shot that doesn’t get punished. They are not distance irons, but they go plenty far enough…if you strike them well. If you get good with these, you are going to be much better with “tech” irons.
For those reasons, I think Miura irons are more “rewarding” to play, if you strike your irons well then there is no mistaking it or being fooled by the tech in your irons. Not being a glutton for punishment or snob with respect to iron tech, just stating my thoughts.

Probably off topic but if you’re someone who wants to play blades but needs the height. Play Srixon z965 blades. I picked these up with PX 5.5’s and have never been able to control height so easily.

  • @mikaellangbraten5688
    @mikaellangbraten5688 ปีที่แล้ว

Looks great. I was hoping to hear that they would be a little bit more forgiving thou 🙂I think the problem right now is that there are no irons on the market that works for slow swing speeds without having to have half the set as hybrids. I got the PXG XP Gen5 that were supposed to be forgiving and good for distance. The 7 iron used for fitting works fine, but the lofts are so strong that despite me getting clubs 2 degrees weak, I still hit the 7 longer than both the 6 and the 5. With my low swing speed there just isn't enough loft to create height or enough spin to keep the ball airborne. This is a topic you should cover. The guys at MyGolfSpy touched on it, but only briefly. It would be great to hear your take on super strong lofts in clubs made for beginners, older people and others with low swing speed.

I collect japanese brand irons from the common to the exotic ones for the sake of testing them out. I feel that CB302 compared to the ones in its class (player forged) is average. For instance the Bridgestone 222CB+ that I used the same shaft as the 302 feels similar but more stable solid impact and better in almost all aspects except distance. Buttery soft is just average as well far harder than the Kamui Rex Reginas. The 302 is closer to an Epon and Mizuno 245. I actually like the feel and consistency of my Epons better. Compared to let's say the RomaRo Ray CX20 it's a toss up with the 302 being more forgiving. I was able to get the Miuras at the same price as the 245 brand new so I’d prob will be using these for driving only and training shaped shots.

Thanks for this vid. I have a set of the 201s which I play maybe half my rounds with. Was hoping the 302s might be higher flying in the long irons, as I definitely don't get enough launch/height out of the 201 long irons. Appears maybe that may not be the case with these.

I’ve never been fully sold on Miura. They do feel unique and nice but I might get flamed by saying this but I kind of prefer the really soft feel Mizuno has. The miuras feel more solid though. Kind of a small difference. Maybe that extra forging strike miura does really does make all the difference in feel.
