I will be visiting in 2 weeks. It'll be the third time visiting Phi Phi.The 1st time was back in 2012.I still have the snorkeling gear I bought back that I'll be taking with me once again.
The boat ride looked kind of fun. I dont think the basement looked too bad at least you had space. I would want to book a tour for sure that will be so cool. xx
Hi guys where in phi phi don is the ferry pier, just concerned how far I have to carry my suitcase and are their any issues with COVID-19 while staying there.
If you’re looking at a map, the pier is at the very skinny part (kinda in the middle?) on the south side of the island. If you’re worried about your suitcase, message your hotel first! There were SOOO many people from hotels waiting at the pier to help with luggage. Some of them also have little carts. As for covid….the only place we saw masks in use on the entire island was inside 7eleven. Most things seemed open tho and it was still a good time!
Que coincidencia, estube alojado en el mismo hotel y creo que en la misma habitación que ustedes, si te asomas a la ventana podías ver los dos restaurantes 😂, si ustedes no podían ver los restaurantes es porque mi habitación era la última del pasillo.
We went last month and we didn't.. we booked a ferry from phuket the morning of and phi phi to krabi the night before. But as tourism is getting busier again you might need to depending when you go.. I'm not sure the times from krabi to phi phi as we went from Phuket, but you should be able to google it! Or ask at your hotel =)
You don't say where you were setting off from? I am staying near to the pier in Phuket, there must be a local bus service? To set off in the afternoon is surely too late for a day trip?
We were staying near Kata beach in Phuket. Hopefully you were able to find a bus!! Yes, the afternoon seems too late for a day trip.. we took a ferry to Phi phi and stayed there for 2 nights before continuing on to Krabi!
Will be there in June and planning this same track from Phuket to Phi Phi for a one day stay over. What is the name of the hotel, $20 for a decently central location is perfect.
Ahh that's amazing - you're going to have so much fun!!! Our hotel on Phi Phi was called Panmanee Hotel. It's a budget hotel so not stunning (as you can see in the video), but it was only a couple minutes walk from the ferry! They were also super helpful and gave us the cheapest price for both the full day tour that we did and the ferry onwards from Phi Phi to Krabi =)
@@NataliesPassport Thank you, budget is definitely ok with us, we're only planning on being there for a night so we can hit up Maya Bay in the morning before everyone gets there, so hopefully they can hook us up with a boat that will take us. Also our plan is to continue onward to Ao Nang the next day for Railay then catch a flight from Krabi back to BKK.
Sounds similar to what we did! Although we planned on staying just one night on Phi Phi....and ended up staying for 3! I'm sure if the hotel can't find you a boat you won't have an issue finding it somewhere close by - there are soo many little tour shops there! We also continued on to Ao Nang and then Railay! So much fun! Videos on both of those should be coming soon!
Sorry what was the name of the port or area you left Phuket from? We were looking at Phuket for 4 nights but now considering 2 Phuket 2 phi phi Don. We are a family 2 adult 1 child
We left from Rassada Pier like 10 minutes from Phuket Old Town. Honestly we LOVED staying on Phi Phi Don!! There isn't as much to do as Phuket, but the viewpoints are super nice for sunset and you can rent kayaks, chill on the beach, and soo many cheap boat tours to do! 😍 There's also a lot of partying on Phi Phi Don, so maybe double check your hotel reviews that it isn't right next to a loud party bar or something!
Mmmm I would guess if you paid for a private long tail boat to Maya bay, then you should be able to! A lot of the tours leave in the morning tho so if you want to do a group tour thing you might miss it. Also also if you’re not staying overnight in phi phi there are lots of tours directly from Phuket to Maya bay for a day!
We haven't done that personally, but I'm sure if you're willing to pay more they'll definitely do it! There are soooo many stands selling tours and stuff as soon as you arrive to Phi Phi Don! Ask around at a couple of those to try to get the best deal ^_^
Hi do you think ferry is safe for 1 and 4 year old children ? I want to explore and see the island. Does the ferry drop you off and stay or go back after drop off ?
As long as you're with them, they should be fine! There were even some babies on our ferry. The ferries are basically like public buses - they just leave you on the island on your own. We stayed overnight which is great if you want to explore the island and do a boat tour to the other Phi Phi islands! If you want to do the ferry there and back the same day, make sure you check the times first. That would be the cheapest option to just explore Phi Phi Don. Or if you want to go around to the different islands and get back to Phuket the same day, there are lots of tours you can sign up for!
Thanks for the content and appreciate you guys explaining the process. Quick question, is it possible to book a direct ferry from Phuket to Krabi? Did you see any option for that when you were at the pier?
Hmm I'm not positive, but I think there's an option for that! Check at any of the little tour operator stands in Phuket and they should be able to give you exact times and prices!

Are there any private long tail boat tours ?
If you're willing to pay more you shouldn't have an issue finding a private boat!
Thanks for video. Please pan your camera slowly to have better effect
Thanks for the tip 👍 I'll keep it in mind next time ^_^
Where to get ferry from ?
Which hotel you stayed?
We took the ferry from rassada pier in Phuket. Then on Phi Phi Don we stayed at Panmanee Hotel!
Did u guys book the tour when u arrived in Thailand locally or prior?
We did everything locally 🥰
Hi , do we have to book a ferry before hand ? And i will be travelling from krabi to phi phi , so do you happen to know about the timings? Thanks !

Could you please share the link for ferry bookings?
We booked ours in person so I'm not sure where to book online! There seem to be a lot of sites if you google it but I'm not sure which are legit.
