The North-Eastern regions of India like Meghalaya, Mizroam, Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Sikkim, Assam will blow your mind as well. Very different from the general idea of India you might have. I am from India and visited Shimla when I was very young. This video is so well taken, it makes me feel like visiting Shimla again. A lot seems to be changed and it is had now become so much better.
I am from Shimla, and thanks for visiting! Shimla in the snow is unlike anything else; it still has the good old British charm. I run an Airbnb there, and I always tell my guests that they should visit Shimla during the snowfall. When everything shuts down and the only way to explore is on foot, it will remind you of Narnia. PS: Have a wonderful stay in India!

Shimla is definitely a great place to visit it seems... It's really good to see an American woman enjoying herself in Shimla without any security issues... This shows that India is becoming more safer for foreign tourists... Only Jammu and Kashmir can beat Shimla in my opinion...
Hey Natalie, I randomly came across this video of yours and I can't help but comment how jolly and cheerful of a person you are! Always smiling and showing what true happiness looks and feels like. Also, loved watching Shimla through your lens. Been there only once, back in 2009 and your video makes me wet to go back there again! Your most recent subscriber from Kolkata, West Bengal, India
Hi, Being from Shimla, this video is an accurate description of how beautiful it is, haven’t been home in the last 5 years, soo many things look different but I’m soo happy after watching your video, feels like I was just there!! Loved it!
Hi Natalie, just came across your channel and Subscribed instantly, you have a very positive attitude. I recently travelled all over western America and i must say it is mind blowingly beautiful! Shimla reminds me a bit of the mountains of western America, i will definitely visit Himachal Pradesh when i get back to my home city of Chandigarh! Thanks for the videos and keep up the great work. Love your vlogs Natalie. They are so fresh & full of positive vibes unlike a few other vlogs by foreigners which just focus on the cramped quarters of old Delhi.
wow you're a real explorer: experienced all weathers and environments with a smile on your face! Hope you enjoyed it, I really appreciate your fearlessness.
Seeing your hometown in the videos is really weird. The thing i love about Shimla is I can tell it's my city just by the architecture as the city has a lot of buildings from british times. It feels like a special city to me.
Great video! If you haven't experienced the Indian monsoon, you should explore the Western Ghats and near waterfalls during that time. The rain-soaked landscapes are stunning.
I hope you realize how lucky you are to see snow in shimla I am born and raised in shimla your vlog made me fell in love with my town again. In my grandfather's time which is not very old only 60 years earlier Shimla used to receive snowfall of about 7 feet height but now due to global warming it has come to 1 feet in the city centre and snow lasts only 2 days. So that's why i said you had a very great timing visiting shimla. Many tourists come to see snow but leave dissappointed. And I am really amazed the distance you walked jakhu temple to Advanve study museum and multiple rounda on the mall road only local pahadi people walk this much. But you should have stayed 2 more days in shimla it takes 3 days to cover shimla holistically. To visit places like Narkanda, Tattapani hot springs etc Very nice vlog great job.
Aww thank you 🥰🥰 wow I can’t believe it used to get 7 feet of snow!!! 😱 that’s so much! I was excited when I just saw little flurries that morning, so it was amazing to get so much snow overnight 😍 and yessss - I LOVE walking especially when I travel! And walking around Shimla was so nice - especially with the super cute mountainy street dogs!!! 😍 I wasn’t prepared for how cold it was, but hopefully I can stay longer next time I make it there 🥰❤️
Enjoyed this video like a movie, the scenes of snowy weather were amazing, especially the mountains, surely some of the best places in India are in Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand.
India is the only country in the world where there are forests, deserts, mountains, agricultural areas, where there is maximum rainfall, and also deserts where there is no rainfall, there are rivers, where snow falls and it is also a place with extreme heat. It is the only country in the world where you can feel all the seasons and all the nature.
Good to see foreigners loving the stray dogs of India without any fears. It's a shame that the majority of people in India overreact when they see a stray dog. Your interaction with the stray dogs is one of the best moments I've ever seen in travel vlogs. Keep loving dogs ❤
Aww thank you 🥰 I love dogs everywhere but the street dogs in India (especially in Shimla!!!) were the best I’ve ever seen 😍 I just love the big mountain dogs 🥰

Hello Natalie, ❤️ It’s nice to know that Shimla was good for you. Also, I would like to thank you for the way you presented India’s picturesque places to the westerners through TH-cam. Actually, they visit every year even the Old Delhi and many of them have been expressing concern over the focus on only two or three sites for content creation and in the end some disdain toward our country.
I also hate that 😭 before I came to India that was all that I had seen on social media. So I wanted to explore more places! I was so lucky seeing all the snow in Shimla 😍😍😍 it was amazing!

I'm from Shimla and regularly travel to places by foot because of snow and stuff during winters and it's a heavenly experience.. Even when you are out with friends at night during thunderstorms and snow its so good.. I remember my mother carried me when i was 13 months and walked up to Jakhu temple holding me all the time.. Idk how she did it but it's amazing 😭
Why is snowfall in India so surprising? We have a whole Himalayan range and so many of our states lie in this range. Do foreigners not expect snowfall in the world's highest mountain range?
@@NataliesPassport, interesting! That surprises me because the world knows the basic fact that India has the Himalayan range. And given that the western world enjoys a very high literacy rate, one would expect at least them to apply basic common sense in this regard. One reason behind this could be that these people perceive the Himalayan mountains as tropical, devoid of any snow or chill, despite its elevation. The other could be that human ignorance is so rife that most of the times, stereotypes trump reasoning, the level of education notwithstanding.

The North-Eastern regions of India like Meghalaya, Mizroam, Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Sikkim, Assam will blow your mind as well. Very different from the general idea of India you might have. For example Meghalaya has the world's wettest place on earth (mawsynram), Asia's cleanest village (mawlynong), living root bridge (should be a wonder of the world), waterfalls, canyons with crystal blue water, cloud covered towns
I really want to go to Meghalaya!!! Hopefully I can get there before my Indian visa expires in November 🤞

Shimla is so nice and way different than a big city like Delhi!
The India's diversity and beauty is both kinda amazing and insane tbh.
It really is insane! I had no idea how diverse the country was until I got there 😱😍😍
I am from Shimla, and thanks for visiting! Shimla in the snow is unlike anything else; it still has the good old British charm. I run an Airbnb there, and I always tell my guests that they should visit Shimla during the snowfall. When everything shuts down and the only way to explore is on foot, it will remind you of Narnia. I am born and raised in shimla your vlog made me fell in love with my town again.
To visit places like Narkanda, Tattapani hot springs etc
Very nice vlog great job.
Aww thank you 🥰🥰 wow I can’t believe it used to get 7 feet of snow!!! 😱 that’s so much!

Why is snowfall in India so surprising? We have a whole Himalayan range and so many of our states lie in this range. Do foreigners not expect snowfall in the world's highest mountain range?
I think most foreigners just don’t expect snow in India 🤷♀️
@@NataliesPassport, interesting! That surprises me because the world knows the basic fact that India has the Himalayan range. And given that the western world enjoys a very high literacy rate, one would expect at least them to apply basic common sense in this regard. One reason behind this could be that these people perceive the Himalayan mountains as tropical, devoid of any snow or chill, despite its elevation. The other could be that human ignorance is so rife that most of the times, stereotypes trump reasoning, the level of education notwithstanding.
