I saw Def Leppard in concert about 6 months ago......then I heard a band called Snake Oil perform Hysteria at the Sturgis Motorcycle rally this past August. It was then and there that I decided to take up guitar. Hearing you perform is an inspiration to me. I listen to your cover when I get discouraged and it really fires me up. My all time favorite Def Leppard song. For those of you as old as I am, you may remember the laser disk of the Hysteria live concert had, as a bonus and unlisted, the Hysteria music video on the LD! I played that over and over!
On another note I think the solo for Hysteria was/is probably the best for this version...due to the fact they are both doing the solo at the exact same time in unison while Joe is playing rhythm... Love it.
You have to love the imaginative playing styles of DL's guitarists. You've done an excellent job of capturing all the little nuances of this song.. Great ear for detail. I enjoyed it very much....
Told the Mrs. I was jammin' out to Ben Leppard this morning and she immediately texted me back and said, "oooh can you please send me his Armageddon It cover? It's my favorite version!" :-) So I did, and then I sent this one to her and some co-workers and the first response I get back is "Wow. Mesmerized!" I could listen to this 100 times straight and love it every much the 100th time. Glad you did these live versions since they have not been you know what-ed...fingers crossed! :-D
