Funny how this happens. Allyoutube had to do was suggest it to old school rockers and boom, it takes off. But let's be clear, it takes off, because it gets off. It's truly spectacular, thank you
Ok so as a beginner guitarist, what is the purpose of the overhand part during the solo? Is there a real purpose or is it just a “badass look”? Forgive my ignorance.
One thing i have noticed is people who are really good at their craft, make it look like they are playing slow.. Nice and relaxed not struggling around to find the right position and no stupid facial contortions like they are going into cardiac arrest. You fucking smashed this man, good job. Respect from Aus.
When I was a teenager, 13 or 14, self-taught keyboard player, I used to record my ‘covers’ as the genuine songs played (1980’s metal - pop) and record them on another cassette dubbed together, and a mate of mine took a recording to play to his Dad who was a cabaret pianist as I wanted lessons - he listened to over half an hour of riffs and backing strings or choirs etc before turning to his son, my mate (I wasn’t there btw) and said “Do you know what makes his playing stand out so much, and fit note perfectly - he’s not playing anything from the songs, he’s not copying anything from them, he’s playing along with them and improvising missing parts, now *that’s* a real musician - there’s nothing I can teach him son, tell him I look forward to seeing him play live one day) which did more for my reputation than playing ever did. I imagine it’s the same feeling I get from listening to this - he’s not covering it, he’s improvising as he plays along - and adding to it. Incredibly humble playing. I went on to join the Armed Forces (where I still played the occasional ‘ball’ - alone, with my Roland W30 and it’s incredible sequencer) until I very soon married, and gave it all up for 7 kids. Now, aged 51, sat with my Korg Kronos, I don’t wonder what might have been, because I never wanted it, and have no regrets at all - I’ve had a very good career in electronics and mass spectrometry! The music will still be there, long after I go. Excellent playing, very expressive, and a great song! Edit: Oh, I’m already subscribed, and I don’t subscribe to many - I need to check more of your music out (it’s probably what my intention was the first time around.) Stay healthy!
Thanks! My intention on a cover like this is to copy it note for note as it’s for tuition content. I have a series of ‘Leppardized’ covers where I add my own parts to songsz
Perfection! Played this in my band in the late 80s/early 90s, which hooked my wife of 30 years. Thanks so much for posting this. I may pick up the guitar again and play again.
Everyone rips "hair metal", but everyone is still listening. The YT threads on this 80s stuff is full of young people for a reason. As usual, this incredible players nails it. 👍
Never heard a more accurate tone and cover of any song! There's too many 'instagram' and 'youtube short' guitarists out there now who only pose and could never play in a band setting. You my friend are an insane player! 11/10!

I've seen some good covers of this song. This one isn't good. It is absolutely amazing. The best one I've seen yet. Dude you nailed it. Great great job my man. I'm a fan.
I have no idea what that one top comment was talking about saying it was "so close" to the original - you nailed every single note man. Flawless execution as far as I'm concerned. Just a superb cover. Awesome job!
WOW!!!! VERY well done! You should be very proud of yourself. That's what dedicated study, intrinsic melodic feel and humility while performing can get you. Bravo.
Great job as always. I've always thought this was one of the most melodic solos ever. As someone who has struggled to get this one under their fingers, I can attest to the fact that it is not easy.
I can get behind this! The short lead up to the overhand was the only part of the solo that drives me nuts! I’ve been working on Scotti’s version for a while and that feels so alien to my hands! Your interpretation is slightly different or at least the fretwork is different enough that it makes sense to me! I would have never noticed had I not labored fruitlessly for so long trying to learn the solo! The way you play it is no where near as busy as I’ve seen it played! Amazing tone and none of the nuances missed throughout! When i research songs online, Songster is my go to page because it overlays every guitar and bass line together with a sort of midi play along throughout the song for each part! Some of the things you picked up on werent to be found on the Songster version! I’m going to join the Patreon page soon, as I’m pretty sure it will be worth the price of admission! Keep it up!
You’re very kind! Remember that these vids are always the highlights where most of it comes together. 9 times out of 10 I’d probably muck it up. Cheers!

Right guitar choice
I agree with you Even though both players used kramers …
Absolutely perfect . The 80s you had to have talent , skill to make it. No auto tune .

Nice job, I went to high school with Scotti, he wrote played that lead and you did a good job with the cover!! They are still going strong today.
WOW!!!! VERY well done! You should be very proud of yourself. That's what dedicated study, intrinsic melodic feel and humility while performing can get you. Bravo.
Congrats to your Skid Row's I Remember You Guitar Cover video reaching 1 million views!
@@JosephIriye ah thank you! This one just seemed to get caught in the ‘algorithm’ 😁
Oh boy, your covers actually brings me back to many forgotten songs 😁 love it 🤘🤘
You killed it dude.
Wow. That was perfect. My very favorite guitar solo and you nailed it. All I have to do is close my eyes......
Made a beautiful job of that
You may be the most versatile player on the planet! Love the videos
Very kind, thanks
One of the graceful hands I've ever seen..
Wow!!!!
Great job as always. I've always thought this was one of the most melodic solos ever. As someone who has struggled to get this one under their fingers, I can attest to the fact that it is not easy.
hey man just wanted to thank you for you channel every time i learn a new song about 90% is based on watching the way you play it thanks
Nailed this Skid Row song, friend! Very impressive!
thx for the time travel back to the mid 80s, a pleasant time in high school.....always easy on the ears and heart
I like the mix of the chords instead of playing the same power chords through out. Tone is perfect.
You just demystified my childhood. Nice job.
Outstanding job, i hope that Scotti sees this video
please bring back my high school days .. 😀
I love how you work the whammy bar ... very good :)
Amazing, incredible..
Morning , this is one of the finest pieces. Rock on ..
Oh it's you. The smooth guitarist..rock on brother...I enjoy watching, and listening to you play..you make it look easy..Mr smooth
amazing power ballad!!
YOU ARE THE BOMB. You keep throwing down rock covers and nailing them like a roofer hangs 4 by 8s, never missing a beat. Hail!
Simply incredible, and that tone is all sorts of wonderful! 🤘🏽🤘🏽
so friggin sick bro, clean af as well
Greatest power ballad solo ever recorded. Really it's the greatest power ballad ever recorded. And you pulled off to perfection sir!
👍🙏🤝🤝🤝🇮🇩🇮🇩🇮🇩
Keep it up!
Dude, I can't watch you play without getting a giant grin on my face.
That awesome bro..
Awesome track, great cover. Cheers
Well done!
Melhor cover que já vi dessa música! Muito bommmmmmmm! Amo tocar essa música também
What a flow and a smoothness without any effort whatsoever. Cracking tune👍🤟
This in my opinion is one of the best guitarists on youtube, he makes playing a solo look as difficult as me or you tying our shoes.
You’re very kind! Remember that these vids are always the highlights where most of it comes together. 9 times out of 10 I’d probably muck it up. Cheers!
Glad you didn't say socks.....!
I have been listening to skidrow for years, since they came out and gone to their concerts, you are really good, very nice job. 👍🎸🎶
I have watched many cover of this song. This one is the best!! Well done
Scotti Hill has one of the best slow vibratos. And that Jackson sounds good.
Nice.
Trip down memory lane.
Bad ass cover. Great job on all the pinches and dives!

One of the best solos from the 80s . Nice job 🤘🏻
That's clean and perfectly on time. You nailed it. And the details. The best cover I have ever seen.
Isso soa perfeitamente idêntico ao original, parabéns.
