Great video. I've been looking at many different video reviews on the Legion Go vs ROG Ally. Been on the fence between the two. Your video just tipped me over onto the Legion Go side. I definitely will be purchasing one. Thanks.
Got mine yesterday and so far no issue. Only the battery wont last 1.45 - 2hrs playing AAA games. But if only used it for media player it will go higher maybe aroung 4-5 hrs I guess.
I would say the most I've ever gotten playing a bigger game at Max TDP is around that 130-145 mark but never any more than that. But that's usually all that I need anyway and then I'm off to doing something else. Glad you're enjoying it so far!

I'm actually working off mine as we speak. It's insane what this device can do. It runs smoother than my current PC, & the emulation of video games is amazing. I got the 1T for about $700 open box from Best Buy, & I honestly don't regret it. My only two gripes is that it's heavy, and the battery dies fast. Yet that's easily fixed by using it with a dock at home, and carrying a power bank on the go. I took a long time deciding between this, the steam deck OLED, and the Rog ally. It's more powerful than the Steam deck, can play windows games, and doesn't have the micro SD problem the Rog ally has.
Been going back and forth on getting this. Still undecided. I think the heavyness of it is less an issue than bulk and how it feels around the hands and grip.
I got my legion go recently & it all comes down to personal preference at the end of the day. ROG ally is a streaming console so that for me goes put of the window since I can do the same exact things on my cell phone & tablet. The Steam Deck & Legion Go are better options in my opinion. My only issue is trying to enjoy games like Mafia 3, it runs horrible unless you know how to tweak your settings. I literally went right back to Sleeping Dogs, one of the most underrated games & sad to know the developer is gone and no one got their hands on that IP. Sadly I didn't have my Legion Go while I was Hospitalized, it would have came in super handy then 😭
I 100% agree that it comes down to personal preference and that's something that I emphasize a lot more in my video comparing the 3 of them. All are realy nice, and it comes down to what the consumer is looking for. There are some nice websites that have a lost of optimized setting for the games for the Ally (and Go by extension since they're on the same chip). And oh no! Why were you hospitalized? That might be too personal a question, so you don't have to answer, but I hope you're doing better now!
Nice video, i think the only way they could have forward-facing speakers, is if they redesign it so you couldn't detach the controllers, because the speakers would have to be on them.
I love my legion go it's like a Swiss army knife . You can play docked , in handheld, fps mode , or remove the controllers and flip it to portrait and use it as a tablet with a universal stylus . I usually play docked at home and when I want to watch movies I plug it up to my bedroom TV and remove the right controllers and use the touchpad to navigate through my movies. I play most of my games at 800P with games set to low with Radeon image sharpening up to the 70% to bring back some detail and get better battery life . I just wish there was an option to purchase some fps pro controllers that can adjust the triggers with console sized thumbsticks with a different look to stand out from the regular controllers .
You hit the nail on the head SEVERAL times in this post! The Go does so many things really well which is amazing. I absolutely love this thing. I'm glad you have found so many good, practical users for it! Pro controllers are something I have not considered 👀
In the settings of the legion space you can toggle automatic start of the program and the device will open on the base windows program and do so faster, i get an average of 30 second start up on mine by turning off many of the unnecessary start up programs.
I picked up the 1tb model from Best Buy open box deal for 600 I love this machine better than SD and ROG ally love the versatility of this device along with this gorgeous screen .
Im so torn between the SD OLED and the legion go man..... Its like so hard to choose cus i really want a machine with windows so i can semi use it for some uni work cus my normal gaming laptop is heavy af to carey everyday, also i can get a lot bigger range of games on the legion But the SD OLED man you gotta give it to them for low TDP performance and that crazy good screen. Part of me also likes the detachable controller which becomes a mouse but i cant rlly guarantee ill like it without trying it out first Honestly frustrating when i cant pick 💀
I had an ally and sold it and got a deck. No regrets. However I didn't need the ally for desktop use, so that would depend on what's best for you. For me the battery is king.
Thanks for the honest review i think I made a good choice, I've just bought one on buy now pay later, should take me about 4 to 5 months to pay it off.
I sold my Steam Deck to buy the Legion GO and I have zero regrets even tough I enjoyed the Steam Deck a lot. I was really tired of the dual boot on the Steam Deck, the screen was too small to my liking, the lack of power, etc. The screen on the Legion Go is perfect I love the fact that it can pretty much do everything.
That definitely makes sense why you liked the Deck, and I think it's cool that you left your options open and found something you love more too. Both are great!
I did the same thing and sold mine. The Steam Deck was good but it couldn't handle the most demanding games. Now with the Legion Go I can play most games at 1080p with 60fps. I'm loving mine!
@Cholostyle10 Settled on the Steam Deck. It appears that the legion go has some issues launching some steam game (steam deck is built for steam games), and with some adjustments, you can use cloud gaming or emulations on the steam deck (basically making it a lighter Legion Go).
I used mine for 2 weeks and had to take it back which is a bummer i liked the device but while diagnosing heating issues with lenovo it hit 99.5C on the cpu just doing a scan either theres a massive overlooked bug lenovo missed or my unit was behaving oddly, *note it only got hot while charging whether running thunderbolt or the stock charger i was hitting upper 80s with the Lego and my nvme was also around 80C which is bad for it, the bug i think i had or others might have and your free to check my cpu package was running around 34 watts at all times even on the desktop just idling, the cpu was also running around 4.1-4.3 on all cores supposed to be 3.3 ghz i tried changing tdp to 5 watts no change 15 watts etc no change to the cpu package, os modes in legion space did nothing changing actual windows power proflies didnt change anything something to keep an eye on LeGo owners, great video and id love to hear if anyone else notices the temps being much higher plugged in vs on battery, Lenovo advised me to take it back while i still had a return window and like i said i loved the LeGo alot its a great machine but long term with those temps had me worried, Great video as always David!

Some people mention color grading is a bit off but I'm not sure 😅 On my Macbook it looks fine, and sometimes depending on the phone I use to watch it on TH-cam, it looks a bit washed out 🤔 Still trying to figure it out, but I app the feedback!

Your video made me spend the money 😂 I've had the steam deck OG since it's launch and I've always wanted just more. So with that said the more I watched videos and videos I pulled the trigger and ordered mine. Hurry up UPS and get it into my hands already 😢
Help please! This is the device that I have been interested in the most, but I am very leary about getting it. I love my Steam Deck and how easy it is to jump into games because I've always been a console gamer. I'm intimidated by PC gaming and find it to be a headache overall. My buddy let me borrow his ROG Ally, and, while I was impressed by its firepower, I really didn't like its interface compared to the Steam deck. Plus, I wasn't so impressed that I thought the Deck was inferior or anything. Sorry for the convoluted explanation. My question is, should I get this, or just stick with the Steam Deck? P.S. My SD is the 64GB model, so I've also been considering upgrading to the Oled. Just letting you guys know exactly where I am coming from. 😅
Hello there. Idk if it matters anymore, but yeah, if you can, upgrading to the oled model is a decent upgrade. More battery, much better screen with better quality and slightly better size (same resolution tho) and a slight improvement in ram to be a lil bit more powerful. I've watched many reviews, and as you said, it mostly comes to that... It is clear. The legion go is way more powerful, it has way more flexibility cos basically is a handheld pc, but with great power... Comes greater issues. The battery lasts less, it's a lil bit heavier, And, as you said, the main thing is the "simplicity" steam deck, as a videogame console, is pretty much set and go. The legion has some issues which you need to fix and tweak so you can have a much better experience, with better graphics and better performance. If you're not willing to learn, or that causes you anxiety or simply you do not like that, then stay with the steam deck :3
Still torn between the go and ally. Went in to Best Buy to see them in person and I feel like the 2 things that actually worry me a bit about the go is 1. how bulky (not heavy) it is, I was actually surprised how light it was but also didn’t expect it to be so huge (was also expecting the ally to be smaller) and 2. what concerns me more is I’m worried all the buttons/triggers on the back will annoy me. Besides that the go on paper is definitely more appealing but like I said I’m worried it’s going to be a bit uncomfortable or annoying to be touching 5 buttons on the back accidentally all the time….
Hi, Floppy Taco! As far the back buttons go, they're non-intrusive in my experience! They meld pretty well into the back of the device and they do not have to do anything if you don't want them to. That being said, the Go is definitely a much chunkier boi than the Ally, so I definitely get that. For me, the big screen, great hand curves in the grips and Kickstand make up for it. But absolutely 100% personal preference
@@DavidAVelez1 Hi, David! Thank you for addressing me by my formal name 😂 (I always forget this is still my username). But on a serious note I very much appreciate the reply and feedback. I actually wasn’t even considering the go until I saw some of your videos on it. For the buttons on the back (which might be my biggest problem) you’re right, I don’t think it’ll be much of an issue if I keep them unmapped. And as far as the size goes I think I have to agree that the other features make up for it. On top of that, while the ally is smaller and a bit more “portable” it’s still a pretty big console and the more I think of it the more I start to feel that the difference in size is as negligible as the difference in weight. That’s all to say I believe I’ve made my decision and will be choosing the “LeGo”. Thanks again for the feedback and videos, it was all very helpful!
I suppose they're top firing speakers because of the detachable controllers not being able to have the speakers on them. So to keep the bezel around the screen small, they placed the speakers at the top and had them top firing not front.
As much as i heavily contemplated getting the LGO, i could not get past the fact that the software is nowhere near being polished enough for a decent Windows based handheld experience (most of the problem is windows side but the software is making it worse), ended up getting the Deck OLED and hopefully 2nd gen handhelds from the big companies will be in a better place with experiences from this gen being carried forward. Now if only Microsoft would pull itself together and make a decent Windows handheld front end that is not kb/m restricted that hopefully shuts the OS up to conserve resources when in handheld mode. Mainly driving Windows since 3.0 but is really cumbersome on a handheld and it shows, SteamOS is just more fluid and natural in every way with desktop/handheld modes being the icing on the cake for each use case without sacrificing the limited resources we have in that form factor. I truly believe the next legion will be worth getting with better speakers and battery and display.
i got a SD OLED and i love it. So clean compared to the design of the other PC handhelds, plus i dont mind learning how to use Linux. Been on Windows all my life. And no you dont get 1-2 hrs on SD lol, ive been getting 4+ with Persona 3. 3 hrs for sure. or 10 hrs with emulations
The SD Oled is awesome! I 100% understand the appeal. And sorry, the 2 hours was more my experience on high end AAA games like FF7 Remake and the like. You ate 100% right that it gets a ton more battery on other games!
I've been looking at all of these for a while. I mainly want to play Valheim and would prefer to use a mouse/keyboard. I assume that is possible? I just want something more portable. Small 85key keyboard and wireless mouse.
I did NOT think I was going to like the Go so much. It's amazing 🤩 It sort of ruined the Ally display for me. It's hard to go back to the Ally after using the Go
I hope that asus takes some notes and incorporates all this on the ally 2. Hall effect controllers are a huge want aswell. Detatchable controllers that look ergonomic as hell, bigger screen with small bezels, and longer battery for the ally 2 would be game changing.
Been playing DBZ Budakai Tenkaichi 3, Demon’s Souls, Dark Souls, Pokemon Stadium, and a bunch of other Gameboy games. Love the Legion so much. My only gripe with it the abysmal battery life which does suck & the other is the ergonomics of it but i like having it on the kickstand with a controller so not totally bad. Other than that this thing is a beast for a lot of things especially emulation
Hi there! Thanks so much for joining along for the journey 😁 The Speaker is poor, unfortunately. Very sad. The tweaks in the options help, but still a far cry from the Ally and Deck
I've been on the fence to get the legion go I'm just afraid to deal with Windows 11 because all I've been hearing is that it gives you a lot of stress what do you think about that
Windows is fine for most people. Better support overall for games, no need for a proton/wine passthrough layer (which does cause additional fps loss, anyone saying otherwise is lying). Not saying SteamDeck is bad, its just this is definitely better.
I would honestly say I have not had a big problem with Windows! It's been a very smooth experience for me, thankfully. Some Windows jank, but things work the way I expect them to 97% of the time
I got my legion go last month atfer watching your first video about, once i saw i could play madden on it i had to have it lol. I got mine 1TB from best buy open for $644 and it wasn’t even opened when i got it lol. But i dont see me ever getting rid of it until the go 2 releases.
Think it be useable nice visual novel tablet? I might use it without joycons cause due to my disability the lighter the better and I just want a decent visual novel tablet for learning Japanese that doesn’t seem like a rip off or bad like a surface go or is too big like surface pros
I saw someone tell in a video that a bit of electrician's tape on the controllers is enough to make the wobble go away. I haven't experienced it yet. But I haven't also detached my controllers that much yet. So it might get worse when it gets a bit more worn in.
I just today finally for the first time in a long time went into a best buy and was able to take a look at the legion go and rog ally. I was shocked with just how bad the legion go feels like just the dpad feels soooooooo bad and the face buttons aren't much better I thought the way it feels isn't even close to ally or steam deck. Also those sticks are so small for what it's such a massive handheld super weird decision to use small sticks
@David A. Velez, I also own a Legion Go and work in mental health. The organization that I work for does not allow us to use our documentation system on personal machines. I guess it is because the implementation of firewalls and security to protect patient information. Did you have any problems with that when trying to set that up? I would not say that they do not allow us but rather I have never been able to get it to work.
Very cool that you work in mental health also! For the software we use, we have to download Silverlight and another firewall type software before we can run the Clientel Program, but I can do all of that on the Go and Ally no problem!
@David.AVelez we use a web application that has a url tied to our organization. That's the best way I can describe it. We still have to have firewalls on our company laptops and tablets. I think I would end up getting in trouble using my go. I'd be gaming on my lunches instead of taking working lunches like I do now lol.

Do you get the sound of something connecting or disconnecting from a USB port right after windows boots up? I keep getting a weird tone like that right after windows starts every time and its annoying.
Owning multiple Lenovo devices it’s funny. The sound quality is always garbage in there devices. I’ll keep buying them because they’r hardware is otherwise top notch. I will say though I can’t wait to see them really start to improve on the audio
I've always played games on a laptop as i could never justify paying hundreds of dollars for a console that is just for playing games and is useless unless plugged into a tv, so the legion go with the addition of a Bluetooth keyboard was a no brainer for me.
Best pc handheld for me. I play it docked on my tv with my RTX 3080 and egpu, 4k max settings. I play it that way probably 65% of the time, and 45% just handheld with no egpu. Love it!

this computer im on making this post is a old amd A6 vision the old prototype apu. its a hp pavilion with no gpu on the board like the previous hp pavilion i had that was only 2 years older that died playing mugen 1 day. it can play skyrim and resident evil 6.its on windows 7 that was debloated . i bought a legion go because the power supply was acting odd and the ram is old. the legion go on windows 11 debloated is only 1.25 times as strong at the same clock speeds. the z1 extreme can go a bit higher but capped to 3.5 ghz they are virtually identical. thats how bad windows 11 is. hsi which is supported by directX 12 actually makes the gpu cores bogged down with system processes and amd put fewer gpu cores and added more cpu cores. you never reach 50% cpu usage
Excellent video! I have an iPad Pro M1, I’m interested in the Go as a media consumption device to watch TH-cam, TH-camTV, Netflix, the WNBA, Hulu, Kindle, browse the web, play games etc. I never see people show Netflix, TV or movies on it! I know the focus on it is gaming but it is a windows device so a person can do OTHER things besides gaming on it. I do not have a PlayStation so I’m wondering how the premium version of PS plus looks on the Go which allows a pc user to stream PS4 games and some classic PS games without even owning a PlayStation. Anyway, I am very LGBTQ+ so not attracted to to men at all, but I think you are a very handsome man!!

Thanks for the frame rate tip... I am planning to get a legion go ... and probably would not have enjoyed playing as much without your tip.
Nice video, i think the only way they could have forward-facing speakers, is if they redesign it so you couldn't detach the controllers, because the speakers would have to be on them.
This is a great point!
Or else you'd have the game sound blasting out of your hands when detaching the controllers 🤣
Switch pulls it off very nicely. But it’s a different machine with less demands.
@David.AVelez I just use my Samsung Buds Pro earphones, and they sound great with my legion go!
I love mine once you get it dialed in it's great
Heck yes! More of a learning curve than the deck, but nothing to crazy I don't think!
What about some comparability of some games to this screen? Is it true that some games are not compatible?
I’ve got mine a week and I love this thing.
Let's go! I'm so happy you're loving it too!
Hey so I want to buy the legion go but I want to play with 4 people with ps5 controllers, is that possible?
Im so torn between the SD OLED and the legion go man.....
Its like so hard to choose cus i really want a machine with windows so i can semi use it for some uni work cus my normal gaming laptop is heavy af to carey everyday, also i can get a lot bigger range of games on the legion
But the SD OLED man you gotta give it to them for low TDP performance and that crazy good screen.
Part of me also likes the detachable controller which becomes a mouse but i cant rlly guarantee ill like it without trying it out first
Honestly frustrating when i cant pick 💀
Go with Legion go I love mine it's a mini Pc.
I had an ally and sold it and got a deck. No regrets. However I didn't need the ally for desktop use, so that would depend on what's best for you. For me the battery is king.
Very professional review. I buy one. Tx you David.
Thanks for the review. Helps in my Steam Deck vs Legion Go research.
What did you get brother
@Cholostyle10 Settled on the Steam Deck. It appears that the legion go has some issues launching some steam game (steam deck is built for steam games), and with some adjustments, you can use cloud gaming or emulations on the steam deck (basically making it a lighter Legion Go).
Am I should wait for legion go 2 or buy one now ? Please advice
Not to mention the left speaker static noise issues, and the coil fan wine sounds like a 747 taking off.
The Legion go is so Amazing!! You need to buy one I play my go more than my Playstation or Xbox true story
Haha, I love the ringing endorsement! Definitely one of my favorite pieces of tech!
Hi bro , I am thinking to buy it,I want to know one thing that, I do forex trading and love to play games, so on this device ,I can browse same as laptop and download things? Also can ply games?
Cz if it works like that then no reason to buy a s9 fE plus Samsung tablet.
Plz suggest me
I just got one of these and I'm loving it.
Awesome! It's a great device, I'm glad you're loving it too!
nice vid. Torn between this and rog ally. One thing, your video is nice but the color grading is kinda off. its too washed out. Well thats only my opinon.
Some people mention color grading is a bit off but I'm not sure 😅 On my Macbook it looks fine, and sometimes depending on the phone I use to watch it on TH-cam, it looks a bit washed out 🤔
Still trying to figure it out, but I app the feedback!
I got the legion go 2 days ago off ebay for $550, im absolutely in love with it. Soon when im get more money, im going to uograde to 32GB of ram and 4TB of SSD. The LeGo is just beautiful.
I'm planning on doing that upgrade too! It's great that the instillation looks easy to do.
@@Dirt_heart I'm sending my LeGo to SlickBuys so he can modify/upgrade my LeGo. He has a TH-cam channel showing all this. He's truly talented.
32gb ram and ssd? isnt that gonna be more expensive than 550 legion go? i mean 1 tb cost over 100usd
@@Rr-j4x Maybe but slickbuy offered $500 including mail+delivery for 4TB and 32GB ram update along with some fan upgrade. I'm just waiting for a reply to see if he can also upgrade the battery on the LeGo
@@Rr-j4x Not at all
I have bowel issues, so sitting down is incredibly painful for me even after 2 operations. I purchased one today thanks for the review ❤
Your video made me spend the money 😂 I've had the steam deck OG since it's launch and I've always wanted just more. So with that said the more I watched videos and videos I pulled the trigger and ordered mine. Hurry up UPS and get it into my hands already 😢
UPS HURRY AND GET IT INTO THIS HUMANS HANDS!
Hahaha, I'm glad you pulled the trigger and I hope you love it as much as I do!
@@rainme963 Very helpful! Thank you so much for your advice!
@@DavidAVelez1
Hi, David!
Small 85key keyboard and wireless mouse.
so, which one would you get if you had none? Steam Deck, Rog Ally or Legion Go?
Legion Go!
Legion is the best hands down, I have mine since launch never looked back from the deck as the display is amazingly awesome.
I did NOT think I was going to like the Go so much. It's amazing 🤩
It sort of ruined the Ally display for me.
Absolutely love the software incorporated on the ally too.
This was perfect to know b4 I buy it
Side note you are very good at what your doing so thank you
Been playing DBZ Budakai Tenkaichi 3, Demon’s Souls, Dark Souls, Pokemon Stadium, and a bunch of other Gameboy games. Love the Legion so much. My only gripe with it the abysmal battery life which does suck & the other is the ergonomics of it but i like having it on the kickstand with a controller so not totally bad. Other than that this thing is a beast for a lot of things especially emulation
This is my next purchase, 3 more weeks till I get it!!!!🎉
LETS GOOOOOOOOO, enjoy! It's awesome and they still regularly update with new features!
I had issues after playing helldivers 2 for a while when charging it crackles - not sure if it’s the game or the device.
Crackling while charging? Super interesting! A visit to the r/LegionGo reddit might find and answer for you!
It might be the game because that happened to me once while playing HD2 on the Steam Deck.
Great video 👍new subscriber I like legion go but speaker is just poor. I think the ally 2 gen will be better
Hi there! Thanks so much for joining along for the journey 😁
The Speaker is poor, unfortunately. Very sad. The tweaks in the options help, but still a far cry from the Ally and Deck
Just got mine today before work! Can't wait to get home and get some games on it.
Absolutely and unequivocally yes it is worth every penny!!!!
What this guy said!
It’s dope but yeah it kinda can get heavy
Hahahah, definitely. Especially if you're going all hands (no table) for an hour
I use the Xreal 2 pro glasses with my legion go and im so good.
Very nice! Having that immersive AR/VR experience is awesome!
Getting mine in 3 days... Can't wait!
Especially with so many nice top down games coming out!
How is it? I’m thinking about picking one up
@@ExilePerformanceGarageSo far so good! just got this morning! setting up everything
Let's go! I'm so excited for you! I hope you love it too!
LETS GOOOOO
It seems he enjoys it as well !
I love my legion go. Plus I have the onexplayer x1. Like them both.
I have a onexplayer as well. What are the similarities and differences between the two?
As the only one with detachable joy cons, if you don't want to hold something heavy two joy cons is lighter than any other handheld haha.
I've been on the fence to get the legion go I'm just afraid to deal with Windows 11 because all I've been hearing is that it gives you a lot of stress what do you think about that
Windows 11 has never stressed me out. I'm a casual tho. So I don't know what bothers people about windows 11 but it's definitely not stressful
Windows is fine for most people. Better support overall for games, no need for a proton/wine passthrough layer (which does cause additional fps loss, anyone saying otherwise is lying). Not saying SteamDeck is bad, its just this is definitely better.
The setup is a little annoying, but once you have it done, everything is worth the trouble. It's honestly the better device compared to others.
I would honestly say I have not had a big problem with Windows! It's been a very smooth experience for me, thankfully.
Some Windows jank, but things work the way I expect them to 97% of the time
I agree! There's some jank but it mostly the works the way you expect
I got my legion go last month atfer watching your first video about, once i saw i could play madden on it i had to have it lol. I got mine 1TB from best buy open for $644 and it wasn’t even opened when i got it lol. But i dont see me ever getting rid of it until the go 2 releases.
If the Go 2 releases. I don't think the sales have been amazing
My Maddeb 24 will not run properly, they say the graphics card isn't big enough. Has anybody else had that problem?
Think it be useable nice visual novel tablet? I might use it without joycons cause due to my disability the lighter the better and I just want a decent visual novel tablet for learning Japanese that doesn’t seem like a rip off or bad like a surface go or is too big like surface pros
It doesnt have two trackpads like the steam deck so its unfortunately not useful for me as I use those 90% of the time for pretty much everything.
Great point! That's not something I really use much on the SD so I forgot to mention it, but your raise a great point that's 100% valid!
I have both, the ally and the legion go; But I use the legion go. Not most of the time, every time.
AS an audio entisiast, I hate what you did with the EQ
Sorry 😅
Are you experiencing any controller wobble?
Thankfully, no! I did not even know people were experiencing that but it makes sense considering how the controllers detach
I saw someone tell in a video that a bit of electrician's tape on the controllers is enough to make the wobble go away. I haven't experienced it yet. But I haven't also detached my controllers that much yet. So it might get worse when it gets a bit more worn in.
Well, what your recomended to me. The Go or Ally ?
If higher budget go for legion. But rog aint bad either, but its on discount tho
They are priced equally@@TheGutuso
@@kewa_design bruh. Just go and google
I am a mental health advocate, have taught Nami’s Peer to Peer 8 week course on mental health education for adults three times now so I love you both work in mental health!! We need you! You are both healers!
Do you get the sound of something connecting or disconnecting from a USB port right after windows boots up? I keep getting a weird tone like that right after windows starts every time and its annoying.
Yup, I believe it's due to the controllers reconnecting for some reason
Owning multiple Lenovo devices it’s funny. The sound quality is always garbage in there devices. I’ll keep buying them because they’r hardware is otherwise top notch. I will say though I can’t wait to see them really start to improve on the audio
Legion or Steam Oled? I’m puzzled 😕
So if an have an Xbox, can I play my games there with my current purchases and achievements???
Correct! You connect your XBox game pass account and you're good to go!
I've always played games on a laptop as i could never justify paying hundreds of dollars for a console that is just for playing games and is useless unless plugged into a tv, so the legion go with the addition of a Bluetooth keyboard was a no brainer for me.
I just wish Best Buy had display units. I'm already over that stage of wanting to try it but it would've been nice
They have a 14-day return policy. Buy one and try it out.
Best Buy has a good return policy of two weeks, I definitely think its worth giving that a shot!
I said the same thing without checking the comments 😂
This guy is 100% right!
Give it a shot OP!
Best pc handheld for me. I play it docked on my tv with my RTX 3080 and egpu, 4k max settings. I play it that way probably 65% of the time, and 45% just handheld with no egpu. Love it!
You use aorus rtx 3080 gaming box?
Hey I am planning to buy the legion go and play it with 4 people in the same legion go with ps5 controllers, is that possible?
Is getting the device setup up out of the box that hard? Do I have to fiddle with a ton of settings to game well?
Hi! Honestly, I don't think so! Pretty straightforward. You just set up/login to your Microsoft accounts, set up a PIN, etc.
And then Legion Space has launchers for Steam and other platforms,
You login, and you're good to go!
@@DavidAVelez1 Based thanks! I saw that the legion space thing now has all updates like drivers and stuff from the program and then you just download windows updates. I think I'll pick one up.
nah it was easy settin mine up !

Yes. No question
Full blown powerful windows pc and gaming handheld
If i were to play and keep it plugged in for hours just to get a better performance, does that harm the battery on the long run of the device?

Iv got a steam deck lcd model and love that thing looking into getting the legion go (at the right price though ) 😂I’m in oz so it’s more like $1400 here.
I like the screen size and Xbox style sticks, being a big Xbox player myself
I play a lot of sport games such as nba 2k, im looking for a handheld device. Is this worth it to remote play my Xbox?
Man u dont want to play sports game with remote play especially 2k it has latency and lag already u gone miss every shot
Can you connect this to MacBook Air? I mean just to display games.
And is it capable of playing split screen games with two ps5 controllers?
LOLOLOLOLOLOLOL
No because MacBook Air doesn't have a video input port. Splitscreen with 2 controllers will work but keep in mind that it is more strain on the system so depending on the game performance can take a hit
@@jordirapper thank you 🙌🏽

If they throw an OLED screen in there, I’ll happily pay $800 for it. Otherwise, I’ll stick with my Steam Deck OLED for now.
honestly rocking my gpd4 love it
That's awesome!
How much better performance/graphical fidelity are you able to get with it?
Legion is too gimmicky to be taken seriously, ASUS ROG Ally has more power than Steam Deck on paper but world world experience is quite different and Steam Deck is for people who simply want to boot up a game and play. There, saved you guys time...
its ok but i think ally rog is still better. When you try to downscale the graphics it looks super choppy compare to ally rog.
Love my GO!
How does this compare to a laptop? I’m not sure wether like surface book or this.. I already have Nintendo switch and a gaming desktop
Anyone else in this similar place? Thanks anyone 🙏
I have the go I had 3 ally’s as card port fried everytime
Sorry about the Ally SD Slot issues. I've never tried the SD Card, just using the SSD and got an SSD from Lexar which has been great.
BUT, so many people have had issues with the SD Slot and that's definitely not okay

I just want to know if someone can please share their experience on whether 16GB of RAM is enough or not?
Ya my legion go works great with 16gb. I play lots of current games on it like rdr2 gta 5 mad max wwe2k23 days gone dying light 2 spider man miles morales so ya it plays just fine.
it's enough for most game unless you only play AAA game
this computer im on making this post is a old amd A6 vision the old prototype apu. its a hp pavilion with no gpu on the board like the previous hp pavilion i had that was only 2 years older that died playing mugen 1 day. it can play skyrim and resident evil 6.its on windows 7 that was debloated . i bought a legion go because the power supply was acting odd and the ram is old. the legion go on windows 11 debloated is only 1.25 times as strong at the same clock speeds. the z1 extreme can go a bit higher but capped to 3.5 ghz they are virtually identical. thats how bad windows 11 is. hsi which is supported by directX 12 actually makes the gpu cores bogged down with system processes and amd put fewer gpu cores and added more cpu cores. you never reach 50% cpu usage
I don’t support LGBTQ
It use to play fornite so good but after a week just lots of lags an fps drops
Oh! That's odd 🤔 Sometimes it's the windows drivers updates that mess things up a bit.
