Is that true? I tried looking for proof and couldn't find anything 😅. Also makes sense cause they barely used licensed music and just stoped playing them in season 3
The problem with the show is it tried way too hard to be like the James Gunn movies, while also trying to adapt the Brian Michael Bendis. Unfortunately both of these things didn't go so well.

Gamora being racist to humans in this show is weird and ironic to me, considering she falls in love with Nova in the comics and Star-Lord in the movies
Really, my problem with the Disney XD Marvel animation shows as a whole was that the universe was so inconsistent and disorganized. Each show would literally retcon events, character designs, their shows in general just to fit with the movies and the people behind behind these shows just basically said get over it. I also agree that the best parts of the show was where they were taking inspirations from the comics rather than the movies or theme parks. I also didn’t like how this show along, with Avengers Assemble ended the way it did. Like all the other marvel shows that came out before Disney Plus existed such as Agents of SHIELD, Daredevil, Avengers Assemble, and The Runaways, I feel like the reason why the show ended the way it did was because Marvel and Disney were starting to go through some changes around the time Infinity War and Endgame came out.
Man of Action (Ultimate Spider-Man and their own Avengers show at least in the the first 2 seasons of both), Paul Dini (Ultimate Spider-Man, Hulk and the Agents of SMASH), Marty Isenberg (this show) and Kevin Schnick (his nerdy Spider-Man)
The only show that didn't really BREAK any continuity was Ultimate Spider-Man. No sudden "animation changes" to match up with the MCU or whatever. That's mostly because Spider-Man wasn't in the MCU during its run, and by the time MCU Spider-Man came to be, Ultimate Spider-Man was wrapping up
They completely wasted the Guardians disbanding concept. One would think that Peter would move back to Earth and search out whatever family he has left. Rocket and Groot are a pair and would never leave each other. Drax from the comics has a two adopted daughters. Gamora and Nebula would team up and disband Thanos's empire.
I remember there was a short period when I was a kid where I remembered enjoying the show somewhat. But I never went back to watch it like I did with other shows of my childhood so ig at some point I realized it wasn't worth my time.

Love these reviews John David games of what I like to call "the undeserved trash marvel cartoon era" bc not a single show they did after this rebranding to be more like the movies has worked with marvel's spider man, avengers assemble, hulk agents of smash, and guardians were all bad. And it's crazy bc marvel was knocking out the park with their animated shows years prior with the holy trifecta of Spectacular spider man, wolverine and the X-Men and Avengers emh. How do they go from some of the best marvel shows first before butchering it with this "it's a shared universe to go alongside the movies but not really" anyway can't wait for you to finally be done with this trash universe JDG with the last video.
I’d also through in Fantastic Four, worlds greatest heroes. It was a little bit before the other shows (2006), but it was a great adaptation of some classic fantastic four stories.
I personally think that season 1-3 of Avengers Assemble and ultimate spiderman were in the same universe but season 4 is in the same universe as gurardians and season 5 is in the same as 2017 spiderman along with the episode where the guardians meet spiderman
Which no doesn't make sense but it's the closest I could think of since the only reason they used 2017 spider man is because that was the spider man at the time so they had to use it. Also I'm still mad there isn't shading because it was done by Disney the richest company

I was honestly hyped for this show when it was announced but it honestly just felt like an insult to the characters. Will Friedle as Peter Quill is one of the worst voice castings ever. He makes Quill sound like a goofy teenager which doesnt work for this material. I get theyre trying to make him sound funnier and child friendly but it just got goofy and embarrassing at some points.
0:11 It reminds me of marvel vs capcom 3 and its marvel side of the roster They had so many famous characters... famous by the late 2010s. When it came out nobody recognized half of them
James Gunn should've just made the show, they wanted to recreate the magic of the movies, Gunn would've done it in a fun but different way, because he's the only one who can recreate his OWN MAGIC. The greatest cliffhanger ever.
Will should have used his Robots in Disguise 2015 Bumblebee voice, and not Ron Stoppable... He's voicing a grown man, not a teen. Though that's more the fault of the voice directors, huh?
there was like this one time i remember correctly in the trailer for GOTG vol 1 peter was at his house and i know his mom pass away. and then he was abducted by yondu there and the rest is pretty much normal. i think there was a mandela effect for me when i was 9.

I dunno, I didn’t think it was that bad but I also didn’t know they were trying to pull from the comics and give it a James Gunn twist. My biggest complaint, is who they got to voice Quill; which if you grew up with Kim Possible, you will IMMEDIATELY recognize Quill as Ron Stoppable and to me it’s distracting to a point of being nails on a chalkboard. I just feel Quill was miscast here, and I wouldn’t suggest putting Chris Pratt the role because, and don’t get me wrong I ADORE Chris’ portrayal of Quill in the live action movies, but I think him portraying the animated character would’ve been worse? It just would’ve been jarring for sure because something about it would seem off, but maybe that’s just me and it wouldn’t be as bad as I’m thinking it would be
your right, the showed was flawed and made so many mistakes. I remember Spiderman and Nova teaming up with the Guardians of the Galaxy, Spiderman underestimated them until they shut him up and showed him what they're tough. Spiderman felt so stupid for that.

That is the only one thing that I really did appreciate about the show everything else was pretty wacky my opinion.
Gamora’s forehead is throwing me off ngl
+1 😂😕
4:08 i really didn't like his deadpool voice it was just annoying, nolan north would have been better as he had past experiences playing him
No respect to the Dan abnett Comics whatsoever.
They didn't even bring back any of the voice actors from EMH.
"Will Friedle voiced Ron Possible"
Am i a joke to you?
Post the Yoshverse all the Marvel cartoons were a mess. The Guardians meet Thor for the first time.... 3 times in the same continuity.
I understand that the X-Men couldn't be used, but try to follow the comics.
Taf tho I feel like this type of shows main purpose is to introduce children to the MCU and marvel in general which it did in my case.
I tried to watch that show. Didn’t make it too far. It also had some confusing effects on the continuity
Oh well, every season and series literally retcon events from the universe 😣😵 💫
@InevitableOption-ic2vx Yeah
Marvel cartoons from the 2010s do not leave a good or unforgettable impression, because The Earth's Mightiest Heroes is a memorable beginning 😵💫🤪
I could tell this was going to be shit just by looking at it. Just like the avengers series they cancelled earths mightiest heroes for it was made to capitalise on the mcu stuff. It was rushed out, looked bland and didn’t really care. I didn’t even bother to watch this show
The dark age of super hero cartoons began with Ultimate Spider-Man. The dark times. We still haven't recovered.
2021-present was the revival era
X-Men 97 is the exception, no the norn.
Mantis was supposed to be the celestial Madonna, aka not whatever the hell this was
Probably in the MCU, Mantis could be that
Guardians of the Galaxy animated series made me hate myself after every episode. I hated myself for wasting my time watching this trash TV.
Boy, ain't that the truth?
If these shows were comics then I won’t be surprised if they didn’t have a editor.
What I don’t like in Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy Mission Breakout is that Hela’s and Valkyrie’s new design since it tried to match the MCU version to pander MCU which it’s questionable and weird to me
Love these reviews John David games of what I like to call "the undeserved trash marvel cartoon era" bc not a single show they did after this rebranding to be more like the movies has worked with marvel's spider man, avengers assemble, hulk agents of smash, and guardians were all bad.
@@phabiorules I also got to watch that show as well
I beg of you to please review Hulk Agents of Smash, you need to continue the Disney XD marvel universe.
>"Black Portal is an Awesome Comic Book Event"
>Written by Bendis.
You're lying.
Is nobody gonna speak about Warlock's jem is Soul Stone that NEVER showed up in Avengers Assemble?
I personally think that season 1-3 of Avengers Assemble and ultimate spiderman were in the same universe but season 4 is in the same universe as gurardians and season 5 is in the same as 2017 spiderman along with the episode where the guardians meet spiderman
Which no doesn't make sense but it's the closest I could think of since the only reason they used 2017 spider man is because that was the spider man at the time so they had to use it. Also I'm still mad there isn't shading because it was done by Disney the richest company
It's also weird that the 2017 spider-man design is in the ultimate spider-man style
@@marlo176 I think because the 2017 style was so different then the Guardians of the galaxy style so they has to use ultimate otherwise it wouldn't look right
That makes sense, so I agree.
We really needed the writers from Avengers EMH for this show.
We need EMH's writers for a lot of Marvel projects.
@@_V.Va_ One of the writers of EHM was Man of Action (Ben 10, their own Avengers show) who wrote 5 episodes
Now I watched this show as a kid and I have a grate deal of nostalgia for it and the other Disney XD shows
Same xD 💪😎
Saaame
The Good: The Spartax and Cosmic seed storylines.
+1 🫡
Will Friedle definitely could’ve done better. He voiced Batman Beyond. Terry and Batman both had distinct tones.
Agent of smash was meh. I just rewatch this show a few weeks ago and I already forgotten about it. maybe it was made to be forgotten or they had so many idea in the wall but fall back to the movie in hope that this would be as popular as the movie. As for everything else it clearly they didn't finished watching avenger assemble to know that Thanos is dead in that show or something.
But the first season is ok, then it's very, very bad and every season and series literally reboot events from the universe 😣
@@ptypekoffline03 yeah I have to agree season 1 better than both season 2 and season 3 combined. At least it makes sense compared to the other season at least 🤔
I watched this show when i was young, i remember loving it
Adam Warlock was in Avengers - Earth's Mightiest Heroes, when the Guardians made a guest appearance (co-incidentally, it was the same episode that had Michael Korvak).
I'm glad there is someone to suffer as I have (I watched all episode of hulk agents of smash)
All I can say for the show is that Rocket sounds annoying.
I completely forgot about this show after 2017 lmao
Hi! I just wanna say that i love hour channel and that i would love for you to make a vid on spectacular spiderman and spiderman the animated series! And ik that you wont do that just cuz some random guy commented it but i still think that it would be a great video
20:40 iron man is the only one with SHADING
Can you do a review of Iron Man armored adventures?
Yeah this show like avengers assembled was a trainwreck from the very beginning
I don't think so, later it sucks --> Only the beginning of the first season is good until the nineteenth episode 😲😏😒
@@ptypekoffline03 I can understand that
@@ptypekoffline03well what’s wrong with the 19th episode?
@@gregtheradical i have no idea
I didn’t even know this exisres
Make a vodeo on Iron Man armored adventures and fantastic four worlds greases heroes
ah you gonna review hulk show next, its the one i remember the most
thank you was always on the fence to watch it
I was honestly hyped for this show when it was announced but it honestly just felt like an insult to the characters. Will Friedle as Peter Quill is one of the worst voice castings ever. He makes Quill sound like a goofy teenager which doesnt work for this material. I get theyre trying to make him sound funnier and child friendly but it just got goofy and embarrassing at some points.
0:11 It reminds me of marvel vs capcom 3 and its marvel side of the roster
They had so many famous characters... famous by the late 2010s.
Star lord sounds like the 2012 spider man
0:45 like marvel rising, will you do a video after hulk serie of that thing?
Make an episode about earths mightiest heroes and spectacular Spider-Man
there was like this one time i remember correctly in the trailer for GOTG vol 1 peter was at his house and i know his mom pass away. and then he was abducted by yondu there and the rest is pretty much normal. i think there was a mandela effect for me when i was 9.
Oh. So I didnt make this up in my mind. Ok
Oh and for the connected universe segment yeah the disney XD marvel universe gets worse when you realize that the cartoon avengers earth's mightiest heroes also takes place within that same universe which is proven sense in avengers assemble season 1 there's flashbacks with that show's animation style and earlier seasons of ultimate Spider-Man having those versions of the avengers show up on his show and the ultimate Spider-Man version of Spider-Man himself shows up I avengers earth's mightiest heroes
Will you review avengers emh after hulk aos
Can you tlk about hulk and agent's of s.m.a.s.h?
I'd love it even though I've never watched either of these recent Marvel cartoons. There's also a review from Ranger Review on the show.
I live near my school so I always walked home during my lunch period and this would be on when I got home
Seeing this show now just makes me think of eating Hot Pockets and Doritos
It just would’ve been jarring for sure because something about it would seem off, but maybe that’s just me and it wouldn’t be as bad as I’m thinking it would be
I used to watch these shows before i ever saw any marvel film
your right, the showed was flawed and made so many mistakes. I remember Spiderman and Nova teaming up with the Guardians of the Galaxy, Spiderman underestimated them until they shut him up and showed him what they're tough. Spiderman felt so stupid for that.
When insaw guardians of the galaxy after seeing them in avengers assemble, i was heavily disappointed. Gomorrah was a green black widow, quill was downright pussified, drax was ok but groot, rocket and cosmo stile the show.
Fun fact:gamora is voiced by Vanessa Marshall who voiced black widow in avengers EMH
