wow, such a sick mod! I didnt know there was a whole modding community behind these watches. Now im gonna buy one and do one myself. thanks for the video!
Casio is and has always been my favorite watch brand, going back at least 35 years. The one gift I could always count on from my parents was two new Casios every year, one for my birthday and the second for Christmas. I've always liked watches, going back further than I can remember, and I guess fairly early on they noticed my attraction to Casio in particular so they just kind of built on top of that. On one hand, I always knew what one of my presents was going to be, but on the other, I never knew exactly which one it was going to be. I really don't care much for the Æ1300. A lot of that comes from the three wheels taking up almost ½ of the screen. I understand they actually count off passed seconds, but I still just don't like it. What I do like about this model was ci weed early in the video, and that's that it has the same housing as the Æ1200. On the surface that isn't much, but the 1300 comes in colors that for whatever reason, Casio never paired up with the 1200. I like how your housing came out. I'm not sure which I would've preferred. Most likely the brushed look just to change things up a little. Interesting look with the film. Probably works better that lighting gels because it's thinner so you'll get a better fit inside the case. What was wrong with the screen protector? What didn't look right about it? Was it just that there was a ridge? Too shiny? Rippled? As far as that film goes, it's probably easier to cut, which in turn could possibly make it easier to cut sections of the display for a two color LCD. Lighting gels are a bit more rigid which for me makes them a little trickier to get precision sizes. Something like this might come in handy in the top right corner of the Æ1200 to divide the display.
Yeah me too - my fancy GPS running watch just died so I like the idea of going back to old skool Casio digital with interval timer - this one looks just the ticket!
I love this .. I’m doing a build series project myself.. but doing a $1000 Casio Royal build.. damasteel case and buckle lol 😂 it’s ridiculous but fun .. I’m doing a 1300 as well soon in brass and green leather
Looks cool. I've done some modding on the AE1200 myself. The buttons went bust after a while though, so I ordered a fake china AE-1200 with shiny surface on ebay, which turned out to be a full metal case with mineral crystal and engraved letters. Never seen that it again online. The display and functions seemed identical, but display had bad contrast, so I swapped it with the original casio module. Very nice. The only small thing is that the dimensions of the fake module were half a millimeter larger in each direction, so I had to pad in some plastic. The buttons work fine, but sound is not always working on button presses. Maybe I'll make a short demo video as it is pretty unique.
Awesome video! Love the way this mod turned out! I’ve never done any moding but this video makes me want to try! I recently won a Casio World Time so maybe I could do something like this on that watch! Thanks again! By the way, I’d love to see more moding videos like this on your channel!
Watching Casio Quick question, what program do you use to make your thumbnails? They’re great! Also, do you use a phone to film your videos? What kind of Tripod do you use? Thanks! I love the quality of your videos. I’m looking for tips as I’ve started my own channel recently.

I bought my Royale just to mod. Erased text on the outside and inside just left Casio and the button functions. exactly as yours! Updated today, taking the discarded rubber strap from my Duro, cut it to lug size (20to18), and tapers perfectly with the Royale! metal and rubber combo makes it sportier and its not available yet from Casio.
A nailpolish remover will remove the lettering much faster, with no harm to the plastic. Then it's down to minuts, not 25... It will also remove the printing on the outside of the case. 🙂 And i know it's an 'old' video, but PPL still buy these watches. And off course, mod's 'em.

Can the pull out type pins in the buckles be changed for quick release pins? I think metal buckle are better than plastic what do you think ? Do you think you could change the back cover to to a (pure) copper backplate? for arthritis instead of wearing a bangle I want some for my watches but I can’t find them anywhere
Ah bummer. Might just have to wait it out. Not sure where else to get SINO-SKY products. They are pretty popular so I can't image they will be out of stock for long.
@@WatchingCasio we've seen some very cool mods before I'd love to see you go with a different spin on it. Different color polarizers, probably a very nice nato make it more sportier an colorful
Is the disassembly the same as the royale? Also will the goo gone get rid of the lettering on the stainless steel case? Lastly where would one get a green filter for the dial? ty!!
