- The Tripod necromorph is a creature made up of a conglomeration of bodies. It uses this strength to take out other humans making quick work of anyone it may come across. The question is, where did they come from? Well I think I have an Idea! So lets dive into the lore and morphology of the Tripod!

After you defeat the female tripod, she climbs up into one of those corruption-covered holes that the male tripods spawn from in the "hornet's nest" room. I wonder if all the holes connect as a sort of vent system for the bigger Necros? Anyways, great video as always my man.
That's a good idea actually, perhaps those are main air vents that supply the whole station

For every other Necromorph, destroying all the glowy bits made them inert. Even the Hivemind goes limp once their sacs are gone, but the female tripod gets hers destroyed and proceeds to not only get up and run away, but efficiently climb up the back wall in order to escape.

@@RugaQwarrcall maybe the woman to turn into this monstrosity was pregnant and the stem-cells of the baby in her womb are a regenerating factor maybe the scythe will regrow with time. plus she might have other glowy bits hidden or was an unfinished necromorph (if there where 2 or 3 babys and only one turned into a scythe-tentacle for some reason, she might have become even more deadly)
@@RugaQwarrcall Isaac did not fully remove the yellow sac of the tripod's tongue, only damaged it to such an extent that the tripod abandoned the fight. Watch the scene right after the tripod drops Isaac when it jumps away, you can still see a yellow glowing thing attached to it!
I feel like the female Tripod was intentionally made by the church either before or during the outbreak (like the Hunter in DS1), it would explain why it's only seen in the church and why it looks much more intact than other Tripods since it was made by humans and thus, aesthetics played more of a part :P.
But I wonder how? Surely it must be the corruption adding mass
Roanoke Gaming Well, I imagine it was constructed from multiple bodies by hand. Maybe with use of church members or bodies in the crypt with skin stretched over the exposed flesh and bound (although that might be pushing their devotion and also there doesn't seem to be signs of stitching so I may be wrong). It could explain in some part where The Tormentor comes from, as excess body mass or skinless flesh that wouldn't look appealing on their creation could have been thrown away/hidden and the sheer mass of flesh would have fused together into a strange inhuman mass when in range of a marker signal.
@@thingoria or maybe a combination of injecting corruption, infected samples and sacrificing themselves or others to add to the monster (or just pilling mostly undamaged body inside of corruption to create perfect condition for the necromorphs to form and grow or evolve)
Just having a think and that's not a bad idea. Maybe they were experimenting on a pregnant female with the Marker signal in the hopes of making a "pure" necromorph hense why it's a weak spot but the experiment failed and body dumped with other "failed" signal experiments but the Marker has the ability to change organic matter so it may well possible created the Corruption from the bodies and made a female tri-pod. Once the outbreak started it used surrounding new bodies to create a hive, that's why you see those little shit kid ones as if they were "born" by the mother tri-pod.... for some reason I got the image of Orc births from Lord Of The Rings... gross.
I wonder if it was created in one of the morgues of the church where they were collecting bodies?
Since how its stated the group would try their best in preserving the bodies of the dead for the sake of "convergence".
The female tripod’s death-scene particularly disturbs me in how deliberate and almost methodical she is: instead of just stabbing him with her tongue or goring him with her claws outright she takes the time to hold him steady before finally impaling him. It shows that she is more than just a mindless monster operating on instinct alone, but possesses some glimmer of intelligence
If she’s intelligent why kill him in such a sadistic way? Does she take pleasure in killing like wth?? Plus she doesn’t even kill to eat him or consume him so she gains nothing at all except killing him brutally. Make it make sense
For Halloween I wanted to dress as a slasher and maybe play dead on the sidewalk, but I'd need to make the extra limbs and I don't feel like getting stomped after scaring someone.
What if someone dressed as Isaac happens upon you? haha

The most terrifying Necromorph is the Twitcher, because of the unrealistic movement and incredible speed, its kind of like they can just teleport in front of you.
I was also partial to the stalker myself!
Yeah, I agree, the Stalkers a hella creepy, but the noises that the Twitchers make just gets to me, really badly.

I can just imagine what the Necromorphs were thinking when they were making this abomination, I reckon even they'd look at this thing and think "alright fellas take 10 very long steps back" I can imagine a slasher would say, I reckon what really happened is some Necromorphs, probably a slasher, a brute, infector and a pack of those damn Raptor things came across a ton of bodies and the alpha of the Raptor pack says "gentlemen, we have the technology we can rebuild them, stronger, taller, more bizzarre, we'll make him so hideous that it'll make guardians look attractive" then a montage of making the thing and then they bring it to life and they say "gentlemen I think we've outdone ourselves" I always imagined what Necromorphs would talk about in their free time, I reckon they'd talk about health care, politics and the many ways you can decapitate a man, imagine if a marker was destroyed but they didn't die... now what?

I've never really given it much thought on what the difference was between the male and female tripod was, never really noticed until you pointed out. I'm willing to bet that the male tripod might actually be a 'rush built' brute that didn't have enough time to complete, if that's something to go on.
That's a possibility, the female was in the church so maybe she was exposed purposely to the corruption by the unitologists

If you look close enough you can see the elevator and male tripods also have infants on their scythes. I’m thinking a pregnant women or infant is always involved in the transformation which makes sense since typically in evac situations, VIPs, children, and women are first to evacuate, so infection on an evac craft seems more probably. Or it’s possible a dead mother cradling a child was dragged to a pile of bodies, as seen in Dead Space: Downfall

Dead space is great but I’m kind of looking at the chance of getting chimera virus videos from resistance not too different from necromorphs in that the chimeran forces alter and combine biomass from humans to create there troops including some special units like the leviathan and titans

Indeed there were! There are a few places like the tram station, rec area, docking area, and storage where they could have lived, but for the most part it seems that the small hallways would have been too much!

@@RoanokeGaming Oh, and I think the scythes may just be a reuse on the developer's part of similar assets -- in this case, the scythe models. This sounds especially true when you consider that Isaac never actually has a chance to shoot them off the "male" tripods.

Loved it as always, but was still left questioning the strange lump on the females back. It almost looks like a mouth weirdly enough.
Edit: After re-watching the female retreat it looks more like a sort of sack than anything, I wonder if it's collecting bodies to create more tripods, would make sense why they are labeled male and female.
I wish I could get a better look at it to figure out what it is exactly, I need to figure out how to slow down videos so I can take better looks, might be something I learn with my program here soon

Best video to watch while having breakfast... Anyway, it could be the case in the female tripod that the skin on the belly was streched due to not having a baby inside anymore and that's why it looks shall I say smoother? Also, regarding the smaller tripod; when a mommy tripod and a daddy tripod love each other very much...nope, too gross. But you mentioned that the heads of the victims could be in the thickest part of the tripod's body, so when one is taken out, these heads go ahead and take control of maybe each limb, and shuffling some biomass in a scene that would leave even the tentaclest of hentais to shame, you get 3 new small tripods.
Also, call me Boring Adultman but I get my candy from the supermarket and just clean the eggs from my windows on the weekend
Is the multiplayer of dead space 2 still active, had to redownload the game and after 3 hours of struggling i managed to make it work but their were ea connection to server issues
as far as I know it no longer works, EA wouldn't keep a server running a minute longer than they have to lol

CrazyOne I played some on Xbox a few months ago.
I just finished a couple matches in DS2's multiplayer on Steam, yesterday. As far as I know of, the Steam Version of Dead Space 2 is still alive. Just with more hispanics than English/other foreign language speaking folk.
