- The Fodder, Or Waster necromorph to some, is a creature who patrols human structures looking for noninfected. The strange thing about these creatures however, is that they seem to keep their overall human shape. Is this intentional or just an oversight? lets find out in this episode!

I always thought they were people turned into those necros because of the little swarmers that take over people in dead space 3
those can definitely turn you into fodders as well but there were no swarmers present on the Lunar colony during the outbreak! I do have a video planned for the swarmers tho!

I'm sad on EA pulling the plug on this gem of a game. I can at least rest easy knowing how they could've continued to butcher the game if it had another installment
The Brethren Moons payed EA to stop Dead Space because Issac was about to curb stomp them all.

Ooh my favorite addition to the Necromorphs. They’re less likely to approach you in the dead of night and sell you their new mixtape and more likely to approach you in the dead of night and just hack and slash you down with a cool stick they found.
@12:09 I actually have a theory as to how Isaac can actually curb stomp through most Necromorphs despite being only human, I think he uses his boots(which no doubt have powerful magnetic function since he can walk on a ship's surface in Zero-G) to magnetize to the ground and he ramps it up which causes his foot to force its way through whatever happens to be in between it and the ground
@Minecraft Jesus Gaming Road to 5k Team Fortress 2 Kinda true, while it's not extremely heavy but it does have some weight to it, but yea that just adds to the force in which Isaac stomps but let's face it, weight isn't enough, you need quite a bit of force as well to break reinforced bones like those of the necromorphs(they are seen breaking through metal doors quite often and in the first movie, regular slashers rip a hole into a door, which in the game are shown to be several inches thick with their bone blades alone) which the magnetic function of his boots helps with.
The rigs increases strength of the user, even more with upgrades depending on the job
@@Darkus-Cyril I absolutely love this idea and while I agree I do wanna say a person in a suit like that could turn someone's head into a pancake with a good stomp but you wouldn't be getting through anything else without assistance. I think the grav thing makes so much sense

I love your morphological videos, i always wonder if you give more lore and backstory to the biological constructs of the necromorphs than the developers knew they were doing.

@@jacobweatherford4696I think the only things are stuff that former Visceral devs said about how they planned to do Dead Space 4. Ellie suppose to be the main character now and everything suppose to be like semi open-worldish, something like those Flotilla levels in Dead Space 3.

The Fodder is actually a human infected and controlled by one of those spider thingys that you can see attacking you at 10:31... There's even a death animation where you become a Fodder yourself.
Glad to see that in 2019 people are still making videos about Dead Space !

The Fodders are actually my favorite Necromorph to fight in the entire franchise.
By the way, would be cool to pick up their axes too. An axe sounds like a useful thing to have when dealing with dead things that can only be stopped by dismembering them.
Explored/explained series are at my top these days and yours are absolutely amazing. The level of detail you go into is great and I enjoy the little fight music montages (and choice of music) you sneak into these when you say, "If you decide that Isaac isn't going to lose today..."
When I read Waster, I immediately think "inhabitant of a wasteland" and in both instances of their existence, isn't that kinda true?

That's why I love issace character in dead space. He's slowly going insane to the point where he only seems normal in life or death situations
If you look closely, the glowing stuff on the face of the fodder is not liquid, it's the swarmer... When Isaac get killed by the swarmers he transforms into a fodder. That is why when you kill a fodder the swarmers come out and look for another corpse to use. Look at the mouth of the fodder while you're fighting it, you will see the insect like necromorph slightly move in his mouth
Yo I've been waiting for this and now I'm happy to know these fodders biology and morphology. Thanks for this lad because these necromorphs are my favourite from dead space 3s for having a good detailed and tactic.

Nice video, there is only one little problem. The is not reamimated by the Marker directly, instead by the little crab like creatures that crawl over you to kill you. Those enter the body of a dead human, and make it their new home. You can actually see that at some parts of the game. I believe it was later on the planet where some cultists fought against necromorph where those little things crawled around, somewhere on a cliffside. They reanimated the dead cultists but only those who still had a head on their shoulders. It happens pretty rare, so I wouldn't be suprised if it didn't got any notice. Hell, there isn't even anything on the Dead Space Wiki about it.
The Swarmers can turn bodyies into Slashers, not just Wasters.
Also they get rianimated by the marker on the city with just marker signals

I always thought of the fodder as just lazily made enemies but hearing you talk about what could have hapoend to them makes me like them a bit

I really dubt that an enemy that stands out for a clear reason than other necromoprhs and can even mutate is lazy. They are even more complex than the Slashers

Personal take: fodder and waster are the same species just at different times. A fodder is a freshly turned human whereas a waster is significantly older. The first wasters you meet are the soldiers who died from eating the infected 200 years ago. The name signifies that they've since wasted away into the skeletal creatures we find underground.

Hmm. While the Brethren Moons must be powerful, it'd be cool if Hidden Experia and Roanoke could team up for another DeadSpace/Halo crossover. The Flood Keymind may or may not be the final evolution, it's just the farthest they have gotten. The Keymind had access to all the other flood knowledge, as well as some very powerful A.I. so it was definitely very intelligent, but how would it compare to The Moons' gathered information on species all over the galaxies? I'd give a like for sure.
I always just thought they were a lazy new necromorph. But this video has brought me to appreciate them more.
they were a really boring enemy to fight and the worst part about them was their tentacle burst form that sucked even more,good thing Visceral had the bright idea to remove them entirely from the Awakened dlc with more disfigured and buffy looking necromorphs from the first two games.

You forgot one thing: there were spiders that turned corpses into necromorphs on Roanoke, and if you fail the QTE with those spiders, Isaac will throw away his helmet and spider will crawl into Isaac's mouth and then you could see that there was that yellow substance dripping out of Isaac's eyes and mouth.

Being honest, i forgot the whole three tentacules thing, but now that i see it, it reminds me of the divider, an inner creature that along with 2 other ,probably minor, creatures that use a human body (or what remains from it) as a mean to work together to kill humans and will pop out if you destroy the body, main difference is that this ones will reasemble in what is left and keep going instead of each one following its own dreams

I’m not sure if Roanoke mentioned this but the Fodders actually talk. They have a very raspy voice that is hard to understand but they make noises which resemble genuine human speech.
