AoE on pre-skeram trash might be ok while waiting for a kill target but since they all heal when one dies you're just padding the meters and increasing kill time. Some decent advice in the video tho. Little heavy on the sapper usage IMO, but my guild rolls with 7 mages so using them on trash isn't beneficial. Unless you're just trying to flex on the other mages, I'd rather save the gold and progress at the same pace.

Two more consumables: Free action potions to drop 'itchy' debuff on trash packs before huhuran (every1 should get it, makes pulling a triple pack easy) Restorative potion during viscidus as it clears poison every few seconds
What is Free Action Potion doing for the Itchy debuff? It doesnt remove the poison debuff that comes after it? Or does just remove the Itchy debuff all together?

My question on rotation for mage is, when do you switch to wanding in the rotation? like when you can't cast anymore frostbolts or fireballs at all? and also when do you then go back to casting main spell. Just curious about what you do when you're about to oom and you dont have evocation.
On Cthun you should use one trinket at the start, may or may not want to use combust depending on how long the fight lasts. Then during the transition you should drop combat and u can switch to your better trinket and drink and not waste evo. I use TOEP and change to MQG.

Add the following consumes to your list: - Elixir of Fortitude (120 hp, not much to say, extra HP is always good to have) - Dire Maul Rum (25 SPI for 5 INT sacrifice - yes you can pop it with the Black Label, they stack. As AQ is quite heavy in mana usage, trading 5 INT for 25 SPI is a great deal imo for the mana regen and for the Evocations mana gain). - Also, I like to pre-pop 1 Greater Arcane Prot Pot for Skeram and 1 Nature Prot Pot at the same time I'm getting the last world buffs so they are off CD when you're in AQ, they're cheap and will help. - As well, carrying a couple of FAPs (for the packs before Huhu) and Resto Pots (obv for Viscidus) won't hurt. - I understand if you're running a T2 set, your stamina is high enough but I personally prefer Chimy Chops instead of the Runn Tum Tuber. 250 HP has more value than 10 INT (this obviously is if you're world buffed so you can protect your wbuffs) Get rid of that T2 asap man, the 8 set bonus is great but you're losing a ton of crit, I saw you're at 10.5% unbuffed which is super low. With BWL/MC gear and couple pieces from AQ you should be able to be around 18-20% crit. Other than that, great video and very well explained ;) Critikal here tho.
A TIP FOR YOU :) If you are gonna spam arcane explosion in any fight. You might want the zg trinket. its a pain in the ass to get it but. Its good for that alone?

Kaelen Martin for trash parsing, yes (encounters + trash). It gives you more health and mana to survive with world buffs and it is higher spell power + the 5 piece and 8 piece set bonus is nuts for AoE + getting off instant casts
Which highlights the stupidity of anyone flexing on their parses. High parses = ignore adds and mechanics that help your guild win the fight, and focus exclusively and selfishly on your damage output.
improved arcane explosion and improved flamestrike is kind of wasted, cause you never will beat melee dmg in trash. better go for manareg and magical resistance
I'm killing it in AQ as Frost *shrug*, using bracers from Ossi that reduce Magic Resist of targets as well as staff that procs the same and Eye of Moam, my crits are spectacular and I'm delivering damage longer and more efficiently mana-wise than my fire spec'd counterparts. You do you.
you cant look on dmg meters when it comes to fire mages. the ignite stacks only count for 1 mage on the dmg meters. look at the warcraftlogs to get precise bossdmg.

Helps dps a lot on Visc if you pop combustion and use your third crit for the blast wave

poison elixirs are BiS Visc cuz u can pop another Gnpp
Don't waste gold on Resto pots, just farm sacks from LBRS spiders. Way cheaper and easier.

Yes you lose threat, but when he starts casting sand blast towards the mages you do a direct 180turn and out range it

All mages in our raid has PI priests, it is mandatory for all priests to roll disc in our raids.
