Mages are the easiest class in Classic. I don't know if it happened you to play classes like Druid. You'd maybe quit the game at 20 lvl..

The nameplate macro I have a tip, if you want 40yd range instead of 60yd change the "6e1" part to "4e1" and it will change to 40yd distance, lines up with a lot of range spells so you know when you can cast
nameplate macro dosent work for me idk why

For you amp/damp macro you can also do left/right click. I feel like it's a little easier and requires less to perform:
ex:
/cast [button:1] Find Herbs
/cast [button:2] Sense Demons

Ever think of using [mod:alt] function for rank 1s? Saves a spot on action bar. You can even bake it into your current frostbolt macro. Also, combine ur mouse over and cancelcast macros for poly/CS with this bad boy

Or if you want the regular targeted cast to be on alt...

Putting mount on a keybind and when you wanna demount click keybind insta de-mount btw. Dude that script macro for nameplate is amazing ty
The /stopcasting & /cancelaura Ice Block should be added to these spells: Frost Nova, Ice Barrier, Blink, Counterspell, Cone of Cold. these are the things you want to cast when you jump out of your block. instead of pressing your frostbolt and then press the other spell. Remove the unnecessary from the equasion!

way easier just to use the addon Dismounter. dismounts you automatically when you cast anything. literally anything once you click a button it dismounts you
Great vid man, just rolled a mage cause of your videos. Is there a way to do a mouse over and target select macro? Also for you mouse over macros, are those on a hidden bar?

For your first macro where you have /cast Frostbolt, does it cast your highest rank frostbolt? Or do you have to add the rank to it?

I have a question about three macros on your list here.
1. The 60 yard script gives me a warning of possible ban or gold taken away if I use it. ??
2. The Counterspell macro and Sheep macro are mouseover, but it won’t use those abilities if I already have the mob targeted unless I either mouse over the mob or the unit frame. Is there a way to add that into the macro?
3. Your wand macro untoggles wanding when I click it a second time. I thought the point of it was to not have that happen.

When you were showing the mouseover CS it wasnt even on your bars? How did you get it to work without having it on your bar?

hey Xaryu, LOVE the mage videos, I was able to get the 60 yd range on enemy name plates to work once i first put the macro in and now I'm having not luck, I've reentered it a few time even copied and pasted from your link but still no luck, any advice?

For the name plates at 60 yards, I had ran the macro b4 saving the settings within the "name" option. Is there a work around for this?
You can also stealth and cannibalize. I used to do that in vanilla all the time.
And it still works in retail. Used it from vanilla til now. Wrote ut last time in the commentsection aswell.
@@29031994290 You use that macro in order to cannibalize exactly before you go into stealth. Obviously when you are already in stealth and start using cannibalism you go out of stealth. It wasn't possible to go in stealth while cannibalism without the macro. I don't play retail since a long time to be honest, just some months in a year basically and only twinked a bit, so I've no idea if that changed in the past few years O.o

RaimaNd you claim you play retail and then claim you don’t play retail... but that person needs to re-read? You should maybe get checked.
Tip for macros for leveling, if you dont want to drag new higher rank abilities to you bar, make a macro put the spell in so lets say Frostbolt, instead of uh.. /cast Frostbolt (rank 5) just do /cast Frostbolt and it will always default to max rank.
What kind of sociopath doesnt want to drag the new rank??

Hey mate, great video! Wanted to say that the cannibalize macro doesn't work for me on Classic. I copied it exactly, except instead of Sparkling Water I got Purified cause I'm still in my 20s
You missed my favorite mage macro. Use a [combat] modifier on arcane explosion, that then allows rank1 when not in combat. It saves mana when everything dies or for finding rogues who vanished

That /cast !shoot macro has opened a whole new world for my hunter by changing it to /cast !Auto Shot
I like to have my auto attack on MWU because I'm lazy and now I don't have to worry about cancelling it in PVP.
I'm a WoW newb but trying to learn. Your dismount macro whats the purpose of having /cast frostbolt if the macro doesnt actually cast frostbolt?

Now I have a dismount macro before having a mount.
There is an addon called dismounter that does this for you automatically

That resisted Polymorph against the level 23 cat sums up WoW Classic.
How do you set it up to where you cast mana shield on your first shift + 5 and then cancel it with your 2nd shift + 5? I cannot get it to work to save the life of me. Been at it for hours lol.
