    Hi Dave, wow those drone shots are very impressive. I believe that most e-bikes can be "derestricted". To do so you would need to know the motor type your Ribble uses then search for a derestrictor "patch cable" which fits between the speed sensor and motor. Effectively they fool the motor's sensors to thinking you are traveling below the legal 15.5 limit for e-bike assistance in the UK. I am very conflicted about folk doing this as it's open to bringing E-bikes into disrepute (if it hasn't already done so). I ride an e-bike and wouldn't do this to mine, as although I think the UK government set the limit stupidly low, its the law The potential legal minefield someone get's in with a derestricted bike if they ride it in the road and get caught is horrendous.

    Hi Dave, that trail looks beautiful, especially from the drone, the follow me shots will be amazing 👌🏻, regarding the saddle I swear by poundlands foam saddle cover, I’m on my 2nd, I stocked up on them, can’t go wrong for a quid😂👍🏻

      Thanks Ian , I just need to tweak my flying skills a bit more but the image quality is brilliant. Cheers for the saddle cover tip 🚲👍

    Hi, I have the same bike as you and noticed that you have flat handlebars fitted which is exactly what I want to do as well. Did you make a video on this as I can’t see one on your channel for the ribble. Is it possible to share which shifters and levers you used for the conversion etc as I am in France and would have to order everything online, a local bike shop doesn’t exist here unfortunately.
    Thanks for the videos on the ribble, Duncan.

    Plenty flashing lights dave 😂i know the e bikes can be tweaked but not sure how🤔try dropping the nose of your saddle just off level.the decent pressure relief saddle's are crazy money.

      I’ve dropped it a little see if that softens the blow, I have found an adapter that tweaks the speed a little but not cheap £££

    How the purple lights are gone?

      No they still appear after charging , but I just ride a few yards and they go off 🤷‍♂️

    It'll be using more battery because you are using Bluetooth with your phone. Try a ride without Bluetooth

    Hi Dave, have been watching ur videos and I also have an ebike with that same flashing purple light mode, how did you manage to resolve the problem?

    • @davesolobiker5601
      @davesolobiker5601  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I just went out into the street rode up and down whilst cycling the iwoc button on/off until it eventually righted itself . had no more issues since .

      @@Hawkeye-Flyer That’s a pity ,I think I also undid the cable from the joint near the back wheel then re connected it. Then done the on/off with the button whilst cycling along .

      @@davesolobiker5601 Tried all that - no luck. Buying a GCU cable is looking better and better since I now have (assuming I don't send the problem one back) three X35 bikes here that can use updates with the nearest MAHLE service center 50 miles (as in train ride) from where we live.

      my fault there , what I meant was that the motor cut out at 15mph so had to pedal without assist above that speed.

  • @lukerider
    @lukerider ปีที่แล้ว +1

    My guess would be that you can derestrict the speed limit via the phone app, i can do this with the Easi Fit Ebike kit which i know you also have. Oh and with the bike saddle i would make sure that you have got the saddle rails (underneath the seat) set level to the ground. You should then find that when you lean forward you will get more bum support and less of the nose pressing up against you man parts which will also increase comfort. Worth a shot.

    • @davesolobiker5601
      @davesolobiker5601  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Unfortunately you can’t even do a firmware update via the app let alone derestrict the speed lol unlike the easifit app which allowed it 😂
      I have adjusted my saddle as per , let’s see how I get in with that 👍
