    Hamza Yusuf is very educated and his knowledge takes you to a very deep level of thinking. I felt the presenter was trying to compete with Hamaz Yusuf throughout the interview and kept on cutting him off out of very important topics. I was very annoyed by that.

    I reverted to Islam at 18, days before 19. I was concerned about spirituality at that time because of some near death experiences, or what I perceived to be near death experiences. They get you to think about death, and the hereafter. I can totally relate to that notion. I do agree with the notion that our past lives are part of this life. As we gain knowledge we grow and change in significant ways.

    Reading the comments here is literally making me fed up with humanity. Instead of appreciating the great words that came out of this man's mouth.. (you truly can sense that his words come from his soul), you are arguing about how he did not say why he converted to islam, and arguing about petty stupid things. APPRECIATE. LISTEN. YOU WILL ACTUALLY LEARN SOMETHING OUT OF THIS. STOP TRYING TO PROVE YOURSELF ALL THE TIME AS IF YOU HAVE GOT TO BE RIGHT ABOUT RELIGION, AND EVERYTHING ELSE. JUST LISTEN.

    • @23Fulani
      @23Fulani 9 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      Thank you!! my thoughts exactly!! I just don't understand how people can listen to such great words and find time to argue. It's like they didn't hear anything. Like the heart is sick, ears are closed and eyes are veiled.....it's really shows what's wrong with humanity and the soul!

      Mike WazWaz Poor loser Mohammed. No woman his age would marry him.
      *What kind of OLD man would marry a young girl?*
      What mentally-healthy young girl wants to marry an *OLD* man? She would want to marry a *young* man, *her age*.

      You're a schill. You realize Mary, peace and blessings of God be upon her, was betrothed to Joseph at a very early age as well, do you agree? Times are a different, and your attempts to confound and misguide people will be given its appropriate due. Do you not realize your deeds will be taken into account one day? Then how can you continue this idiocy? I do hope you will wisen up and even if you do disagree sincerely, how about acting as an adult and taking part in dialogue vs disrespecting? Again, we are all accountable for our actions. I hope your actions improve, sincerely.

    • @robertgift
      @robertgift 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      AKHAT3 If proFAKE Mohammed were a real prophet (There are no prophets. Prophets are an invention of man for his religious myths) would proFAKE Mohammed not have _stopped the abuse_ of old men "marrying" young girls? Instead, paedophile Mohammed _joins in_ the abuse.

    A very touching memoir of the evolution of this man's spirit. He continues to evolve and though we all have differences with each other and with this shaykh's views on some topics we tolerate and respect his journey and truly believe he is part of the muslim ummah just as the rest of us are. May Allah accept his and our efforts towards good.

    The point mentioned at 41:25 is SOOOO true, I insisted on holding on to my ego until a certain series of events knocked back some sense into me thankfully.
    It may have also partially impaired me socially, at least temporarily. Much better than living in that deceptive mindset.

    If Jesus is god who's the God before he came?
    2ndly, if people worship human who is born without father. Then why dont you called adam and eve gods? They existed without parents?
    Why would a guy who is a gods level being baptist by a human? Correct me if in wrong where john baptist Jesus so that's makes john better than jesus?

    • @glenyswiseman5582
      @glenyswiseman5582 10 ปีที่แล้ว

      Boy SkateMalaysia.com really lol…so you are telling us humans exist without having parents lol…and how old are you kid?
      WHEN exactly did this purported adam live then?

    • @ltchyface
      @ltchyface 10 ปีที่แล้ว

      Glenys Wiseman
      He's stating that people say Jesus was miraculous because of his birth and that miracle leads to the divination of Jesus, thus making him god to some people. Boy uses the example of Adam and Eve, seeing as how they were born from no mother or father. So how can someone claim that Jesus' miraculous birth intern makes him god, and neglect the fact that Adam and Eve were born of a more miraculous birth.

    • @glenyswiseman5582
      @glenyswiseman5582 10 ปีที่แล้ว

      ltchyface lol as we both know, every human being has mother and father
      so WHEN did this purported adam live kid, and was he really 90ft tall …so WHAT miraculous birth are you dribbling about lol

    • @ltchyface
      @ltchyface 10 ปีที่แล้ว

      Glenys Wiseman
      Yes, "as we both know it", there's no reason discussing miracles with someone who denies the Qur'an, seeing as how you have to break down the Qur'an and prove it to be wrong for this miracle to be proven wrong. And I'm merely summarizing what Boy was stating lol.

    • @glenyswiseman5582
      @glenyswiseman5582 10 ปีที่แล้ว

      ltchyface I asked you WHEN the purported adam actually lived, given your claim LOL
      WHAT miracles lol????????

    allah is one he is the only one who created every thing . jesus is not god ,,, stop creating lies and then believe in them,the bible is totally fake cause it was writing by jiwesh hands it is not the word of god,but quran is the one,is the word of god indeed ,P.S to all christian; Such is 'Iesa (Jesus), son of Maryam (Mary). (it is) a statement of truth, about which they doubt (or dispute).
    35. It befits not (the Majesty of) Allah that He should beget a son [this refers to the slander of Christians against Allah, by saying that 'Iesa (Jesus) is the son of Allah]. Glorified (and Exalted be He above all that they associate with Him). When He decrees a thing, He only says to it, "Be!" and it is.
    36. ['Iesa (Jesus) said]: "And verily Allah is my Lord and your Lord. So worship Him (Alone). That is the Straight Path. (Allah's Religion of Islamic Monotheism which He did ordain for all of His Prophets)." [Tafsir At-Tabari]
    37. Then the sects differed [i.e. the Christians about 'Iesa (Jesus)], so woe unto the disbelievers [those who gave false witness by saying that 'Iesa (Jesus) is the son of Allah] from the meeting of a great Day (i.e. the Day of Resurrection, when they will be thrown in the blazing Fire).
    38. How clearly will they (polytheists and disbelievers in the Oneness of Allah) see and hear, the Day when they will appear before Us! But the Zalimun (polytheists and wrong-doers) today are in plain error.

    He studied Arabic and master it in Mauritania (west Africa is not a country ) then he opened the door to many Muslims and reverts from the west to study pure Islam and Arabic in deserts, under tents with some shuyukh with piety (as we think of them and Allah knows best) , even though I disagree with some of his Sufi ideas , but may Allah help him teach Muslim and non Muslim about Islam and it s divine massage for humanity

    ”Such are the men whom Allah has cursed for He has made them deaf and blinded their sight.” (Q47.23)
    This conduct is not befitting of God. Why instead of blessing them with guidance Allah would curse them? Why he would make them deaf and blind, instead of giving them sight and hearing and then punish them? Is this justice? What would you say of a king blinds his subjects and then punish them for going astray? Wouldn’t you say he is a psychopath? Would God act like a psychopath?

    I never said Muhammed believed the text of the Gospel had been corrupted. Why then would he say to Christians in Quran (5:46,47) to judge by what God has revealed in the Gospel? Muhammed believed the teachings of the Christians had been corrupted by not following what had been revealed in the Gospel.

    @saltofearth60 We Muslims believe that all human beings are born as Muslims, that is submitting their will to Almighty God, it is later that when they grow up they deviate into other paths or teachings. Hence Return to Islam, means to come back to the original state, that is Submitting yourself to Almighty God. Also secondly it is also a call to existing Non-Practicing Muslims to come back and Return to Islam into being a Practicing Muslims.

    Absolutely. I'm a Christian and I find the Qur'an to be absolutely profound!!! When Muslims migrated to Axium during the persecution in Makkah, they explained their religion to the Christian King who drew a line in the sand and said, "The difference between our religions is as thick as this line." He's right!! I wish people would realize that!!!

    @ItsAmadWorld2 To answer both questions, if one makes repentance before death, then it doesn't matter what the sin is - shirk or otherwise - God may forgive you. He forgives whom He will and punishes whom He will.

    Check out the kinds of people who become Muslim, and the ones whom refuse Islam, you can separate the brave and pure hearted from the miss leaded ones.

    Yes, i know about Cat Stevens. I used to listen to his music. He will return to Christianity, once he learns what he needs to learn as a Muslim.

    God has trained me to fight using the double-edged sword of truth and reason. Christ has trained me to love the truth and hate the lie.

    Paul was writing to Christians to not argue about the Torah among themselves. He emphasizes Christians have been saved by grace and not by keeping the Torah. It is therefore useless to argue about keeping the Torah or other minor points in it..

    Hani Salim Wadi, 34, was murdered the shots in front of his house on 07 June in Kirkuk. He was a businessman known in the region. But what caused his death have not been disagreements in business. The reason was because it is a Christian who always did the love of Christ to their neighbours.

    Jesus words originally spoken in Aramaic have not been lost, as Muslims mistakenly believe.. The Gospel in Aramaic language can be found at the Peshitta website. The Peshitta is the Gospel in the Aramiac language.

    If you guys (muslims and others) are not able to comment with respect then don't there is no point in insulting. An important point is there is nothing perfect but God (Allah) and if you want to study Islam, you have to study Islam and not muslims' behaviour+ it's not only reading the text but to understand in which context and to whom the verses were adressed.

    The Quran only teaches that the Christians have corrupted the message of the Gospel by their interpretations. The Quran does not say the text of the Gospel has been corrupted, otherwise why would the Quran tells Christians to judge by what has been revealed in the Gospel and to obey it.

    You are mistaken. Lot is referring to his true daughters in Quran (11:78). This story is borrowed from Genesis (19:6) in the Bible.
