I totally confused the Western Union Building (60 Hudson) with 32 Sixth Ave. Very similar looking buildings built in the same period by the same architect, Ralph Thomas Walker.
Haha I was making New York World building asset 😂 and sorry about the LOD on the courthouse and municipal building assets I’ll have them fixed sometime
What also would look real sweet is when you replace the taxis and cop cars with the crown Vic and explorer as taxi/police. Also you could place some parked taxis (decoration) somewhere at the Times Square
This looks so great. The BK bridge is hard especially with all the connections, and there's a ramp under the bridge from the street to the Brooklyn-bound side. I used to work in that area and I go to the seaport often.
@13:30 Look at that Tin Building and Fishmarket! Really great history and lots of INTENSE controversial urbanization going on right there. The warehouse you colored there was deconstructed and reconstructed many feet back and elevated a bit because of post-Hurricane Sandy issues. It's a historic building. The abandoned fishmarket next to it is going to be demolished but there is strong community resistance
I’m a little late but wanted to say this is so fun to watch so thank you for doing this! Also the asset collection is great; I’ve been trying to find more NYC-style buildings and that’s absolutely perfect
Just subbed enjoyed both new episodes. Think you do a great job with the commentary. Keep it up bro! I’d like to see you fill in more of the blocks before move further north - get the city up and running with citizens
Democratic Presidential Candidate of 1928, 4-time governor of New York, and major investor of the Empire State Building Al Smith's childhood home was built under the Brooklyn Bridge. He grew up under its construction and one time when he was 7 his father and he snuck onto the bridge and walked across t while under construction. His father boasted that he and his son were the first people to cross the bridge. His father died in his early teens though, sadly. He grew up in the 4th ward which was rather poor. When he first got into New Yorks's Congress he wasn't seen as an equal but managed to get the other politicians' respect by his incredible speaking ability and his ability to learn the written law better than they even could. He eventually became at the forefront of the labor rights movement. He lost the presidential election of 1928 really badly as most of the country didn't like New York's dominance over the 20s and hated the fact he was a catholic. He died in 1944 (I'm pretty sure) and his childhood house was wrecked when they built the ramps from the FDR to the Brooklyn Bridge and for the public housing complex that now bears his name.
Don't forget that the man who designed the brooklyn bridge died from an infection after a ferry crushed his foot during the building process. How do you not see a ferry coming? Oh look at me blaming the victim. What am I, a driver?!
Just found your channel and love the vids :) A tip I have tho that I've seen other C:S youtubers do is to use the node controller mod to smooth out highway ramps when they're on a slope. It just makes it so that the highway doesn't flatten out when the roads join.
Im amazed like i mean wow how does youtube do this right now im working on a new york build (not a 1 to 1) but im a begginer builder so its pretty hard but im trying to make it working realistic big and good looking at the same time wich is pretty hard so i watch a lot of videos and sometimes tutorials on some special roads so to be honest im even more motivated when i see builds like this so i just wanted to thank u for what youre doing.
I don’t know, I just said it might be that way, because I checked content manager for the asset and it said it required it, may not work for you for some reason, I suggest telling the owner of the asset. Best of luck.
I would definitely like to see the downtown( adjacent )Brooklyn historical districts before you move up Manhattan like fort Greene park slope Brooklyn heights and gowanus
When I visited NYC this September one thing I noted was that it was a super bike friendly city. Bike lanes on most avenues and Citi docks everywhere. Are you going to upgrade the roads to have bike lanes?
Doesn't LOD's get better if you turn the buildings into Procedural objects? also I have 50 west + the 2 buildings next to it created as assets in my game. They're not great, but I will gladly upload them to the workshop if you'd like (and if I can manage lol)
Edit: The masses have spoken, grid expansion will come next. Thanks for the input
Please let me know, WTC complex next, or keep building the grid?
Personally I'd like you too keep building the grid but you can do either
I also think one more grid episode just to fill things out before tackling the WTC
Wtc
Wtc
If it is the real WTC, the original, do that otherwise keep working on the grid.

Yay :(
I sincerely cannot believe how professionally made this whole series is. Especially in terms of editing and production. You're gonna go far man.
The city is starting to look amazing already im excited to see the subway system in particular >w
I cannot wait to build it. I'm a big transit geek and it's so satisfying in the game.
This build is so wicked! And the view from the water extremely realistic. 👍👍 I can't wait to see it complete.

Nypd cars are already driving around. Taxis too once I place depot / stands. Gotta have those yellows

WTC next definitely. Most amazing place in NYC.
Nice to see you building the area where I go to school!
This is sickening! A masterpiece already.
another NYC series! hell yeah!
It’s already looking great 😍😋
This and Neptune city are my favorite cs series

Wow what a great project
Looks really good
I cant wait to see the city finished!

Very nice so far, bright future for this great project!
We are MOST excited about the building of the Theater District! "They say the neon lights are bright, on Broadway..."
Speak for yourself
So amazing to see you go from a few hundred views per video to several thousands of them!
It's wild. I can't believe it.
I like the attention to detail, definitely staying subbed for this project

Next episode mostly gridding. Likely a live stream following to fill in places

I would build out battery park/wtc area, then move into the lower east side
Awesome video!!! Thank you. I'm waiting for the next episode)
Started recording time lapse last night. Hoping to get episode 3 out before end of Jan
@@ithinkyouknow Okay, thank you. I'm looking forward to it. Hello from Russia.
Im glad the Brooklyn Bridge worked for you, it is broken for me, probabbly some incompatible mods. The city just does not look as good without it.
The key mod seems to be Network Extensions btw. They just released a new version 3.
@@ithinkyouknow Would you mind dropping the link?
Ay I’m watching here!
Loving this series 🔥
Don't forget that the man who designed the brooklyn bridge died from an infection after a ferry crushed his foot during the building process. How do you not see a ferry coming? Oh look at me blaming the victim. What am I, a driver?!
Blaming the victim? No, you'd be a republican.
I remember the"plus signs"

I do use node controller for that function. A lot of the fine detailing we will come back to, especially in live streams to come. Thanks!
5:00 I just joined the train !

I was a beginner once too. Gotta start somewhere. Good luck!
Ever thought about the "OpenStreetMap Import - generate roads from OSM with street names and road-type selection" mod
I'm going to subcribe because your building my city
The reason the Brooklyn Bridge may not work for some, is because the Brooklyn Bridge Asset requires the After Dark DLC.
I have after dark and it still doesn't work. : /
I don’t know, I just said it might be that way, because I checked content manager for the asset and it said it required it, may not work for you for some reason, I suggest telling the owner of the asset. Best of luck.
Loving this series already! Are your plans to make 2022 NYC , or an older version with the old wtc?
Most likely he will make 2022, as if he made old WTC TH-cam could and may very well try to gun him down for it.
Yesir livestream boi
Gg this is amazing and I just started watching
Nice video! For the graphics settings maybe add a little bit of ambient occlusion
Will give that a shot. And hope to tweak graphic settings on a future live stream
I would definitely like to see the downtown( adjacent )Brooklyn historical districts before you move up Manhattan like fort Greene park slope Brooklyn heights and gowanus
As an European it looks like an italian Guy would eat all the spaghetti

nice

Yes to some extent for sure
Hope u put in the east river park. So sad it's almost gone :(

Cool suggestion. I have considered PO for this build, but I'm worried about the FPS hit on such a large city (eventually)
Yes, PO does make LODs better.
What PC u have I'm currently looking in for PC for simulation games
Check whether the games you like are CPU or GPU limited. For C:S what really matters is CPU and amount of memory.
@@ithinkyouknow thx
Why is it when i build the bridge there are a lot of pillars under it?
Happened to me too. Needed to use Move It to get rid of them.
y ese
Hmm the low-qual texture be *s u s*
