I've been waiting for this series for literally 5 years. God bless you for being a proper planner and using the correct pronunciations of each street and neighborhoods. I appreciate a creator who likes to incorporate the history of the respective neighborhoods because of just how important it is to mention the accurate history of NYC. Well done.
Great work! When you (hopefully) make the bus lines eventually, the RTS bus assets on the Workshop are a must. I know those buses retired a couple years ago, but they’re just so iconic to New York that it wouldn’t be complete without ‘em
Just at the start of December, I started planning to make a 1:1 build of my city. Unlike NY, there isn't many real world assets from my city in the workshop. A few days later, while I was looking for other people's real city build I found your first episode which was very recent at that time. Loved your method. I must say this will have a impression on my build, which I do want to start publishing soon after I start the build.
I like how it's coming! Can't wait to see it all built up. I noticed you built the South Street Viaduct and FDR Drive with breakdown lanes and gravelly shoulders. If you want the highways to be more realistic (three travel lanes only), the CSUR Urban Roads mod will be an excellent help.
Another awesome video! If you ever get to midtown in this build, i can not wait to see how you tackle hudson yards and the javits center, because as of right now, there is NO Javits Center asset on the workshop! If you happen to find one, let me know, i've been searching for it for a long time now
I was wondering how you think you are going to detail broadway with all those buildings having to be angled at less or more than 90 degrees. idk if you have a plan but for me its really hard to do buildings like that
Hello. I believe i've seen a mod which allows to convert csl map into the map. I mean with the roads. You didnt think to use it to have a sketch road network. Did you?
@@ithinkyouknow got it! Just by my rough approximations it would take couple episodes only to draw lower Manhattan road network. PS just found your channel. I like concept for this build and liked the UK one a lot. Great job!
Live stream will be on Sunday February 6th, 2pm Eastern (11am Pacific / 7pm UK).
Will pre-schedule on TH-cam once I get a thumbnail made.
Cool I can make then
This series is by far my favorite Cities: Skylines content on TH-cam right now. Keep up the good work!
Thank you!

Super kind words, thank you
really gives you some perspective on the size and scale of New York City
loving the progress man!
Thanks. Slow and steady.
And what about you pie ? 😭
Hi
Amazing job on the roads i cant wait for live stram
I'd say next episode you should try making the WTC site and Battery Park City like you suggested last time.
I think that's going to be it yeah
Yes sir
As a fellow New Yorker, I’m super excited for this series!
I NEED MUCH MORE OF THIS
We all do!
I love seeing the people move in from the holland tunnel at the end!
This is great. Good luck with the project!

I forget which I have installed but I have mta short and bendy bus assets.

Which city do you want to build?
@@ithinkyouknow Dhaka city
Looks great man

CSUR is cool as hell. But too difficult / resource intensive for this build. It's a minor sacrifice to have some highways be one fewer lane.
Loving this build. It would be impressing cool to see you go all the way to the finish!
We build until it breaks.
Oooooh I'm waiting for your stream
Very nice city
Man i love this chill and educational 518
To underatted... Good content!
Keep up the great work!
LESS GO

Yeah Javits isn't on there. But Hudson Yards / Highline / Midtown will definitely get done.
@@ithinkyouknow I can NOT wait for that part!!!
Yoooo!
Yes sir
Absolute nice!
May I ask where you got the layout picture to build the roads?!
I build them myself using Google maps customizer from chengfolio
wow, it looks amazing! how did you get this grid with the streets and avenues?
OverLayer v2 mod and custom semi transparent png overlays

It's tough, no doubt. But a combo of Move It and some angled buildings layered into each other works well
w lower east side
Do the east village next!
Not next, but soon
Hello, a question; how do you make the map look so good with all the streets, to start making the roads of the game, thanks.
OverLayer v2 mod and semi transparent png overlays
thank you very much
What is the new York map that you are using for reference

I considered it, but I like to control which roads I'm putting down. I want to follow the correct widths, one-ways, highway connections, etc.

When is the live stream id love to join
Just put the details in a pinned comment.
It’s not your fault. It’s the game itself, the scaling is off. It looks weird for some reason.
Or am I tripping
Nah you tripping. Can I get some?
