I want to thank you so much for your program. I am a middle aged housewife who has let myself go so bad over the years and just quit caring. I have tried jumping into other programs, but wind up hurting myself more than helping because of injury, thus quitting all together. I love that you have so much variety, and something for every stage of fitness. I pick and choose everyday which one I feel I can tackle that day. The best part is they are fun, go by quickly and I can still get out of bed the next day without extreme pain. So Thank you!!!❤️
What a wonderful comment to read this evening. Thank you so much for taking the time to write it. I am super happy to know that you are enjoying the variety of workouts. Thank you, Deborah! I hope as you continue to exercise that you will care about yourself more and more each day. You deserve to be happy. ❤️
Thank you. I need this today before doing some stretching. It will be great for multiple reasons like a “something is better than nothing” day when you don’t want to do a workout, an easy workout after a sore body from the previous day’s workout, a warm up before strength training or vigorous chore like shoveling snow etc. Have a good weekend.
Although slower, this allows more focus on flexing muscles during moves. You empower us by giving us choices during the intervals to customize for our bodies. Ending motivational was very timely. Another sincere THANK YOU. 💕
Thank you Jules. I can usually do at least an hour, but the past several days I’ve been exhausted. Last night I didn’t even make it twenty minutes. Tonight I did about a twenty-eight minute and then this one. I really needed the slow, easy pace of this one. I’ve always kinda turned my nose up at these slow easy ones, and heaven forbid that I do a beginner one, because I was able to start out at the intermittent level. Well, be careful at what you turn your nose up!!! 😄 Or rather, don’t turn it up at all. Lesson learned.
It sounds like your body is saying you need a rest day. It’s sometimes good to take a day off and just enjoy a light walk like this workout when you are exhausted.
Thanks for this gentle, brief routine. There are times when I just don't want to do a more vigorous workout for various reasons, but still want to get some energy flowing and some steps in. This was perfect for that.
I'm recovering from brain surgery and radiation therapy. I've really struggled to find something that won't just wear me out. I've been doing this as a warm up to your new 25 days of strength. I've been using 2# weights. So far I can feel my muscles and some soreness after a workout, but nothing so bad that I can't work out the next day. Thank you!
I'm so glad this one worked well for you. I have a playlist of gentle workouts on my channel and I also categorize them on my website if that helps. There are lots of options for the gentle ones. www.improvedhealthforseniors.com I wish you a speedy and full recovery, Tammy.🫂
Thank you! I initially tried doing what I was doing before and I could barely move for a week! Thanks for the seniors link. I will definitely be using them. Hoping to find some balance videos.
@@tammynorton2949 I uploaded a new video today which is strength and balance exercises. I have other balance workouts as well which would be helpful to start with. I agree, after what you've gone through, it's important to start slow. Congratulations for starting back with exercise and working towards getting stronger again.
Thank you! I will definitely check those out! I really struggle with my balance. Thank you so much! I love working out and you are making it possible for me.
Short, sweet, satisfying...thank you , Jules...perfect for me at close of day, as I still haven't been able to resume my night walks after I lost my beloved Scamp. Have a fabulous day, 💙
A great short, light and easy workout for everyone. No excuses. Anyone can do these exercises. I for one will use this session as a morning starter, or as a warm up exercise for strength training, squats, balance and other exercises I try to do daily. Thank you, Jules for an excellent session.💛
Thanks for the feedback, Tammy. The bonus of a labor job is that you get lots of exercise in the day already without having to spend lots of time purposely working out.
We did this one tonight. I think we could’ve added our smallest weights and been okay, but we weren’t sure, with it being new. Thanks for giving us so many choices!!
Great warm up workout before strength training today. I really like that you have so many workouts to choose from. You can always find the right intensity and duration to suit your needs without repeating a single workout over and over.
Thank you so much for doing these. My husband is 76 and had a traumatic brain injury recently, he's got an artificial heart valve and a pacemaker and is diabetic. I'm 68, have copd and CKD and am on oxygen 24/7. We are so glad to find so many exercises that we can actually do! We enjoy you and your encouragement and watch you most nights. We really like when you count down the whole session and each individual exercise. I also like it when you have the metronome going too. Again, thank you so much! Marlene & Ben
Hi Marlene, thank you so much for taking the time to let me know that you and Ben are enjoying the workouts. I really appreciate that. I also appreciate the feedback on what you find helpful in the videos. In case you're not aware, I categorize all of my videos here in playlists and also on my website. I uploaded a new gentle workout today which I hope works for you both. You can find all of the videos categorized here: www.improvedhealthforseniors.com Thanks again!
I love this short, slower paced session. I have arthritis is my back and hips and sometimes the pain and stiffness isn't conducive to a vigorous workout. This is perfect. I actually did it 2x. Thank you so much!
I love knowing this worked for you...thank you for sharing that with me. I think there are a lot of people who need the more gentle workouts for various health reasons.
Thank you Jules. I feel I've achieved something after doing this workout. I always did an hour's exercise every morning until Covid hit me two months ago. I hope I can get back to where I was.
It can take a while to get the energy back but I think once you get started, the energy will come back quickly. My suggestion is to try a short workout in the morning to boost your energy and then see how you feel and whether you can do another short one. Then just go from there:) One day at a time.
This was the perfect video exercise for me today. I didn't sleep real well (usually do) and just don't feel like going to Silver Sneakers, but I also know that I have to move and this was the perfect length. And I love all the tricep exercises! Who knows, if I keep doing them I might be able to go to short sleeves one of these days! Thank you so much for your videos.
It's great to read that you made the choice to exercise despite being tired. I find the exercise always helps to energize us and makes us feel better. I truly hope you'll allow yourself to wear short sleeves soon...we only live once and your arms deserve to get sunshine:)
Thank you so much for this! On days my back is acting up a bit but I have to exercise because the last thing to do when your back aches is sit all day and do nothing...this is just great. Love your channel~Great work you do!
I am so glad to read that you understand how movement often helps with aches and pains. Thanks so much for your comment, Nicola (and for your kind words at the end).
A gentle walk indeed! However, given I have a weak right shoulder, some of the raised arm back-to-back moves were a big challenge, but I completed them even if a bit uncomfortable. It was worth it. Those new moves added a touch of freshness. I enjoyed hearing your voice again after doing a series of peek-a-boo preview windows and written next move prompts. Variety makes me happy!...Anastasia
Jules, I am so excited because I actually did a real workout! And I was able to do 99% of it without pain. The only thing I had to modify was punching to the side which twists my body so I just punched staight ahead. I feel soooooo good. Thank you!!!!
Happy New Year a bit belated Jules...joining you again and I really needed this workout and it just flew right by. Feeling a bit more energetic after this mini workout and I thank you. Have a nice day ⭐
L8ke this short session. Just what I need. After several yrs of not being able to exercise for various reasons this is a great gentle reintroduction. Don't like going to exercise classes (not very confident with my body size) and at 69 it's great to do this at home and at my own pace. Thankyou so much for your work and dedication. Lucy.xx
Another short walk at home video I love from you! I'm so happy for these short videos that I can do every day! Where did you get that beautiful backdrop? Thanks so much, Susan
Thanks Susan! I plan to create another one soon since it's been a little while since I've done a gentle or beginner walk. I purchase most of the backdrops on Amazon (you can find them under 'tapestries'). Thank you as well for your recent donation.🥰
Thanks - I have been housebound and frequently bed bound for the last 4 years. What is gentle for one person is a massive exhausting workout for others. I can currently do the first 5 minutes of those before being completely out of breath. I am hoping if i try every day that a month from now or maybe two i might be able to finish it it. 😀
I am so happy that you are here and have made the decision to start exercising. I truly want you to succeed. I have lots of seated workouts that would be really beneficial for you at this point. You could start with either the gentle or beginner seated workouts which will likely give you more benefits over the standing workout and you’ll be able to complete 15-30 minutes of them. This will help you to build strength so when you do the standing workouts you’ll be able to do more. If you go to my website at www.improvedhealthforseniors.com, you’ll see all of the workouts there. Let me know if that helps. You WILL get stronger and can succeed. One day at a time.

Great session for a lazy day! It is dark, wet and gloomy here in the UK with little incentive to go for a walk so this session hit the spot.
Thanks for letting me know that this worked well for today.
Wonderful workout today. Body feels better and stronger. I planked twice @ 45 seconds today.
Thanks Chris and congrats on the TWO planks!

This one for this evening.
Here we are, in a big rush again, so we’re just getting in what exercise we can as we can.
Congrats for getting in exercise even though you are super busy! That shows that exercise is a priority (woo hoo!!!).
@@ImprovedHealth , you are always so encouraging, and we sure do thank you for that!
