you inspired me to buy 3018, I don't regret it. I'm learning from you, planning to create one of your modifications on your machine. You make nice job please keep doing this. thank you greetings from Poland
Thank you for your support. I'm just a user of this machine myself. This machine has a lot of room for improvements. But for the price, it is worthy to learn milling and basics of CNC machine. I'm sure you will master it very soon.
I was thinking about doing it but you will have to upgrade the controller that is 4 axis capable like the one I used on my machine. It should be easy to make the 4th axis but the software side will be another problem. If you want 4 axis or more CAM software, you will actually have to pay. Right now, $500 per year for fusion 360 is a bit too much for me.
#saveYourLungs is a trendy motto those last weeks... Thank you for sharing all your attempts to build an efficient dust remover. (FR) salut Minh!
cool, the way it works is, it covers till the tip of bit, so like a curtain to have pressure. otherwise you will only such flying dust. not efficiently the one on work area
I appreciate your good advice and and your experience, i also want to ask u to make a video about the differences between linear slide rails the round on and flat one as well as the quality difference between the bearings .
To make a video about that will require me to actually have the rails and bearings. I'm using a 3018 CNC which means i'm on a budget :D. But I don't think you need a video to know which one is better. For me, flat rails like MGN15 or similar is always better than the round type. They are lighter, easier to install, the tolerance is good. They are expensive though.
Thanks for the advice, at first i had in mind to get same machine bath im following your advice and im trying to build my own under the same budget or a litle bit more , so thanks to u i know how useless this machine is as standard thanks again keep it up your videos are useful and helpful have nice day wherever you are.
Can i attach this to the stock motor mount or do I need to make your spindle mount? And do you have plans for the 775 mount i didnt see any on grab cad... great work.. im considering building you cnc as well!
You can use the step files then generate the Gcode the way I showed in the video using fusion 360. If you're not familiar with the process, you can watch my other video about step by step guide to use the 3018 cnc
I agree and I was quiet about the dust but figured you had it under control. This is why I don't like messing with wood and why I never wood turned as it is so messy (especially wood turning where there is no way to have a vacuum system as you are turning) and/or just not good for the lungs. My t-nuts arrived and one pack was mixed so I had to put in for a refund on it smh. Now I am unsure when my project will continue but it is already half built. I understand this virus is due back in the fall (possibly) so we will get a repeat. I hope not but by fall I hope all is well and I get my finances back in order post panic. My city begins a two week MANDATORY lockdown in 4h from now.
Sh**!!! I feel you. We have been staying home for more than a week. I only went out twice quickly to buy groceries. Luckily I still have enough material to do a few things (hopefully I have enough bolts and nuts). I can't wait for this virus thing to be over. Where do you live?
I live in Memphis, Tennessee which has a ton of traffic from all directions due to this being a major shipping point (drugs too, sadly). I went out last night to get a few things before the lock down begins today and so much is out of stock I will have to make do with the groceries I have. Frozen pizza, Burritos, can beans are all that I have as the veggies I never stock up on and they were out of those.
Don't even think about toilet papers and hand sanitizer!!! It's still a bit loose around here since we haven't had any confirmed case yet. It will come soon enough at this rate.
After all that the dust shoe is way too high it should surround the bit not hover above it like that, for what you have done there you could have just used a 3d printed nozzle mounted to the side of the spindle holder and connected to a vacuum. So this solution is creating way too much work and using way too much material so achieve mediocre results If you are using a dust shoe it needs to be height adjustable so that it can be properly set for the job in hand.

if I may want to suggest an idea for the next movie. housing for this machine an idea about it can be a good idea :)
@@minhsmancave9448 what you think abou Axis 4 on 3018 is worth it ? what are your future plans for the machine?

Keep it up, always a pleasure to watch 😎

What thickness of plywood is this
is there a parts list d=for nuts and bolts
To attach the dust shoe to the spindle, use m4 bolts 20mm length. To align the pieces, use M3 bolts and nuts
Can i attach this to the stock motor mount or do I need to make your spindle mount? And do you have plans for the 775 mount i didnt see any on grab cad... great work.. im considering building you cnc as well!
Yes, it's already in the GrabCad design that I shared. There're 2 design in there, one for the 775 motor
The spindle mount file i downloaded was for a 52mm and 55mm spindle.
There's a folder called original 775 motor, you should download files from that folder
I see the stlprt file but how to convert to gcode?
You can use the step files then generate the Gcode the way I showed in the video using fusion 360. If you're not familiar with the process, you can watch my other video about step by step guide to use the 3018 cnc
LOL, breathing is a good thing. :)
I should think of this one first before doing anything else. Got enough dust in my lungs already.

Or use a 3D printer. Easier and better.
Easier for sure
