You did well on that well over 500 pound bike. I did this ride on my Beta 500 RR-S and was glad I wasnt on my 1290 SAR like when I did the Mooseback. So much easier on a sub 300 pound bike. At 69 years old its tiring wrestling a big bike all day on tough trails.
@@baldandbiking you would like the Ride the Highlands loops. I have done the Pick Axe and Gravel Crusher on my Triumph Tiger. Doing the Timber Trail next week
I am the DCT owner in this vid. I had the following settings Power: 1 (highest), Engine Braking: 1 (lowest), Traction Control: 0 (off) and ABS: Off. I changed gears manually (not auto).
knutbar and myself both had AT DCTs for this run. I had my TC at 1. He was in front of me in this vid at 7:30 I often wonder what it would be like with the manual on this lol. Having to worry about slipping the clutch properly without stalling it and switching gears constantly under techical situations seems like more of a challenge than what I do, which is just focus on throttle control and handling the bike.
I love it! Keep going. Well, the only way you will perfect it is by taking a more challenging road!

Thanks Hans. One of the first things I wondered when meeting all the guys was "why is everyone's bike half the size of mine?" I soon found out.

@@Hans_P Wait till you see the next video, coming out in three days :)
I often wonder if I could wrap my head around using a bike with an automatic transmission on stuff like this.
