    We stopped at the Tetley tea room in 2022, we rode the Irish Loop in the opposite direction, we rode through quite a bit of deep gravel there as well, two up and packed for 3 weeks on the road. I ordered a Salada tea, the kid working there failed to see the humour or it happens so frequently that it’s annoying to him. I have watched a few of your videos and enjoying the ride.

    Algonquin Park is 2 - 3 times the size of Pukaskwa. If there are any bears around, your bike will scare them off - majority of bears don't want anything to do with humans. The German POWs, from Neys, went into the closest town and did odd jobs there too; some even married locals when the war ended. I've been to all of these places multiple times and nice to see your perspective.

    • @baldandbiking
      @baldandbiking หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thanks for responding! I just want to add that bears aren't quite as skittish these days as one would think. I passed a couple on the road in that area that were just sitting on the side of the road. Full grown black bears! My bike roared past them only about a dozen feet away and they barely acknowledged me lol.

    30:35 I realize this video is about a year old now - but I just stumbled across your channel. Interesting fact about the gravestone (and why the other guy is so close to him) is that's not the exact spot the Donnelly's lie. As you can see on the stone, people have chipped off pieces to take home as 'souvenirs'. The Donnelly's are in same cemetery, but being concerned about grave robbers, souvenir collectors, people seeking a 'revenge trophy', the stone is not placed above the actual bodies. Apparently. Another interesting fact is the family were very rough, and very disliked (probably stemming more from the Protestant vs Catholic issue) but they still did cause their fair share of issues. Rumour has it that while the Donnelly's had their trouble, not every crime/issue they were accused of, they committed. They were almost like a scapegoat of a family and they were the easy out because they were already so disliked. Not saying they were angels by any stretch, but crimes were pinned (apparently) on them that they had no role in. It's a crazy interesting story, and another small-town Ontario folklore. Also - cool little brewery nearby which shares their name. Completely worth a stop if you're ever back. Very nice little channel by the way - keep up the good work.

    Watched you demonstrate the flutter in the handle bars from your front tire .................... and from various experiences I have had - I suggest you should check your tire pressure more regularly........................the front tire seems more prone to losing air and thus cupping and warping than the rear - as the front tire is smaller than the rear and under more stress as well due to it doing so much of the steering and braking...................................by comparison the rear tire - which tends to be a larger and heavier tire - merely pushes the bike forward and does minor braking duty......................

    • @baldandbiking
      @baldandbiking 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I found out later that it is a common issue with Africa Twins to have handlebar wobble while traveling at 60-70 km/h. As soon as you go outside that speed the wobble goes away.

    • @abellseaman4114
      @abellseaman4114 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@baldandbiking Oh dear...........I am going to be a little bit dogmatic about this and present my modest experience of this issue............ as my old honda 500 - with wet weight of about 450 pounds - had that same flutter in the bars back when I was a younger guy and did not check the tire pressure so often........................ later on my honda 900 - with wet weight of about 840 pounds DID NOT ever develop that flutter - but of course as an older guy who owned both a tire pressure gauge and a good compressor - and was working for a company in desperate economic trouble - while also dealing with a divorce from a drunkard - I was MUCH MORE CAREFUL about checking tire pressure as I sought to wring every ounce of value and mileage from the fuel and tires!!!!!!!!!! Thus I maintain that regular tire pressure checks and air top ups can minimize that distressing flutter................
