Mario Kart 8 for Wii U is so memorable for me, I played it a lot, beat all the Grand Prix in all race classes, had 20K race points and 10k battle points online, and just had a fun time whenever I picked it up. A couple of favorite courses are cloudtop cruise, rainbow road, and electrodrome.
I remember playing with a random person in local multiplayer on Electrodrome. At the anti-gravity path split, the random got a Bob-omb while he was on one path and I was on the other. He somehow threw it _onto the other path_ and hit me with it.

The gameplay is cathartic for a lot of people and it uses aesthetic to the fullest extent. I enjoy it, but do find it too much of a grind at times.
