You guys are much more than mere mudlarkers. Environmentalists, volunteer using your own time, money and skills to help your community and city, I've seen compassion and caring about the most mundane thing such as a one eyed doll that begs to join the other Thames orphans, or the beat up metal ships lantern that filled with light once again. It is all so magical. And, it's all done with a smile.
What a wonderful experience. Looks like the two of you had a blast. Shout out to Duncan and Frank - what a great organization. Love all the finds especially the lead types. Nicola may have to share her pie recipes!
I love waving back at people! When I was a little girl and we visited Grandma’s farm on Sunday, after running around and climbing the apple trees, we would occasionally sit in the front yard under the big tree and wave at the rare car driving past. We loved it when they would wave back.
I know in theory that the Thames is a massive river, but when you show these sorts of vids, it really brings it home. It’s so cool to be able to share these outings with you all. Thanks! Especially since I’m unable to get out or do much per being my mom with Alzheimer’s primary caregiver. Your vids really help take my mind away for a refreshing bit, and my mom likes to watch them too! She especially likes Si’s accent!
Similar situation for me. I’m caregiving for my husband who has Ataxia. These videos are so interesting and fun to watch. I had no idea how large the river is! Our Chicago river is a tiny creek compared to the Thames! Thank you for such great content!
What a beautiful day on the Thames! Simon and Nicola together is always fantastic! Well done both of you learning how to drive the boat! And of course lovely finds! Cheers!
Thank you for letting us be a part of your fantastic finds!!! Love watching Si and Nic digging in the muck to find treasures together!!! As always the fantastic duo of luck in the muck, a most excellent team!!
What’s the secret pie ingredient 😄😄😂😂 lol!! Nicolas pendant is lovely, so much detail. Love the ointment pot. Lovely video Simon ... sorry I mean, Captain Simon.
Great to see you back with Nicola on the foreshore . So many interesting finds ! Really enjoyed the video as always but then again Sunday's wouldn't be Sunday's without you !!
I loved this episode. Wish we had someone here that could teach river boating on the North Saskatchewan River. I want badly to get out on the River but feel intimidated by it. It is a fickle river near Edmonton because the depth is subject to the mountains and the dam up River. I almost lost a pair of pants once that I had thought were far enough away from the waters edge but the water level had snuck up on them while I was busy rockhounrding😜😁. Even though the other finds were cool my favorite is the match striker. So good to see you and Nicola out hunting together again.
Should have known Nicola would know her way around a good pie and how to decorate them. They looked delicious. Picnic food is always good, especially the homemade stuff. Your finds were great. Had me sighing. I used to live a five min walk from Wandsworth Bridge. Ah, memories.
How fun to get some boating lessons! You never know when you might need such skill! Getting a couple lessons then you can rent a skiff to search the lesser searched foreshore! Loved today’s lark!
I live in Melbourne, Australia, the lockdown capital of the world. Thank you Si and Nicola for helping me get through some long, lonely days. Your knowledge and enthusiasm for artifacts found has been wonderful to watch. Thank you for taking me on your adventures through the mud and muck. Thumbs up also to the History Hunters and their hovercraft. Cheers to all.
So much fun when you both get together and mud lark great to take the boat over there and back with the MVS! What a beautiful bird Si and Nicola you found wonderful finds today
Great to see any volunteer folks helping out with navigating and boating! And wow -- the fastest way to travel in London, zipping down the Thames in a boat!!! :-)
Ohh please Si use the boats ; it can open up new mud larking foreshore territory : Take a free boat say every month take your pals plus the beautiful Nichola with her pies too - Thoroughly enjoyed this video and it’s quirky finds - But-the two guys explaining the boats charity was awesome - Well done 👍
KUDOS to the lads from the Maritime Voluteer Service. We have similar organizations in the States. Great training that keeps everyone on the water safer.
A new site, new adventure. That was a great helicopter shot.Nic got herself a pretty decorative ring. I love the match striker, lovely piece. The hanging hay is great thing, love to see old customs still alive. Great steering, Si ! Egyptian geese- tourists, 😂. Wonderful group , the MVS. Teaching children about river and helping people. This is 👍. I Enjoyed the video today.
Great finds!! What a great way to help people who are down and out. It was so nice to hear how the two gents helped that one man in rehab and how the man would’ve been at home in bed but instead, he was out on the water. That’s so great!!! While you were talking to the two gents I was noticing how fast the water was moving. Incredible!! Great video SI!!🌊🐬
I really enjoyed this video. It looked so much fun going over on the boat - and you both had a go at the helm!! How exciting. Some fabulous finds too. Love it when you and Nic go larking together :-)
Wonderful video Simon, and I didn't know you were a graphic designer that is so cool. Real nice thing those guys are doing for the community too.......Happy hunting
its so nice of frank and duncan (and the other of the mvs) to volunteer teaching their boat handling skills. i wonder how many tight spots they saved people from getting into with their expertise? it must be exciting getting to search new, hard to get to seldom if ever searched territory!
Hi Si , lovely to see you and Nic larking again together, that's a great service that the volunteers provide for the community. Btw I used to play with those gobs in the 60's , style was exactly the same . Take care xx
Si, your glass rod could be a glass cane for making beads, or doing lamp work. The Battersea Rail Bridge is beautiful. Great job Nick and Si on powering the motor. Lovely finds. Have a great rest of the week!
Si🧡thanks for highlighting the *MVS.* What an interesting organization; *truly impressed with thier mission.* Clearly, you & Nicola were rewarded for making this connection with your impressive array of finds!👍 Dudley 😊

I love when you do things together and with other friends. Seems so fun to laugh together.

Wonderful video Si, looks like you and Nicola had a grand time. Lovely finds and tasty lunch on the foreshore. Thank for taking us along.
If Nicola doesnt make her fortune with a mudlark find------ she could be a master pie Baker ---- not forgetting Si of course, great video.
