    2012 Nissan NV2500. Randomly left stranded one day, cranks but no start, vehicle stuck in immobilizer/anti theft mode. New battery, recall relay, ipdm function test, scanned with IP616 otofix and unable to complete further tests or diagnostics outside of U1000/U1000-00 and a BCM code.

    You have told me what I need to know when my 2013 Nissan Sentra goes to the dealership. I was lucky to have a mechanic friend who paid thousands of dollars to read Nissan codes. My little scanner just showed needs Mass air flow sensor but Nissan did too so I bought a Nissan MAF. Now I read the there is a bulletin out to have these checked on certain Nissans and mine is one. But Nissan won’t pay to repair because it’s not a recall. Can you tell me why they won’t or will they?

    This code popped up when the SLIP light came on. It came on after I changed the horn relay without first disconnecting the battery. They battery terminals were very corroded so I changed those and no luck. So... Slip light on, the 4x4 diagram that normally shows 2wd or 4wd isn't showing, just the SLIP light now. I checked brake fluid level and tires are inflated well ... Forums say to do that. No issues there and no issues on pads or wheel sensors. I can check the fuses like this video suggests but wondered if unhooking the negative terminal overnight might do the trick? Or something else? I am trying to separate this issue from the horn relay change which didn't fix the no horn issue but it's hard to disconnect the two as the latter happened right after switching it out. Thoughts or ideas?

    Checked all the wires no damage, no ground corrosion, still have the slip light and u1000 code

      Modules are probably old. Not the best construction.

    I have a 2019 Nissan Titan that is throwing this code. Here recently I’ve been having some electrical issues from my truck not starting, my bright lights not working, my interior lights going off and on, truck not turning off once before. Has me worried of serious issues

      could be a whole OBD network failure which makes modules hard to communicate with each other

    i have this code on 2012 nissan nv200 iv changed wiring harness ecu bcm and ignition same fault dash lights come on but it wont crank doesn't even click when i turn ignition im at a loss when i scan it says engine not present just get the u1000-00 u1000-01 codes

      Change the battery on your key fob

      I have tested the ignition immobilizer coil I'm not getting a reading off it withautel km100 I'm gonna read eeprom off old ECU and write it to new one hopefully it works

      @@legin3753did you get it fixed? My son has 2011 Rogue. We can’t turn ignition it says key not detected like it’s wrong key. Tried reprogramming they key and no luck. Locksmith showed that u1000 code

    All the modules talk to one main brain module. If there isn’t any short I’m willing to bet that’s the culprit. Since it sends multiple U1000 codes for different modules. No way all of them are malfunctioning.

    I have a 2013 Nissan Navara and only right side of my indicators are working i cant for the life of me find what it is, i snapped an electric wing mirror off and i guess the wire shorted when i did but the bulbs arent blown

      Probably a throttle position sensor. Spray it with some contact cleaner In it’s plug.

    Good stuff, thanks for sharing. I'm trying to figure this out myself if its an easy swap of a relay or even an ECM I don't mind doing it. Time are hard and I am on a fixed income :o/ Is an IPDM a simple swap?
    Im getting these issues, as well as Gauges Dropping, AC blowing hot air, Then transmission seems to not want to change and when it does it kicks like a horse. leading me to believe all these things happening at the same time could be a bad ECU relay or IPDM ?

    instrument Cluster- U1000 Can Communication Circuit
    Transmission Control- U1000 Can Comm Circuit, P1705 TP Sensor
    Anti-lock Brake- U1000, Can Comm Circuit
    ECM (Engine Control Module)- U1000, P1212, U1001
    AWD (All Wheel Drive) - U1000 Can Communication Circuit
