I got mine during lockdown. I was surprised by the quality. I upgraded to an FF250 last year. Other than the limited size, it was more than adequate for my use case.
Yep, it is better than nothing... The collet does not have a taper, my 3 mm mill cutter passes through the hole easily. And 3.2 (1/8") as well. Maybe there is no chamfer in the back side of the collet. I have made a "DRO" for the table, it is a bit better than turns count 🙂, see in my channel Thanks for the video.
No means to disappoint you, but the MF-70 is not made in Germany, not even in Austria (at least not anymore, regardless of Proxxon being from Austria), I think it's made somewhere in Eastern Europe these days - still better than China! only the higher-end models (e.g. FF500) are made in Germany, they are also about 2K EUR more expensive and have completely different capabilities. I still love the MF-70 I think for small brass and alu parts absolutely a bargain. Greetings from Germany
I’ve got a bunch of their tools and while they’re nice, they are very light weight. The quality of manufacture is ok, but not great. This looks cute, but what are you going to do with it other than those nipples? It uses a small series wound motor, the same as you find in a hand held drill. That’s why it’s so noisy.

Not gonna lie if I had one of those I would use it. I have a mainland clone of a RF-32 mill/drill. It's not made in Germany.

Hello to you and thanks for the info.

Proxxon made in germany? You must be joking. The even drill press is all aluminum shafts that brake after one year.
