Not only does it feel heavy, but it feels sluggish at times. But for the value I can't really complain, amazing beater

Have both and like the false live more. Yes it also a little heavy for my taste. The trainer version is a bit lass heavy but it has more handle bias that actually feels more intense because of the very end weighted handles and also makes it feel more sluggish. Still like especially the FL and don’t think it’s the worst that it feels different to my other Balis.

I have the trainer version, and pretty much have been flipping it daily as my dedicated beater. Overall, I personally think that the trainer is prodominately more handle biased, compared to the false live blade that carries more tip weight. The overall weight is still on the heavy-ish side in conjunction to its pointy brother here. But the enigma is that this balisong carries momentum incredibly well, yet it is able to consistently fan as well as a standard neutral weight balisong. While the false live blade is a bit wonky, I think the trainer is overall better at being close to a standard balance that people are eluding to. While weight is an overall preference, I kind of think starting on a heavier balisong is a bit better than if you were to go extremely light. If you were to transition to a dense metal like Titanium in the future, I feel this balisong will better prepare you for such a weight difference. Going from my Canyon trainer to a considerably lighter balisong like the Orion, or my Vulp, I feel like I literally have built up strength and weight tolerance to learn tricks a bit better overall. This is also not mentioning that this balisong has been truly beaten without leaving as much as a dent in it.
Considering you can get this thing for $40 on amazon, and also get the goated T10 bit, I still consider it to be an amazing balisong. Extremely durable, easily replaceable, and truly a trainer that truly loves up to its name as far as hand workout goes lol. I'd at least try out the trainer at some point and see if there's enough of a difference to more align to what you're looking for out of the false live version.

Very true! Would love to try the trainer out but I don’t really have money for it and I wanna save and buy more high end balis in the future. I prefer lighter balisongs because the heavier ones tend to hurt my wrists over time

I can agree when you say it has a weird balance but for 40$? Like come on there is a lot of room for error. Gotta give credit where its due. For beginners with a small budget its a must

I have the trainer, im pretty new to the hobby so the only 2 "good" balisongs i own is the nabalis canyon trainer and the vulp pro, used to flip only the canyon and it was amazing, but after switching to the vulp pro, flipping the canyon became really hard for me...
After a while flipping it i get lots of hand pain and pain in my fingers. But like everyone is saying, for 40$? With lube and locktite? and all the necessary for repairs? wow.

Ehh the balance is the reason i can do quad finger rolls. Cant do that on any other bali.

Idk, hollowed handles aren't my thing

Yeah but I worry if there was more in the handles it would be way too heavy and handle bias

Yeah don’t worry too much about it. It really won’t stunt your flipping in any way

I have the Trainer Version and I like a lot.
Is it perfekt? No. But really good.
I switch a lot my balisongs from light to heavy and the Canyon is in this Rotation.
It is really unique, heavy but really slim and a really good beater.
