I watched this video about 2 months ago and I purchased it. I have been using it for my TH-cam videos the past 2 months and the only problem that I have noticed is the EIS. I film skiing with it and I definetly notice it shaking sometimes. That might lead to me buying a GoPro but it is definitely great for the price. Thanks for the review
the walking footage looked really good. the stuff at speed on the cars seperated in quality more. but if your walking and vlogging this thing is great in comparison

Looking at your video using the EK 7000, the main feature that is missing is the EIS (electronic image stabilization) which is noticeable when you were walking and with your RC. I believe that this camera will work great on a tripod (stationary) or just limiting my arm movement while recording. I would have to use my wrist like a gimbal. I will gladly work with this camera for a while and then move up to the Bravo. Also, I just subscribed and I’m looking forward to your next video on the AKASO brand of cameras.

I've just bought an AKASO EK7000 and I'm looking at uploading my ride footage to TH-cam. I use DaVinci Resolve for editing. What settings should I render at to get the best possible quality when uploading to TH-cam?

@@soihavetoplay I wouldn't do that without some level of image stableization. Also... don't sell the 4K short. Even if you can't get maximum use out of it in gives you a little insurance that your video won't look like crap 3, 5, 10 years from now.

Thanks for the kind comments. Uhm... I don't know on either! I would think external power wouldn't be an issue but I don't know about the mic and I certainly don't think you could use external power and external mic at the same time. You can always ask them if you really want to know.
Thank you for this video. I made a couple videos on the AKASO and it’s so true, there is absolutely no stabilization at all 😂 I like it though because it feel *vintage* and the price was great lol. But I think I will have to mount it onto my helmet and see if that makes any difference… any other suggestions to improve the stability when mounted onto handlebars? Thank you!

Just discovered the Akaso, but there are a number of options, im not sure what is supoosed to be comprable to the GoPro; just different cameras at different prices, not sure where to begin
I'm a big fan of this Akaso but it is in no way comparable to a current GoPro. the only thing that comes close is the DJI action camera. These Akaso cameras are amazing for what they cost but they are not comparable to modern GoPros. What are you looking to do with it?

@DOUG and NIKI At the moment, everything. The new Insta 360 looks amazing, but too expensive. I'm still exploring budget options. But image stabilization and at least passable audio are the two most important elements for my needs.
If this is your budget range then yes I'd recommend it. If have the ability to get to a GoPro or DJI, those are significantly better but they do cost significantly more. I hope that helps.
It's hard to choose. I think the Brave 4 image quality was a little better but your limited to a slower frame rate so for an action camera I'd lean towards the EK7000 as that frame rate is king for that. If you are not moving around a lot, the Brave 4 is better. Does that help?

When the title just says GoPro and not GoPro Hero 10 comparison I'm thinking that I'm going to be watching the comparison of a GoPro to the Akaso EK7000. To me this is not even a serious comparison.
I think the Akaso buyer isn't really a GoPro buyer but they want to know... how different is it actually. I think this video answers that question. Unless..do you think... someone is thinking should I buy this Akaso or should I buy a GoPro? The pricing is so far off that doesn't make any sense to me but maybe I'm wrong. Let me know.

Just a regular GoPro isn't as expensive to buy and would be a better comparison between the two at the price point.
Just as an FYI for you... I've thoroghly tested the "basic" waterproof using it mounted on my RC Cars bashing through puddles and mud etc. It was very waterpoof that way. I don't dive so I can't test it at depth. I hope that helps.
its not a bad camera except you forgot to mention 2 faults: it only has about 1 and 1/2 hours of video time on each battery. Also, and this is really aggravating , every time you switch batteries you have to re-enter the time and date stamp. what, they couldn't put non-volatile memory on this thing ??
LOL...the time date thing is funny. I'm ont sure about the only an hour and a half run time on a battery as an issue. I'm not sure what camera you are using that gets more than that.
Oh sorry, I mentioned the Akaso, However Gopro has a heat issue causing the Camera to shut down. I don't like both of them (still use my Sony fdr x3000 !!) 😁

Very crappy camera. Advertised as a time lapse camera and has no time lapse video function. Only shoots in wide angle which makes it look like a fish eye lense. Don't buy this. It sucks!!!

@@DOUGandNIKI You are correct. I am looking for a camera that can shoot time lapse day and night so it's useless to me. It does however make decent videos at a very inexpensive cost. I dislike the wide angle only video though just as a personal taste. I guess the pro version and brave have touch screen but this model doesn't so the description is very deceptive.
@@rottenheavenly6245 hmm... maybe. Most of the things I use this for I don't use the audio. Action shots on the car, the rc, under water. So for some uses the audio really isn't a big decision maker.

Agreed. It's not as much of an "action" camera in the end. Super durable and great for underwater but not so great at spead.

Akaso video just seems overexposed, so some minor adjustments in the settings may make a huge difference.

It's the right camera for a very low budget. If you could afford a GoPro, they are better but if not, this is a great option.

I have this camera and the stabilization is pretty bad , i mountain bike and it’s pretty shaky but for the price you can’t go wrong.

hmmm... don't toally agree with that but as your only camera and a go to camera it's an issue.
I think the poor sound quality and the bad image stabilization will keep me away from that Akosa, unfortunately.

Yeah, it can be mounted to any device with a 1/4" camera mount screw, such as helmet accessories, etc.
But Akaso is an underwater camera

@@fyrehawkSix I don't disagree with you that it has weaknesses but it is so super cheap, kind of seems in balance with the cost. What are you going to be using it for?
@@DOUGandNIKI You are correct. I am looking for a camera that can shoot time lapse day and night so it's useless to me. It does however make decent videos at a very inexpensive cost. I dislike the wide angle only video though just as a personal taste. I guess the pro version and brave have touch screen but this model doesn't so the description is very deceptive.

@@rottenheavenly6245 hmm... maybe. Most of the things I use this for I don't use the audio. Action shots on the car, the rc, under water. So for some uses the audio really isn't a big decision maker.
