Wife Speaking..., I think "The Jack" is actually "the clap " or Gonorrhea...I do absolutely love this crowd favorite..And I really love the hard bluesy guitar sounds of this song..Looove It!!...But, don't ever want the dang "Jack" It took me awhile to realize this was about "the clap" as well..Yeah Ty , 19:28 I agree quiet disgusting !
They played with words. I always thought it was she just had a good card. I think I just want to keep thinking that for me it’s a better song that way otherwise ickk. Yes good bluesy song though
I didnt know what the song was about ( I was 10 in 76) until I heard the live version a couple of years later on the If You Want Blood album. I mean, Bon gets the point and makes it very clear.
This song is about a VD - "The Jack" is Australian slang for Gonorrhea, aka "The Clap." Saw them live twice, one of the greatest live shows I’ve ever seen. Bon Scott had a great sound, Brian Johnson stepped into a tough spot and the rest is history. This is a band that doesn’t have a bad song.
Bon was the guy that brought a lot of balls and sass to the band. Current DC is good, but Bon was the best. Oh, he's got big balls, and she's got big balls, but we've got the best balls of them all. Nothing like him.
One of the greatest songs they ever did was with Bon Scott, and it's called "Ride On". Something totally different than what you would expect from AC/DC. One of the best blues songs ever(even better than this one) that somehow got buried amongst their other hits. You guys should give it a listen, and you won't be disappointed.
Oz rock can be a little out there at times. You may like to experience the live version of the Angels song Am I Ever Going to See Your Face Again. The audience participation is "interesting".
george young asked Bon to write these lyrics because the live version wouldn't have passed the censors back in the day. that was when George new Bon was a great song writer.
aahhh, the clean version. seldom heard, seldom appreciated, but yet still just as revelant as the dirtier version i loved as a youngster. legends they are!
Can you believe Angus Young was not yet 20 when this album was first released, in Australia! He plays like a seasoned, salty bluesman. I love the bluesy feel and of course Angus' guitar virtuosity. Tongue in cheek lyrics and tongue in somewhere else too no doubt. I can't believe you have only officially reacted to 2 of their tunes. You guys have so much great music to experience from the boys. You must have heard of several, maybe many of their songs, but even if just one of you hasn't please take on their numerous classics from Highway To Hell and Back In Black.
Growing up at kegged party's we always played this song last, and everybody would bust out their best stripper move, but you gotta hear the live version with the second singer to really get the vibe, whole different feel
The band told the story where they were staying in a house and they had several women in the house with them. They were playing in a club and Bon ran around the club running up to each of the women and did the She's Got The Jack for each woman who "gave him a good time."
PLEASE - React to "Big Balls" while you're doing Bon Scott songs!!!! That will be hilarious, I'm assuming at least Ryan has never heard it! 😂 🎶🎸🥁🎹🎷🎻🎧🎺🎵
This is "the stripper song"... I don't partake in them any more, but in my youth you were guaranteed to hear this song at least once every time you went to the club.
Never heard that song. Can honestly say if it wasn't for his voice - wouldn't have known it was them. Just very interesting... For sure a deep cut. Probably not playlist, but was open-minded.
This song is suitable for a night bar, you go in, and "Jack" 😂😂😂 is already waiting for you, I'm sure it was like that in the 70s, this song was played all over America, Australia, Britain
" big balls" is the one to do, but you MUST do a lyric video, otherwise you won't understand how clever the lyrics are, because of his strong Aussie accent
Well if you're starting with just Bon Scott, then may I suggest a few songs. Highway to hell, if you want blood, it's a long way to the top, big balls, walk all over you, touch too much, ride on, girls got rythem. 😅
I think in the Bon Scott years they upped their game every album and just got better as time went on until it finally caught up with Bon. Their best album up to that point was Highway to Hell that was filled with bangers from first to last. I think they upped their game considerably with the addition of Brian Johnson, but Highway to Hell is still one of their iconic albums and always will be. This song is okay, but I think AC DC came into their own with their final Bon Scott release.
There are two songs I can think of that didn't impress me too much when I heard them on the album: this one and Van Halen's Ice Cream Man. I mean I liked them ok, but not my favorites. In both cases when I saw them performed live they both became almost my favorites from these two bands. Sometimes the live performances just blow you away!
Bon Scott rules...I prefer the Bon Scott era...we wore out the live If You Want Blood back in high school...77 to 81. Bon is just a better singer, no disrespect intended to Brian Johnson.
I would never listen to this song. I took the lyrics to mean that since he is the king and she is the queen and she’s holding the boss card which is the jack. That means she is the boss. Funny how we all have different interpretations of the meaning of the lyrics until we read what was in the songwriters mind when he/she wrote it. I enjoy and look forward to your reactions. Brightest blessings! ✌️❤️
Oh, hahahahaaaaaa! Ya gotta listen the live version from the album If You Want Blood (You've Got It) Classic! Hey Nick [whoops, I got yer name wrong, sorry[Phil]], if you like 'sleazy' have a listen to and watch, the Chris Isaak & The Silvertones, from the album with the same title "Blue Hotel", or simply listen in the dark, and fantasize!
When I won tickets to. Go see ac dc live at cb gb and got to back stage and take a picture back stage and they have recorded
Wife Speaking..., I think "The Jack" is actually "the clap " or Gonorrhea...I do absolutely love this crowd favorite..And I really love the hard bluesy guitar sounds of this song..Looove It!!...But, don't ever want the dang "Jack" It took me awhile to realize this was about "the clap" as well..Yeah Ty , 19:28 I agree quiet disgusting !
lol😊
Yes that's one of the names Aussies say for the clap lol😂😂😂
Notice in the song.., Bon Scott Ad Libs.."And it hurts"..OMG!!!
They played with words. I always thought it was she just had a good card. I think I just want to keep thinking that for me it’s a better song that way otherwise ickk. Yes good bluesy song though
I didnt know what the song was about ( I was 10 in 76)
until I heard the live version a couple of years later on the If You Want Blood album. I mean, Bon gets the point and makes it very clear.
"And who knows what else" 😮😂
Nobody but nobody could sing this song like the late great Bon Scott ✌️
Jesse James Depree.
No doubt !!!
This song is about a VD - "The Jack" is Australian slang for Gonorrhea, aka "The Clap."
Saw them live twice, one of the greatest live shows I’ve ever seen. Bon Scott had a great sound, Brian Johnson stepped into a tough spot and the rest is history. This is a band that doesn’t have a bad song.
Another song that kind of stands apart from their other songs is "Touch To Much" from the final release with Bon Scott.
I saw Ac/Dc back when Bon was the lead singer, brilliant, his voice was unique. Love ur reaction.
If you want another blues song, "The Night Prowler" is real blues. It is a fav of mine, for whatever that is worth.
Night Prowler and Ride On, are my down and dirty blues favorites.
One of my many favorites was just listening to it in my head 5 minutes ago
Their most bluesy song is Ride On....
Don't forget "Gone Shooting"
Anyone that's been to the Philippines during the Vietnam war had a corpsman buddy that took care of such things.
Bon was the guy that brought a lot of balls and sass to the band. Current DC is good, but Bon was the best. Oh, he's got big balls, and she's got big balls, but we've got the best balls of them all. Nothing like him.

First album l ever bought.
Bon is laid to rest just down the road from my place. Cheers
'The Jack' is Australian slang for the Clap! So Jack = Clap = Chlamydia. 🤣
It's gonorrhrea
YES!!Yes yes yes yes!! This is my fave and my go to karaoke song. lmao You gotta see this live at River Plate.
Recommend next you check out "Touch too Much." Also, "Have a Drink on Me!"
Oz rock can be a little out there at times. You may like to experience the live version of the Angels song Am I Ever Going to See Your Face Again. The audience participation is "interesting".
At their bluesy-est. 🤘🏽The double entendre is open to interpretation. 😂😉😎
Wow. Where are the likes? I am not even an ACDC fan and this is the first time I ever heard this, but I thoroughly enjoyed it. Liked it, literally.
george young asked Bon to write these lyrics because the live version wouldn't have passed the censors back in the day. that was when George new Bon was a great song writer.
I've always viewed AC/DC as a heavy blues band. Great stuff!
Yeah maybe with bon Scott but when Brian Johnson came they were definitely not bluesy. Turn to harder rock
aahhh, the clean version. seldom heard, seldom appreciated, but yet still just as revelant as the dirtier version i loved as a youngster. legends they are!
The jack = the clap. Literally. Haha
Can you believe Angus Young was not yet 20 when this album was first released, in Australia! He plays like a seasoned, salty bluesman. I love the bluesy feel and of course Angus' guitar virtuosity. Tongue in cheek lyrics and tongue in somewhere else too no doubt.

The Jack='s The Clap
Scream at the end is when he was trying to pee
Straight forward lyrics? Just like big balls the innuendos are amazing during this era
Powerage In my humble opinion their best album. You can go anywhere on that l p and find a winner.
My first concert in 76 or 77. They opened for KISS at Freedom Hall in Louisville. Bon Scott was really good but Angus was great.
You should have done thier " Live" Version off of "If You Want Blood, You Got It"
Exactly!!!
this is just pure nasty dirty rock and roll with zero fuxks given and I LoVe IT LOUd!
Deep Purple did a few like that, out of their normal repertoire, like "Anyone's Daughter" and "Livin' Wreck"
Growing up at kegged party's we always played this song last, and everybody would bust out their best stripper move, but you gotta hear the live version with the second singer to really get the vibe, whole different feel
You guys need to hear the live version from the If You Want Blood (You Got It) album. May not be appropriate for the channel but it's a must hear.
That's one of the best live albums..ever
The band told the story where they were staying in a house and they had several women in the house with them. They were playing in a club and Bon ran around the club running up to each of the women and did the She's Got The Jack for each woman who "gave him a good time."
PLEASE -
React to "Big Balls" while you're doing Bon Scott songs!!!!
That will be hilarious, I'm assuming at least Ryan has never heard it! 😂
🎶🎸🥁🎹🎷🎻🎧🎺🎵
You guys should do AC/DC's "Big Balls".
Their song Night Prowler is what I'd call "creepy/blues".
One of my favorites from the great Powerage record, Gone Shootin.
You need to listen to Crabsody in Blue, Big Balls and if you want pure AC/DC blues listen to “Ride On”
Try thier Track " Ride ON" Next, From thier Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap"
You need to listen to the live version, completely different lyrics lol
BON SCOTT IS ROCK N ROLLS PIRATE
This song is suitable for a night bar, you go in, and "Jack" 😂😂😂 is already waiting for you, I'm sure it was like that in the 70s, this song was played all over America, Australia, Britain
eric clapton chore
Thank you my friends for staying in the Bon Scott era I can suggest more but there's too many.... It doesn't matter what you pick
Frickin' Bon Scott... the one and only
" big balls" is the one to do, but you MUST do a lyric video, otherwise you won't understand how clever the lyrics are, because of his strong Aussie accent
Well if you're starting with just Bon Scott, then may I suggest a few songs. Highway to hell, if you want blood, it's a long way to the top, big balls, walk all over you, touch too much, ride on, girls got rythem. 😅
Without Brian Johnson we don’t have Back in Black but without Bon we don’t have The Jack.
the jack.. slang for VD
Have a listen to the Bon Scott era AC/DC song 'Big Balls!!!'
Probably crabs and crayfish and seafood cocktail as well
Live Wire off the same album. Touch Too Much and night Prowler. You are welcome! 🤟😁🇺🇸
A great track, but amazing live
Jack the Clap
The REAL lyrics are sung live. This was made for radio. Listen to the live at Riverplate, just great.
Surely you mean listen to If You Want Blood album version or any other Bon Scott live version. Honestly River Plate is atrocious.
@@snowblindoz yeah, that too. I'd prefer Bon but Brian's is great too.
This song is about the clap she’s got the clap!
Whole lotta Rosie 🖤
I'm such a prude but I dearly love dirty blues like this, lol.
This is great but much better on the album.
Title track " High Voltage"
This is the tame version of the song...the REAL version is what they usually play live.
Crabsody in Blue - even less subtle
Oh yeah. Like most Ac Dc but prefer this era, not so polished. More raw, Australian pub style.
Wife Speaking..Agree, This was before Mutt Lange became their manager
@ericsmith6615 one of my all time favorite bands, City Boy, was where I first heard what Mutt Lange does.
This song was much dirtier when they played it live. Bon Scott added more verses to it!
Would like reactions to Midnight Oil . Not just Beds are Burning but live. Truganini , Stand in Line , Dead Heart , Blue Sky Mine. etc, thanks
PLEASE REACT..phil collins - sussudio 👍👍👍👍
Every AC/DC song is a bar song🤣🤣
There are two songs I can think of that didn't impress me too much when I heard them on the album: this one and Van Halen's Ice Cream Man. I mean I liked them ok, but not my favorites. In both cases when I saw them performed live they both became almost my favorites from these two bands. Sometimes the live performances just blow you away!
My favorite song by them is TNT
Great job guys. Some suggestions: Take A Picture by Filter, I Got You by Split Enz, Day After Day by Badfinger
You guys need to be Thunderstruck. The video!
You should listen to 'ride on' also is very bluesy...
They do a much different version of this song live………The Jack = gonorreha
It wasn’t hard for me to figure out what he’s talking about.😂
Yeah, stuff that we like .
As far as I know this song was never ever played on the radio
Listen to the live version from If You Want Blood. That version does not hide what they are meaning
Bon Scott rules...I prefer the Bon Scott era...we wore out the live If You Want Blood back in high school...77 to 81. Bon is just a better singer, no disrespect intended to Brian Johnson.
A nice song about a poker game.
Hey guys, what about Bon doing Big Balls? Another laugh
No disrespect to Brian Johnson, but Bon Scott is AC/DC.
It's a cool song, but the version on their live album just blows this away.
Fun fact: Angus has never done drugs or drank alcohol
Well gentlemen it’s not about Jack Daniels It’s about something a little more personal. Hahaha
Guys how have you not reacted to Oliver Anthony Rich Men North of Richmond???
Perfect stripper song!!!! LOL
True story just like Whole lotta Rosa
Bon Scott had the filthiest voice in Rock and Roll.
Bon just sang with more charm. Rain has more range, but Bon’s lyrics were better (much funnier), and he was more of a storyteller.
That should’ve been “Brian has more range”, but autocorrect decided “Brian” Was “Rain” 🤷🏻♂️🙄
You should do.. BIG BALLS
Great song!!! Not that pleasant of a thing to sing about 😂😂 but very bluesy!!!!
They had a bunch of blues songs with bon
Umm, Sin City!
BON SCOTT!! Brian Johnson dont come close.
the live version is much better. whole different song
Actually, "Ride On" is not so different from this song.
