Well our country is bigger than Europe as a whole so traveling between states for us is just as significant as traveling between European countries. The states even have extremely different cultures. I'm from Louisiana and I live in New Mexico now. I've also been to Mexico and I can tell you Louisiana and New Mexico are more different than Mexico and New Mexico. So yea you can travel within America. The distance from my house now to where I grew up is further than the distance from Florida to the Dominican Republic.

England, Ireland, Scotland, and Wales all put together are smaller than New Mexico, the state I live in, which is only the fifth largest state. Don't even get me started on Texas. Texas is bigger than France. The only reason traveling between states is faster is because we have the best cross-country road system in the world. European roads are trash.
