My VA primary care sent me to their "TBI doctor" here in 2023 and she told me that mild TBIs resolve themselves in a year or two and blew me off. How is that not malpractice? I've been suffering since my wreck on the way to the Pentagon in March 1987 when my car was hit by a semi and ended up flipping front over back and rolling a couple of times. I'm so furious.

Wow the VA needs to step up there game! I've heard so many horror stories about the VA not helping and making people wait years for things.

Great information for T.B.I. survivors. Perhaps this is why so many off us have explosive tempers also.

yep you destroy the essential functions of Hypothalamus Pituitary Gonadal-Ovary Axis. Which sends ILA6, TNFA, and other Inflammatory Signals Destorys the brain. Then destroys the hormones. Any doctor not using Hormones and calling themselves a brain doctor is a joke.
Acute intervention - Ketamine and Progesterone with Fish Oil, and Vitamin D, Vitamin C IVs, with Thymosin Alpha 1. And Oral Oxandrin for recovery.
Then post TBI treatment, Evaluate all the Hormones, Replace what isnt optimal not in range, not optimal. Replace it all. Get stable then you work on other issues. Gotta have balance first.
Note: Do not let some "doctor" put you on Benzos. It will put you in Psychosis. These ER docs dont even know this. So be careful find an expert.

Hormones are all over the place and never understood this as a male. This explains the unexplained reason of why my levels are too high or too low and finally understanding there’s a reason.

So what are the hormone tests that are recommended

  • @esahm373

Hormonal dysfunction is one issue, but I believe that the physical disruption of some of the neural connections explains most symptoms.

I'm still struggling with one mild and one moderate TBI that both occurred a half century ago...

How do I find a specialist that knows this? I’m a 51 yr old woman only learning about this from you, for the first time…. TBI and dx persistent post concussive syndrome from 2006 car accident. No specialist has mentioned hormones which is super important especially in perimenopause. My symptoms are debilitating.

This is very informative, I’m curious what specific tests Dr. Kirschling would recommend. I’ve always felt out of balance and perhaps my hormones were out of wack. I’ve had some tests but not all I believe. I’m male. Thank you

Doctors don’t believe you when you tell them you’ve had a concussion

They ignore you and tell you you are fine. Your MRI is fine-

    • @armandoacevedo6978
      @armandoacevedo6978 ปีที่แล้ว +1

Because the MRI only shows gross structural damage, not hormonal changes

My question is where to go to get help ? Do we have a clinic in South Florida? I am so tired to feel sick every day. 2010 was my accident I was not even treated for it

Would having a tooth pulled and an implant put in be considered a head injury? My body started falling apart after that. I want from being a top competive runner for 20 years to being extremely uncomfortably when i workout and now have rosacea.

Back in 2013, WCB in AB said it only lasted a year, too. So I have had to say the issues I'm having are residual, 10 years later.. It's been a career ending for me. Still working with recall and retention. Any suggestions?

also is Progresterone important and safe for Men?

My hormones did the opposite. A crazy high amount of progesterone and very little estrogen.

I've been woke since 2016 and now that I'm back to life again everything changed. My hair on my head has really taken-off. I'm here because my nipple gets sensitive for no reason. It's annoying because it hurts
