Almost first tried her... I just needed one more shot of anything to fill her stagger one last time, but all of my weapons were on reload/ cooldown and I ran out of EN on a coral generator lol. She turned into a meteor and killed me. It was a very lucky try, since I didn't know her moves and was going off instinct
Bro, I beat the boss that I had been working on for hours. Once I copied your set-up, I got it down within 20 mins. Thank you, I'm glad you posted this guide. You rock, my dude
I know we're late to the party, but I wanted to say thanks for the video guide! It was the only thing that helped us finish our attempt at IBIS on stream. I tossed a shoutout your way in the description of our YT video where we used your AC build! CHEERS!
Honestly, I was struggling for a bit, and then I switched to a double trigger build, and immediately blitzed through it's health bar in like a minute. I was amazed by how much of a difference it made just by changing playstyle. Then, as I was basking in this shock and pride at myself, I found out it had another health bar.
I failed so many times with different builds people recommended on TH-cam, but all weren't working. Tried this & got it done in a few tries. Thank you so much 😭💘
Bro I've been trying to beat this boss across various suggested builds and strats. And THIS ONE was the one. Thank you! And thank you for taking the time to actually EXPLAIN what you did and the move set. Super helpful!
I made it this far in the game forcing myself not to look at guides but after the 60 or so times on IBIS with my builds I tried this and did it on 2nd try lol. I came really close with my light builds but couldn't finish it out with them. This build worked amazing
I was having a hard time hitting my second bazooka shot after staggering her. The first bazooka would hit and she would flinch to the side making the second fly by. So I switched my left hand to the hand held rocket launcher and that worked really well for me. Got it first try after that. Thanks for the video!
Tried this build out and is really good! I just used the weapons and it was pretty easy! One thing... If you fire the shoulder guns right at the beggining of the fight you get a free chance for damage right away.
Your build and strategy helped me a great deal. Took me about 8 tries, but in the end I opted to use the "Wheelchair" track legs. I needed something faster. Thank you!
I just want to thank you my brother for sharing this path to victory. Definitely the best setup for this. The only change I made was did the fast treads so I could naturally strafe to avoid all missile attacks. The key is to get close using a close range FCS. The AC will still turn and shoot even when the boss flys by. You’ll see the hits on its health marker. It felt glorious seeing the damage and hearing the impacts.
I did a variation of this build but use the light tank for legs instead of the bipedal. Literally beat the boss on the first try after being stuck on him for hours. I dont normally like a video, but your video deserve 1000x likes. Fucking rocks dude. Super easy to beat the boss with this build!!
I wish I could give you more than one like. I was struggling with this boss using my lightweight energy build for a while until I came across your video. Surprisingly I was able to beat her on my second try with 2 health packs left. I am definitely keeping this build in my back pocket.
8:39 with this move, the 'cage' it closes on you has larger gaps that, if you can react fast enough, you can fly up and through them when the lazers close in
Thank you man, I've beaten Ibis in a couple of minutes with your build, whereas I was being trashed helplessy with other builds. I basically mirrored your video during the fight, a lot of hints and advices! Thank you so much!
Awesome guide bro. Unfortunately i found this guide AFTER A WEEK of struggling to find my own way of beating her, which took a gatling gun +machine gun combo with homing missles via close range with a mid-build, but this is great insight. One thing; whenever she uses that "coral phoenix" attack (giant bird laser dash is what i call it lol) in her 2nd phase...just make sure to boost into the air to dodge. She only runs that attack on the ground. Thanks again for the content 🙌🏾
I'll be honest, first time fighting the boss with my own build (energy focus build) I got to the second phase, low hp tought I had won and then the cutscene played and I got instantly demolished... spent all morning trying to beat "Mech Malenia" and failed, stumbled across your video and I got her in under a minute... thanks man you saved my morning, finally I can get on with the story!

I'd recommend moving the 9 spare points to energy weapons instead of hacking, since it affects the las cannons. Otherwise the build is pretty perfect. Other than that something I've been trying is using other heads, generators and aiming cards (I'm spanish so our name for those is SCD and I can't remember the english name) but so far it only seems to either get worse or be the same, since most of what I want for the fight makes me energy defficient.
Wormgun and bazookas was a big win. Never thought to use either. I also used the wheelchair wheels. I beat this fucker in less than 1 min 1st try. Thank you!
I have another very interesting build that I think is even stronger. Right hand- Zimmermann/Lucky 16 shotgun Left hand- Lazer lance Right shoulder- stun needle Left shoulder- Pile bunker So basically it's a double melee build. The strategy being- you dodge the first attack, then hit it with a charged lance, then shotgun and she gets stunned. Then of course a pile bunker, and then stun needle. Half of the hp is gone. Repeat one more time to finish phase 1. In phase 2 however it's a bit more difficult but you still only have to perform this procedure 2 times to defeat the boss.
