My first response is to hope for my family to rescue me. I have taken care of myself since too young for 40-50 years. Now I see what a horror show of control that would have been. I still have that collapse wish though. Is that natural or should I collapse into me or God? Why am I wishing for rescue?

It's natural to yearn for familial support, especially after taking care of yourself for so long. Recognizing the potential pitfalls of reliance on others for rescue is a significant step forward. Exploring self-compassion and spiritual grounding could offer solace in moments of collapse, guiding you towards inner strength and resilience. Understanding the roots of your desire for rescue can illuminate areas for personal growth and healing.
