No the marinade is not affecting the cooking time. The cooking time is dependent on the size of the meat, temperature on the bbq and the temperature of the meat when starting to bbq.
Brother its well known where Shishlik came from the Caucuses region where they famous to make the best skewered meat on the grill. Turks make good Kebabs I admit. Sislik was adopted by the ottomans from Shushlik.

Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, Turkey, Northern Cyprus, Kirgizistan all Turks. Turkish kebab is known all around the world. Georgia, Armenia, Russia, Ukraine all these countries are highly influenced by Turkish cuisine. Naming Turkish lamb sis as Georgian is like naming Chinese noodles african...have some dignity and shame.
