I got angry when I saw the title, but I calmed down when I started watching the video. I absolutely love the interior of this RR, and dare I say it looks better than your older RR Vogue's interior. Congratulations Matt, and cheers to 20k hassle free miles in the pinnacle of luxury 4x4.

You hit the nail on the head when you called that interior "opulent" . Yes... black interiors are ok but cream/white interiors feel so classy to sit in and since watching your videos I am growing to love the full size Range Rover more than the Sport models.

I know exactly what you mean. I sold my Boxster for more than I paid for it, then immediately went out and bought something I could never afford to run in the UK, a V8. A Ford Falcon XR8 to be precise. It's more Australian than Mick Dundee drinking Castlemaine XXXX on Sydney harbour bridge whilst chucking a shrimp on the barbie. It's not that fast, so big that it has its own postcode, and it drinks like Oliver Reed on a pissup. But it has masses of personality, and to me that is A Very Good Thing.

"You end up thinking to yourself 'What am I doing driving this ?"" : I bought a 7 year old, 1987 1.1 Ford Fiesta Popular as a first car with the air of keeping it for a year to get used to driving, and then getting something nice. But I got so used to it, I drove it for 6 years (no laughing !), and only changed it as my sister was selling her car, and it was too good a deal to pass up ( I "upgraded" to a 12 year old Volvo 343 ha ha ).

My passion is buying and selling cars and I love the whole process of finding a vehicle, checking it out and seeing if I can derive a fair profit from selling the vehicle while also enjoying the short ownership of the vehicle. I know exactly how you feel about driving a JLR product. I like you took advantage of the hike in second hand valuations and recently traded my Discovery Sport for £2.5k less than I purchased it for 2 years and 30k miles ago. Our 2018 Jaguar E Pace arrives tomorrow, thankfully no time without a JLR product on the driveway. Not the brightest decision in light of price paid but still worth it. That paint is amazing. I nearly purchased an Evoque in that colour and when the sun caught it wow. The JAG is Santorini black but still smart against black alloys.

Is it true that the first gen XF with the PSA 2.2 diesel engine producing 200 HP is the most reliable XF, while, on the contrary, the second gen XF is a total disaster? I've read about many people having issues with it......

Best advice I can give with the ingenium engines is as follows:
      1) If you don’t drive long distances- don’t get one.
      2) ignore the two year servicing recommendations and have an oil and filter change at least once a year
      3) don’t use cheap diesel (supermarkets etc) try and use premium fuel, if you can’t get access to premium fuels use millers ecomax with every tank full
      4) make sure your warranty covers EGR valve, EGR Cooler and NOX sensors, preferably the DPF as well
      5) keep an eye out for oil dilution issues as well!!

U work hard & u deserve a luxurious mode of transportation.
It’s totally different from the old one,I’m assuming it’s the autobiography model ??
The interior is opulent, luxurious & almost regal & majestic…I’d go for that colour combo…there’s actually a new RR out today,u can trade it inn for that in a few years time 🤣🤣🤣💷💷💷

I like your reasoning. I sold my old SUV this summer because I couldn't believe how much I could get for it. 3 months later, I bought a 2018 Porsche Macan S. And I paid too much for it. But I figure that inflation is here to stay, life is too short, and ICE cars will soon be a thing of the past. In the end, there is no justification for what we do other than it's how the car makes us feel.

You are absolutely right, life is to short, I run an old Discovery 3 which will be turning into a later Range Rover soon. My weekend car if you like is a 996 Targa, I am on my 3rd 911 and each one was my last for about 2 weeks, we do have a problem 😂

Grey/Silver looks lovely, much more classy than Black, plus Black seats get hot in the sun! All they need now is heated and "cooled" steering wheel😁 seriously I hate when my steering wheel is baking hot after being parked for a while on a sunny day!

True every buying proposition cannot always be led by logic. Sometimes it has to be by your heart. I do wonder though if you should look at a toyota equivalent to the landrover. It may not have quite the appeal but it wont break.

Hi Matt , I fully agree with your comments on black interiors . Why do so few cars get specked with black leather, white or beige gives a real feel good factor and press trial cars are always with light interiors ! Would like to hear your views

I've always lived by the motto that you should buy the best you can afford and that which makes you happy; driving around in a car that you dislike only gives you a negative outlook which will translate into your personal and business life, so it makes perfect sense to drive a car that you like and gives you a positive outlook on life, the benefit of that is immeasurable.

Problem with owning a Range Rover is that everything else feels crap once you’ve sold it , despite the repair shenanigans!

    • @HighPeakAutos
      @HighPeakAutos  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

That’s the problem. You cannot replace them with anything better. The only things better are Bentley and RR but they’re not as practical or utilitarian

I totally understand what your saying about driving a Range Rover , we’ve literally just upgraded our base model velar to a velar SE R Dynamic, with just 2000 miles on the clock, as a long distance lorry driver, working 65 , 70 hrs a week and away from home and family all week, I totally get what your saying about driving a nice car , something really satisfying about driving a Range Rover. Work hard for it , why not ??
