Our go too's are Halls Chop House. Fig, SNOB, High Cotton, Grill 225, and Poogans Porch for brunch. Tattooed Moose Mt Pleasant We love Chucktown. We are about 1 1/2 hours north and are there at least once a month staying at the Charleston Place.

Just tried Florence’s Lowcountry Kitchen. They have a unique take on shrimp and grits!

My first shrimp and grits was at Anson and I have tried that same entree at lots of other places but none of them have measured up to Anson's. However, I keep giving other restaurants a try. I've been to Fleet but didn't have their shrimp and grits. Will definitely go back after your excellent review.

Not downtown but on John's Island is The Wild Olive which is fantastic Italian food.
