@@ShushaSofia So many things to do. The Museum of Charleston is the first museum in the US, so do that. The aquarium is excellent. Rainbow Row, and the old, famous homes in that part of the city. Of course Ft. Sumter, but honestly, I could go on and on. It's an amazing place. I thinking about moving there sometime soon.
SNOB, High Cotton, Halls Chop House, Oak, Poogans Porch, Fig, Hymans, Pennislula Grill, Hanks Seafood, Palmetto Grill in The Charleston Place (that's where we always stay) are our go too's. We live an hour north and go to Chucktown quite often. Great list , great vid...
Hyman's has decent food, but it is overhyped and is somewhat of a tourist trap. The food is not bad, I have had decent meals there, its just that being in the foodie city of Charleston SC good seafood places are a dime a dozen.
For me the worst restaurant in Charleston is 82 Queen, all the dishes are over salted especially the calamari! Personally, I recommend Peninsula Grill, it's one of the best restaurants!
I've never had a bad meal at Fleet's Landing. The menu changes with the seasons. Husk is good, but not the best IMO. Magnolia's is a nice, too. There are so many "good" places to eat that's it would take too much time to list. There are a lot of restaurants that are so over rated like Hyman's and Slightly North of Broad. I grew up in SC and my parent's owned a vacation home on Sullivan's Island. We would go into the city every Saturday to eat. Sometimes it was a real treat, other times it was, meh. Tastes change over time.
Am a Charlestonian & enjoyed your video ! I think you are spot on with your selections !
Thank you for your feedback
While I go down to Charleston as often as I can (I live in NYC), I always eat at Husk and FIG. Charleston is by far my favorite city in the US!
Coming from a New Yorker I take your comment quite seriously. Can you recommend other activities? I’m set to visit at the end of this month.

Yes it's definitely a special place 🙂 I moved here from Long Island, NY a couple years ago.
Thank you for featuring Charleston's downtown restaurants🙂It is a lovely place to live in and move to!
It really is! Thanks!
My favorite place to dine is Hyman’s. This local establishment is absolute delight near Market if not tried.
I'm surprised it didn't make the list. It's a must visit every time I'm in town.

The disappearing rectangles are distracting and unnecessary.

There is only 3 restaurants that are correct to be on this list. This is a list for us locals to give tourists. Trash list.
thank you for your feedback
You lost me when you mentioned Husk. That place was a joke. Terrible quality food at high prices. We'll never go there again.
You are so right about Husk thanks for your honesty and not following the herd. I really don’t understand how anyone could have enjoyed eating there
