I'd like to let you know that if you place your side mirror switch to either left or right (not the middle), when you go in reverse, the side mirrors auto tilt down which assists you in parking in reverse. I really like this feature.
Binged watched all of your videos. Great content. Beautiful car. Looking forward to more posts. Disappointed none in 5 months. Keep up the good work. Great content and editing!
Another feature although not limited to the Ioniq 5 that I use on my I5 and Tucson is that if you press the unlock button and then press and hold it again it will roll down the windows while the vehicle is parked.
The hand brake/park brake does NOT come on when you turn the vehicle off unless you have the Auto Hold turned on. If the Auto Hold is not on the hand brake/park brake has to be applied manually and separately.
@@PluggingRevolution About the only thing the dealer told me was that I must apply the Electronic Park Brake every time that I park up. The handbook agrees with him. So I manually apply the EPB every time I park up. I do not currently use Auto Hold. If I want the vehicle to hold, I pull and hold the left paddle until the "AUTO" changes to "STOP" in the regen section of the driver's screen. Page 6/9 of my electronic handbook says: After the vehicle has stopped, always make sure the vehicle is in P (Park), apply the parking brake, and turn the vehicle off. Page 6/26 of my electronic handbook says: To apply EPB (Electronic Parking Brake): 1. Depress and hold the brake pedal. 2. Pull up the EPB switch. Make sure the Parking Brake warning light comes on. EPB (Electronic Parking Brake) may be automatically applied when: Requested by other systems The driver turns the vehicle off whilst Auto Hold is operating. [Dominic says - NOTE THIS STATEMENT] Driving: After hearing people raving about how good iPedal was around town, I tried using it. However, I live in the country and do little city driving. The deceleration when exiting the main roads or freeway either by lifting my foot off the gas or turning off the cruise control, was far too great. So now I use auto regen set on level 3 without Auto Hold.
Thank you for the explanation. Auto regen works well on highways but not so well in a city situation. I have level 3 all the time, I always know how much deceleration to expect and driving accordingly
My RWD SEL applies the parking brake when I put it in P from the gear selector. Not sure if that's related to the recall update (applied by the dealer before I took delivery).
@@wsbucker Do you have auto hold turned on? If that is turned on, it will automatically apply the parking brake. I am still waiting for my appointment to get the recall fixed.
No comments on the Kona Electric Hybred, that actually charges itself. Have just ordered one, from Daleys Garage Falls Road, Belfast, but will not receive her till October/November. It would be nice to see this car and her works on a video. Winifred Thompson. Northern Ireland.
Some good tips here. NOW I JUST NEED TO ABLE TO GET ONE!!!! Ahhhhhhh 😭😭😭 I want one so bad. Have so much money into waitlists with a possible 2-3 yr wait. Nuts
Just got my ioniq 5. Its amazing how much tech is packed into this car!! Great video

Thank you for the information. I will definitely check it out
Only on models that have that feature, mine doesn’t because it’s a low model

That is a nice feature but they problem is that on the SE trim only the driver side window is automatic so only that one goes down which sucks
@@PluggingRevolution On my NZ version, both front windows open, but not the rears.
@@dominictoon7768 That's great. I have the base US trim so only the driver side window is automatic.
Got mine 2 days ago, will try out these good tips 👍🏻Awsome car 👏🏻👏🏻💪🏻
Enjoy your new car 🙂

Thanks for letting me know. I will test it out. Do you usually turn on the electric park brake?

Any update on the ev? 1 yr review?
Good tips, will come in handy.
I'm glad you found the information useful
Mine is arriving in August so I’ll take a look at these tips when it turns up.
You must be excited then. Is this your first EV? What trim did you go for?
@@PluggingRevolution yes, first EV, have got the 77Kw premium arriving. Should be fun.
Very nice. You'll definitely like it. It's a great car
Shame because the facelift has many issues fixed. Ordering mine on Sunday. 84KW Ultimate. @@metube9541

Wait 2-3 year wait list? Are you from Canada? I see people getting it in less than a month. I suggest checking out the subreddit ioniq 5 on reddit
@@PluggingRevolution
Yes. I’m Canada. Near Vancouver. Thanks for the advice. I’ll check it out
I'm sorry to hear that. For Canada, I have heard extremely long wait times.. hopefully you are able to get one soon
Is that how bad it is? I bought one back in March and had to wait about 1.5 months.
@@LichaelMewis I’m in Canada. I wish we could get one that fast. I broke down this week and ordered a Tesla
