A proper classic of 90s movies. Love the literal "uh oh" moment, where the Commandos realize that with the Gorgonites in the fray, the tables have actually turned.
Bear in mind this was directed by Joe Dante, aka the director of the Gremlins films. It reminded me of Gremlins 2 where Gizmo burns Mohawk alive with a fire arrow after spending half the film being bullied and tortured. Kate: "What happened to *him*?" Even as a 7 year old kid, when Archer bravely said "No more hiding" i knew things where about to get epic, and when that amazing music kicks in it's absolute cinematic perfection.
Well technically it kind of makes sense that the Gorgonites can kick ass since they are monsters and from the look of things they have their own set of powers like super strength. Even the Commando Elite realized they were about feel a huge ass kicking when the Gorgonites finally stood up for themselves.

Zaniac was always my favorite and as I saw it the strongest Gorgonite even surpassing Archer. His looney antics and especially speed and spinning could have won the war easily but his programming nerfed him until THIS moment.
Anyone notice at 1:46, Ocula is chasing Brick Bazooka & Link Static, then they turn around and chase him right back, I have no idea why I'm finding that so funny!!
One other funny thing is in the novel version of the film Ocula can squeeze enemies with his eye stalk like a snake and pop off their heads but it's not seen in the film itself.

I love how all the toys are fully aware that they're toys but still 100% commit to their programming. Even when they're standing next to fifteen other versions of themselves.
Well that's the whole point. Because the Gorgonites were progamed to hide and lose the Commandos except Chip Hazard always expected the Gorgonites to do that and they always expected the humans who were the Gorgonites allies to protect them all the time which was why the Commandos were not scared to fight the humans. But when the Gorgonites fought the Commandos and protected the humans the Commandos were put in their place.

But however, the Commando Elite developed evil personalities while the Gorgonites developed good personalities which hence in term the Gorgonites were actually the real heroes of the movie and the Commando Elite the real true villains of the film also.
Great movie, great voiceovers like Tommy Lee Jones. Phil Hartman at his best; so sad he was shot by his wife around when this film came out. Watchable for the whole family.

That was awesome. The Gorgonites were able to overcome their fears. They grew tired of running away and hiding like cowards and losers, so Archer and his comrades found the strength to fight back and help Alan defeat the Commando Elite. It took them a while to get a grip and the guts after Alan did everything to protect them in his home until they return to the isle of Gorgon, their beloved homeland. I find Archer, Ocula, Punch-It, Scratch-It, Insaniac, Slamfist, and Traglicka cool.
This is my favorite scene . It's when the main heroic team against the sinister army.its like if Chip hazard can disobey his programming by fighting innocent people instead of just gorgonites. Archer can disobey his programming too by fighting commandos instead of hiding and retreating.
I love how this shows that the Gorgonites are actually WAY stronger than the Commandos and if they really wanted to they could have wiped the floor with them from the get-go, but their initial programming prevented them from doing so since they were marketed as the "bad guy" toys. However just like Archer said to Chip, they're programmed to lose but also programmed to learn, which is what allowed them to realize that them being designed to lose was basically always just bullshit. The fact that the Commandos react with genuine shock and panic when the Gorgons start fighting back tells me that they were actually aware of it from very the start but didn't care because as far as they knew it was impossible for them to override their programming.
The director of this movie must love Taz because in Gremlins 2 and also (the part he directed from) The Twilight Zone movie two other characters do this
So bacically, the Gorgonites are actually capable and strong but they're programmed to believe in the status quo since they're technically the antagonist faction.
