    How much proof does it take to show that the toxic chemicals released by burn pits made veterans sick? Or that they're the same chemicals in Agent Orange? Maybe a few official memos could help.

      @@sfreemanoh My wife is Chinese and we live in Tokyo. She asked who is Jon Stewart and I had to step back. He redefined comedy. People literally watched The Daily Show because they thought they got more truthful information than from regular news. And now everyone copies this style. Look at Johnny Carson, Letterman, Leno, they made jokes about politics, but it wasn't the center of their shows. Jon changed all of that. The closest to follow him I would say is John Oliver who, guess what, came from The Daily Show.
      The other thing I like is that these comedians deep down aren't competing with each other like Letterman and Leno did. They want us all to watch all of them. Just a couple of days ago Seth Meyers and James Corden (yeah, I only watch one of them) did a joint segment together, from competing shows! They have each other on their shows. Jon Stewart to launch his show was on Colbert! I love youtube that lets me watch them all. BTW, missing Conan.

      Shows the destructive nature of the economic system based on profit-seeking above all else. There is plenty of money for making war but never enough for treating the symptoms of exposure to war. Of course, war makes money, but peace doesn't. So in a world based on making money, what interests are going to be pushed the most?
      The DEMAND in the USA should be for: Medicare-For-All NOW, Housing-For-All, and Basic Income. Some shmuck politician will then say "How are we going to pay for that?", Answer with: "Same way all the wars were paid for and the skyrocketing military budget." Add a little "and you can't put a price on freedom, right?" Fake politicians love to use the word 'freedom' against the people to get what they want. Throw it back in their faces!

      @cityhawk 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You can tell that John Oliver learned a lot from Jon. Bringing light to matters that we didn’t know we should be paying attention to more. They were under the radar because of the density of the subject, but John Oliver and his team have done a great job with their research, holding people accountable. Still, my favorite was when John took on the lies of the coal mining industry promising that with Trump’s help, they would be back to work. That was never true, and it never will be. John did a great job bringing that to light. Both of them are exceptional at what they do.
