I had the 2019 Odyssey Elite. Solid mini van. Drove well and felt safe. There were nagging things though: Center entertainment sometimes froze. I had to take it in only to have the technician take off one of the battery terminals for a few minutes and then put it back on. I had to take it back a few more times for the same problem.
It got to the point where I kept a 10 mm wrench in my glove box to take the battery terminal off myself.
By the way, my battery died after a few days of taking delivery. Called road side service and they were good. it’s not easy to jump the minivan because the positive battery terminal is blocked by the air intake. So, the road side service guy spent some time removing the air intake to get to the positive battery terminal. This incident only happened once though.

I love my 2020 Odyssey EX-L NAV-ENT. Coming from a 2014 Elite, I do miss my vacuum. When I take the 2nd row seats out, I do not like that the seat mount platform thingy stays behind and sits so far above the floor. I understand it's so the seats can slide perpendicular to the door, but I never use that since I keep the center console in place. That 10 speed trans shifts so good too. I thought it would constantly be hunting gears, but it doesn't.

Hybrids hold no advantage over a v6, especially come resale time. And good MPG is not a reason, considering the price you are paying for these who cares about an extra $500/year for gas. Plus whatever you save in gas, you will lose in resale value. And all things considered (manufacturing plus disposal), hybrids are worse for the environment too.

The issue with the Pacifica is that the headrests (because of stow and go) interfere with forward facing and booster installations. Which is important to consider in a vehicle made for families. A lot of carseats are just not compatible with a safe install. It also has fewer tether anchors for installs. So for a family with car seats, the odyssey is the better choice, hands down.

No those stow and go seats are uncomfortable. They are like sitting on padded picnic chairs. One can tolerate them just fine for half an hour with adults, maybe an hour tops for children. Anything beyond that for long road trips and you will be getting massive complaints, perhaps even fist fights in the back seat because you forced them into the penalty box.

Yes, I have to be very careful now with the transmission as it will slip if I try and accelerate too fast, but darn, this car owes me nothing--I actually would be comfortable taking it on a cross country trip. I use it now as a 2nd car for cargo hauling. Good luck getting any Dodge product to be as reliable and trouble-free.
