Just got a used 2018 Honda Odyssey after having our third child, and it is seriously the best car I’ve ever purchased. The room is so practical, and it has all the bells and whistles I’ve ever wanted in a car: blue ray Tv, vacuum, automatic doors, smart key, sun roof, cabin camera, heated seats that are leather, etc. Plus it’s safe!
Plus it has more horsepower than a supra ☠️☠️☠️

I still love my 2006 Odyssey with almost 200;000 miles and no problems other than regular maintenance. This model is a tank and a work horse. 14 years old and still drives like new, really fast pick up for a 4500 pound vehicle and handling is respectable. Don’t like the new transmission button shifter but new Odyssey is kind of nice in my opinion compared to the previous models.

I work at a Honda dealership and to add a couple things, the cabinwatch on some even has nightvision so you can see the kids even at night, the cabin talk will even play through headphones connected to the rear entertainment, and the maintenance number is a code honda uses A or B means oil change, 1 means tire rotation, 2 means engine air and cabin filters, 3 means transmission fluid, 4 means timing belt/water pump/spark plugs, 5 means coolant, 6 means rear differential fluid, 7 means brake fluid

There are actually more numbers and the letter B also. The car tells what service it wants. This honda wants an A.1 service. There is also B service, which includes all kinds of checks. Numbers are more specific checks. I know that number 9 means valve check. So there is nothing weird about this system.

@@slooriginal1727 It's 6.5-6.7s in the Touring and Elite trims that got the 10-speed auto, so Doug didn't do his research here. The time he quoted is correct for the previous generation, and maybe for the lower trims with the 8-speed auto.
This thing is as fast as my '13 MINI Cooper S, which I think is reasonably fast and fun to floor it to the speed limit. My wife's '14 Odyssey Touring is slower, but for a van it actually handles really well. It almost feels like a large sedan, and I find that impressive.
Meanwhile me in my 2018 1.3L corolla with 14.6secs of 0-100kph

If you buy a maintenance plan from the dealer, we have to clean out the vac each time you bring it in for whatever service.
I can’t even tell you how fucking nasty these things are by the time we have to clean them out.

I bought this, partially due to this review, but mainly because my last one was faithful for 13 years and you cannot beat this van. I drove the competition, this wins in every department in my book.

I grew up in the 70's & 80's when we had station wagons for family transportation. I remember laying in the way back in launch position as we drove across Montana in 90+ degree temperatures and we couldn't roll the windows down because of the gas crisis. I remember wishing we could watch TV as we sweated our way across the state. I had my kids late into my 40's and we are now on our 2nd minivan...a Pacifica. I can not tell you how much I love this vehicle. The kids are comfortable and better yet, quiet because they are each watching their own DVD player. I don't even think they are ugly because, well, I grew up riding in a green 1972 Ford Ranch Wagon. Of course, I do have a GT350 to drive on weekends when we aren't doing something family related!

Anthony i do. But i talk from personal experiance. I owned a oddessy myself and the dang thing went out 3 differnt times. A honda accord. The transmission made me put it on S to drive foward in the highway and D for the city which was not normal. Im suprised the my civic still runs.
Frank Chance not gonna lie chief the odyssey is actually a really good car. we are on the same transmission and today, i finally got past the 350k mark in my 09 odyssey. transmission and engine are still good and it’s been a really trustworthy car.

I love the Honda Odyssey elite. Very practical and useful for families. Nice features like power sliding doors and power tailgate. I love the cabin watch camera that keeps an eye on the kids for you and microphone. From Kai.
Yep my family had a Honda Odyssey 2014 yet it's a great car with DVD players extra seats and stuff more storage and yet it's long-lasting.

I grew up in a variety of different minivans and the 2007 odyssey is one of them. It was top end for its year. Honda really accelerated (pun intended) over the years in technology. To where I think Honda has hit the tip of the ice berg. The cabin talk is probably the coolest feature. It’s like one way to say that you’re not just a mom, you’re a cool mom! But the camera to view the back seats. People say cellphones are dangerous but to move around that camera while driving is more dangerous then a cellphone. Then you have all the picky options for everything in that dash. I mean, if someone spent the money on that car. They better keep it until it dies because that car is loaded and would waste your money if you replaced it early.

My 2008 Kia Sedona (minivan) has the same 5 ways to open the sliding doors: Buttons up front in overhead console, button on B pillar, handle on inside of door, handle on outside of door, buttons on key fob. It's not that new, but it shows that this is the first minivan he's ever been around.
Also, CabinTalk makes his voice sound like something you'd expect from a 1970s David Bowie sci-fi flick. Or a 1980s pinball machine.

Not gonna lie, I appreciate it because Im 6'5" and about the same build as Doug. Its a decent gauge to see how much room is in each car without going through the hassle of going to a dealer just to find out I dont fit in a certain car that Im looking to buy.
