    Hahaha, the dog at 0:23 is undercover and pretending to be a sheep. The wolves will never see him coming.

    Sheepmen use these and similar breeds in Colorado. Previously, mountain bikers thought it was hip, slick and cool to go blasting through the sheep flocks. After several got mauled by the dogs, the Forest Service, etc. started handing out pamphlets outlining proper behavior around sheep in the high country.

      In the UK if an uncontrolled dog attacks a farmer's sheep (or other livestock) the offending animal can be shot without warning, I'm sure such mountain bikers are also viable targets. 🐑🐑🐑

    It’s times like these I hope that methods like these become the norm when reducing human-wildlife conflict. Here in North America, wolves are being slaughtered en masse all because they’re “eating all the deer and leaving hunters with nothing to hunt”. Wild animals aren’t yours, and there are better hobbies than trophy hunting. If people just got smarter and the use of livestock guardian dogs spreads across the planet, we can hopefully decrease our ecofootprint.

    • @chickenfist1554
      @chickenfist1554 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Totally agree. But then using guardian dogs in a sensible way I imagine wouldn't help impotence the same way that hunting does. Unless of course you live in the literal middle of nowhere and would not survive otherwise. But then those people aren't usually filming themselves doing it or mowing down hogs from a helicopter!

      @insaneone86 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      They're being hunted because we as humans somehow feel it's okay to just take an animals life all for sport...One thing if it's for much needed food but a totally different thing just cause someone felt like doing it...😔

      To clarify, all deer hunting is not trophy hunting. Hunters can take a lot of credit for conservation efforts for the last century. Most non-hunters are quite uninformed in regards to. The majority think the recreational hunting of animals is bad, yet happily buy meat at the supermarket. I guarantee the wild animal had a better life all-around.
      Plus, a lot of the maintenance of our forests and wildlife is funded by hunters. If only Bambi had never been made...

      Carrots and celery don't grow bahind the store. It's great work, to plant and tend to crops, and without a gym membership involved.

    Don't be fooled by this documentary the dogs are treated badly, beaten and have their noses burned to train them, we know as we have a romanian rescue ex shepard dog. The wonderful shepards tied them to trees to die after they have had their use with them.
