    Dingo would win... Trust me...
Dingos are dogs but wild dogs, They are far removed from domestic dogs, They are much more feared than Coyotes and have been known to win fights with bigger dogs, Coyotes get shredded by big dogs because they are much more frail with less bite force hence they are opportunistic.
Dingos are decended quite recently from wolves like most Asian breeds, Coyotes are in between foxes and wolves...
    There is no comparison.

Foxes are no where close to coyotes in the evolutionary tree of canids . Dingoes, coyotes, domestic dogs, *golden jackals*, grey wolves, red wolves, & possibly Ethiopian wolves are all in the canis genus or sisters to the genus. Most foxes are vulpes. Grey foxes and South American foxes aren’t true foxes, vulpes

I have seen wild Dingoes and Coyotes many times. From my experience the dingo is a bit bigger on average but not by a lot, slightly more muscular, both are typically very lean. I assume there are differences depending on regions and climates. All the dingoes I have encountered were in central Australia, the coyotes were from California. My dog (husky) would go crazy when we often encountered coyotes in the streets of San Fernando Valley (LA), I think he could tell that it wasn't just another dog. I'm Australian but I lived in USA for many years. I would bet on the dingo winning.

@@benjithecorgi5714 That's an awful thing to say. Here, a dog would have a hard time, by itself, winning against a coyote, though a local pitt mix is said to have killed one. I also heard a neighbor believes a huge "dog" fight inside their chain linked fence was their Pyrenese holding the throat of a coyote that entered the yard. What a fascinating stand-off. Nature is so unpredictable & varied, that I'm sure this confrontation could go either way. But nothing I've heard in the dark of night equals the spine tingling sound of a pack of coyotes on the hunt. Once they have their prey in their sights, the rising cackling, yipping & howling sounds emitting from the pack, moving across the prairie at astounding speeds, is enough to chill the blood & raise Goose bumps.
The first time I heard that phenomenon in the deserts of Eastern Oregon, I was convinced that it was a gaggle of witches, come to haunt us & scare the crap out of us at midnight on this wild wetland preserve.
I'm sure dingos have their strengths & tactics...but a pack of coyotes is nothing to trifle with!

There's more than enough food for them in the wild, but 75% of their diet comes from human sources where I live, including pets. Technically are feral Dog, just not a recent feral population, and are a very much needed predator. They are an ancient neolithic breed, brought to Australia from South-East Asia by humans, humans played a part in their morphological appearance, they are (Canis familiarus). Dingo Dog share ancestry with a South-East Asian Dogs, look into Kintamani Dog, and the Bali Street Dogs responsible for their creation, all classed as (Canis familiarus). [QUOTE] A genetic study indicates that the Kintamani dog is native to Bali and was derived from Bali street dogs. The Bali street dogs are most closely aligned with the Australian dingo, more distantly related to AKC recognized breeds of Asian origin but not those of European origin. Therefore, the Kintamani dog was developed from Balinese dogs with little loss of genetic diversity. [UNQUOTE]

@@Murdaman-qu1ti There ancestry is from a population of Asian pariah dog, that are classified as (Canis familiarus), New Guinea singing dogs and Dingo dogs, sit in the clade of Asian dog breeds, they are a isolated feral land breed, they tame easier then wolves, as show by the way native Australians that would collect and keep them as of when they wanted to, (any animal that was once domestically ownd by humans, but is now reverted to a wild state is feral, City pigeon, wild pigs in America and Australia, Domestic cats world wide, Domestic horses etc, still hold the same scientific names as there fully domestic counterparts). Based on there isolation, and the fact they made it to Australia before agriculture, if i was to rank them higher than (Canis familiarus), i would put them as (Canis familiarus dingo) so once domestic now wild, not (Canis dingo) mother nature didn't fully created them, humans started them off, humans took them past being wolves, it's not fully agreed where New Guinea singing dogs and Dingo dogs sit, all scientific names (Canis lupus dingo), (Canis dingo), (Canis familiarus), (Canis familiarus dingo) are all used by different people, it isn't fix because they can't fully decide. Based on the fact they sit in the clade of the Asian domestic dog breeds, to me they are a neolithic ancient breed, like the Mongolian hourse that is said to have been domesticated in Asian 10,000 years ago for meat, and has been started to be ridden around 4,000 years ago, they are feral that are collected when needed, and still hold the scientific name (Equus caballus) Domestic horse. New Guinea singing dogs and Dingo dogs are in the Asian dog breed clade making them closely related to Chow-chow, Akira, Shiba-inu, Shar-pei etc more so to the Bali street dogs and the Kintamani dog. For me they are still to close to (Canis familiarus) to be (Canis dingo), so they are (Canis familiarus) if i was to give them a status above that, it would be ecotypes of New Guinea singing dogs and Dingo dog (Canis familiarus dingo), this would be enough to give them protection, as it would part them from Domestic dog (Canis familiarus familiarus).

Coyotes are everywhere in the U.S. and often mistaken for regular dogs. There was a coyote family living in an empty lot in my neighborhood, right next to the interstate and a major road. We call them urban coyotes. I used to take my German Shepherd over there and let him chase the coyotes. One day he chased one into the underbrush and I couldn't see him. About 20 seconds later he came running out with the coyote right behind him. He got nipped on the butt and let out a yelp lol. He wasn't hurt and it didn't break the skin, but it was interesting to see how coyotes will run away but also chase bigger animals. Coyotes are extremely quick and agile, much more than any normal dog.

Yes. I live in New England and didn't think we had coyotes here, but then I saw a poster showing the ranges of several coyote packs in the area. I was surprised because I never saw any. A month or two later, I had to drive to an airport early, while it was still dark. I saw several coyotes from my car. They became "real" to me in my neighborhood. And let me tell you there is nothing scarier than the sound of hundreds of dingoes howling at night taunting you and your dogs, you can't see them but you know they're very close. I have never seen a coyote but they would have to be tougher than most dogs in order to beat a dingo.

for the most part, a farm with guardian type dogs (like a great pyrenees) would be enough of a deterrent to keep coyotes away. Possibly because they have historically shared territory and been prey of wolves, they are much more timid around bigger domestic dogs. though they definitely go for small dogs and cats. People in California even started having their small dogs wear huge spike collars if they let them outside to protect from coyotes.
but I agree, Dingoes seem the more formidable of the two by far IMO. Hearing them howl in big packs like that would be very scary!!

I have a South Carolina Dingo, the American equivalent to the Australian Dingo, and there's no way even an Eastern Coyote (mixed with Wolf), would stand a chance against him. I have an Alaskan Husky with whom my dingo is best packmates (she is Siberian, Akita, and Wolf), and a wild Wolf wouldn't even stand up to either one of them.

As you go further north in North america, the animals get larger, including coyotes. A southern US coyote is much smaller than a northern Alberta coyote. A dingo would kill a southern coyote probably, but not a larger northern coyote

Dingoes are honestly the most misunderstood creatures here in Australia, I have two vids on my profile of my beautiful dingo boys (Loki and Bandit) and now I have a female pup 😌 ,
    - yes we can have them as pets in my state for anyone who's wondering and no they are not dogs! They can not eat dog food nor digest grain, the females are the alphas in a pack, they play more "cat" like than "dog", they howl at dusk, dawn and to sirens - bandit tho howls to the guitar 😌 annnnd they are the biggest sooks needing plenty of time and space, they love cuddles, oh and the need for high fences cause oh boy they can jump 😅🥰
