@@Motivacionexito524 people without work experience? That's an awesome idea but most of tips in these videos work for everyone so you just have to adapt the answers to your real situation, for example, skipping the I have previous experience part.
This video is still valid in 2024. Tested, approved and trusted. I watched the video before my interview, my interviewer was very impressed with my responses and I got a call back 2hours later.

I got the job today! Had an interview at 930am. Got a call back at 1225pm with a job offer. Following these techniques and answers. I am so excited and grateful. Thank you Richard.
I work in a call center. What Richard says is a must! No experience when I started. By far the most difficult job I’ve had yet. Yet is is the most rewarding. I work with veterans so empathy is a must! Speed, accuracy and professionalism is key. Especially since you don’t know what kind of a call you will have each and every time
Most rewarding? What planet are you on. There fucking hell. Getting abused by people every day. Then getting micro managed by managers for how long you take on a call, reading scripts, can't be a minute late from your break. It's hell
@@chrisd_85 I don’t work at that type of call center with difficult management. Yea there are number you need to meet on outbound. That was rough. I am inbound and we don’t have numbers to meet really but we do take back to back calls. I am not the fastest nor the slowest. I am accurate and treat the callers as I want to be treated. Luckily, I work for a company that lets me do this. You can’t be lazy. They track everything. I’m vocal, I help ppl, I’m encouraging and I’ll ask a question when stuck. I will make a mistake here and there. We cannot be late from lunch and breaks as well. I don’t take advantage of that. I am on time everyday. I have heard horror stories about call centers and it sounds like you are in one of those call centers and I’m sorry you are. I think I just got lucky with mine is all.
I just came out of an interview, I have long experience in different areas no previous experience whatsoever as a call center. However, I did great😊. Key question asked where "What do you know about customer service/call center", "Give a real life example of resolving a customer problem" and of course they started by "Tell us about yourself and past experience". My advise to everyone is to ensure presenting "Excellent Communication Skills and Problem Solving Skills and Time Mgt" as they are the most important skills for such job, in the same order above. Give as many evidences that you posses these 3 skills and make them learn that as a person "interacting with/ and helping people" is your thing. It is for me and honestly it's all of my experience for the job 😅 lol. Good luck to everyone and Much thanks to Richard for always excellent useful content videos.

Research the STAR interview questions and answers. Right down examples and try to plan out what you will say but don't sound like you're reading or sound like a robot lol
I have 11 years experience with the company where I currently work. I saw a posting for remote virtual finance service specialist. This delves amongst banking and call center. I used this as an outline to sort my thoughts and 6 questions I nailed. The last 4 were a little rough because one pertain to importance of inclusivity and diversity. I answered it well but since its been a long time I've had that as an interview question I faltered in the beginning yet I finished strong by saying its easier for me to give a real life past experience that supports my answer. The last three delve around the capabilities of working with multiple technologies at one time, working through the process of learning a program, and lastly what concerns do you see that would cause a road block working in a virtual remote setting. That was a trick question, which I asked for a min to ruminate before answering. I answered all albeit the last four not as refined as I wanted it to be. My advice, make sure that not only use this as a guide to sell yourself but also make sure you don't rely on one video or one source of example sets of questions. Also even prior to wanting to apply for something different, every other day I do mock interviews in my head. Memorizing skill sets, metrics and results achieved, strong examples that define a succesful past incidents. These mock interviews id practice every other day helped me pull answers that I was not prepared for due to muscle memory. I had loads of answers I was able to choose from to get through those 4 last questions with ease, yet not so refined. I was offered the next day and I accepted.
Hi Mr. Richard McMunn. I would like to thank you very much, because I had been watching your videos for the past week before going for my interview. After many years being a freelance caregiver, and with no related experience to the job i am applying now, your videos had greatly taught me how to go through the process confidently! I passed 2 interviews already, and hopefully will get the job by the end of this month. Wish me luck and again, thank you so much!
As someone preparing for a call center interview, this seems straightforward for native English speakers, but personally, I felt like a beginner in English, especially considering I had much more work to do. Thanks for the helpful insights!

Somehow I found you on this platform, after years of my last interview I had. I applied for a bilingual CSR position. I wrote down all the questions I believed would be asked. Well, after about 12 hours hearing your videos, approaching my interview I felt confident I’d do well. I seemed prepared. Came to find out during my interview only 1 question was asked, was after they played a recorded call and I was asked feedback on the call. I took notes of irate question and answer you shared added to my feedback on call that was played. At the end I had a successful outcome. Thank you for every video you share. Keep it up. Blessings

Hi Richard. I have worked in call Centers in multiple industries. From my experience I can tell you I’ve never sat along side or met a call center Co-worker who 1. Dresses professionally 2. Who can answer interview questions so eloquently 3. Who has this kind of enthusiasm or understanding of the job prior to the interview. Can you please explain to your audience why, if call center work is so rewarding, the turn over rate in a typical call center is 80% or higher?
Thanks for your comment! My advice would always be to dress professionally, answer questions as well was possible and have a positive attitude for any interview :)
100% this video is ridiculous and all the comments supporting it are beyond me. Call centres are hell on earth and should be burnt to the ground lol. They'd hire a pig with lipstick as you're simply a puppet hired to take the bullets so management doesn't have to. After 4 years I finally escaped this demoralising line of work thank Christ. Only apply if you're absolutely desperate.
@@spencercollison1695 The video is not ridiculous. Parts of your comment are what's ridiculous. The video is actually helpful to people who want to work in a call center. While it might be hell on earth in some call centers, some people don't have a choice, and that is the work they want to do. I am here to help them.

Excellent work!! Only little thing I'd change.. @3:51 - never say, "This is how I would deal with customers". Saying "deal with customers" makes it sound like they're a pest. Say, "take care of the customers". 😊 But I guess, if the interviewer said it first, nevermind haha!!

I am not even a subscriber and no gimmick if you listened, do/say exactly what Richard says for this call centre job you will likely get an offer for the role. I was searching for videos to help me prep when I came across many but choose this one which I then played one night before as well as the same day (on repeat) of the interview and truthfully I followed through repeating his answers moreso the "tell me about yourself" which was actually the first thing I was asked. Look when I was done answering one of the interviewer was like wow that was alot lol but in my opinion the advantage was whatever bunch of other questions they had to ask me was probably cut short cause I nailed that first question. By the next day I was called and told to come back for the second phase, an assessment, at the Call Centre. Aye I'm so excited and greateful I listened to Richard's video cause he's the real deal giving information that actually works!!! I hope my comment will help encourage others or someone who has a Call Centre interview cause believe me you will be one of their top picks if you handle yourself well hahaha. Oh try make yourself present like 15-30 minutes before your scheduled interview it's an added bonus for you getting this job too.
Omg i'm sacred now as someone who's english is not his first language i understand everything but I don't think i can say all this . But thank you sm this helped me alot i'm gonna try my best

Really helpful as I'm currently working on a Contact Center certification and potentially will be working with Sky! Will use this to brush up my interview skills.
"So I hear you'd like to work in the call center. Do you have any idea what you're doing?" "No." "Will you ever learn how to do anything to help people beyond telling them "Have you tried turning it off and on again?" and "Try doing a factory reset", and then "Since those two things didn't work, I'm going to have to transfer you to one of our experts" who is just another person as inexperienced as you who will walk them through the exact same steps as you before transferring them to another "expert"?" "No." "Have you smiled in the last 4 years?" "No." "You're hired."
Here's an interesting interview question, the context was a call centre. Interviewer: "what would you do if you saw a colleague doing the wrong thing i.e willingly recording sales fallaciously" me: "Because they are in my team, I would advise them that what they were doing was incorrect, and tell them the right way" Interviewer: "OK, they ignore your advice and continue the practice. Me: "In my next one on one with my manager I would explain, (no names), what I had seen and how I thought it could damage the companies reputation". Interviewer ".......so you would snitch" Interview went south from my side after this.
Thank you very much for this insightful video. I attended a call centre interview yesterday after listening to this video few times and followed the pattern mentioned in this video. Got my offer letter today. More than excited .

Great video. Been watching for years.. Can you assist with these questions for a call center manager. Who would you handle a low performing team? If an employee calls in stating that they are going to be about 2hr late because of an emergency with their children and have to go to the doctor. What steps would you take to maintain service level until the employee arrives. How would you handle an employee thats always tardy

I work in a call center. What Richard says is a must! No experience when I started. By far the most difficult job I’ve had yet. Yet is is the most rewarding. I work with veterans so empathy is a must! Speed, accuracy and professionalism is key. Especially since you don’t know what kind of a call you will have each and every time
THANK YOU!
@@CareerVidz You need to do the same for the next few subcriber
Can u help me
I just came out of an interview, I have long experience in different areas no previous experience whatsoever as a call center.

How did you get in the field with no experience? I’ve applied many places can’t get any 😢
L
Call centres do not need experienced people their turnover is so huge they hire on the spot, even a monkey could get a CC job
So happy to hear this! :)

Who has this kind of enthusiasm or
understanding of the job prior to the interview.
Many thanks

Really helpful as I'm currently working on a Contact Center certification and potentially will be working with Sky! Will use this to brush up my interview skills.
What role are you interviewing for? :)
"So I hear you'd like to work in the call center. Do you have any idea what you're doing?"
"No."
"Will you ever learn how to do anything to help people beyond telling them "Have you tried turning it off and on again?" and "Try doing a factory reset", and then "Since those two things didn't work, I'm going to have to transfer you to one of our experts" who is just another person as inexperienced as you who will walk them through the exact same steps as you before transferring them to another "expert"?"
"No."
"Have you smiled in the last 4 years?"
"No."
"You're hired."
😳
Thank you Richard for such help . Really appreciate and you inspired us viewers to pass such interview.
MANY THANKS
Here's an interesting interview question, the context was a call centre. Interviewer: "what would you do if you saw a colleague doing the wrong thing i.e willingly recording sales fallaciously" me: "Because they are in my team, I would advise them that what they were doing was incorrect, and tell them the right way" Interviewer: "OK, they ignore your advice and continue the practice. Me: "In my next one on one with my manager I would explain, (no names), what I had seen and how I thought it could damage the companies reputation". Interviewer ".......so you would snitch" Interview went south from my side after this.
😳
I wish I could take you speak in my ear every time I go for an interview
I hope the content helps! When's your interview? :)
