    The dad in the first concern us so awful. He has a perfect daughter but he treats her wrongly. It's gonna cause emotional and mental problems for the daughter. If I where there I wouldn't have been able to contain my anger.

      He was just being sadistic there. I and my little brother have an age gap of nine years and yet my parents treat us equally so age difference should never be the issue. Well, I do get scolded instead of my brother sometimes but that's a given. In this case, it just looks like the roles have switched; the dad is immature and says whatever's on his mind while the daughter is the mature one.

      i mean i have a 14 year age gap with my sister and there is times where i am treated unfairly but then i tell him straight up that i understand cause she is younger but he needs to understand that he had two kids and he needs to take care of both and treat them both semi fairly

      I agree that this issue has nothing to do with age gap. I'm older than my brother by over 7 years and I've never been told I was a bother or that I was annoying. And what I don't understand is that usually it's the dad that dotes on his daughter, yet in this case he's so rude and thoughtless. Doesn't matter how awkward your relationship is with your daughter you don't push her aside and refuse to acknowledge her efforts or existence. I applaud her for not simply giving up and not bothering to form a relationship with her father, because that's something I would most certainly have done

      No kidding, I would have lost it. The worst part is that he can just admit all these things in front of celebrities, a live audience, and millions of TV viewers without even looking bothered. I seriously worry how this girl will have to continue to grow up, like I doubt he even feels compelled to change. I really hope the other people in her life can support her so that this doesn't do lasting damage on her future relationships/actions.

    that father on the first segment is so cruel to his daughter, I would have given up being his daughter if I were her. Honestly, that girl is an angel for withstanding her dad.

      I know if I would have been his daughter I would have just stopped asking for his love after so many times and wouldn't even come on this show what should I resolve and beg for his love when he doesn't love me as a parent u dont beg ur parents for love they love u naturally but he dosent and I would have stopped caring about him and focused my attention and my love for mother and grandparents and would have stopped talking to him forever and the would have just left the home and earn money and give it to my mother nothing for him and would have played hard like he did so frustrated by him and I dont think he will change or stop favouring the younger child bcz he so used to favouring her and by doing this he himself is spoiling her and making her a brat

    For the first concern I'm sooo glad the oldest daughter was able to expose her dad like that. He kept makes excuses to justify how he treats her and I hope everyone who knows them saw this show and tells him how horrible of a person he's been. Just one day of "okay" treatment of his daughter is not going to makeup for the cruelty he's been putting her through for years. I hope he spends the rest of his life feeling guilty about this and loves her the way she should be loved.

    • @brittanywallace3382
      @brittanywallace3382 7 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      kwells1111 I don't know man they had a long separation, he might just honestly not like her or love her as much he can't help how he feels. I think though as a parent he at least needs to try to care more or pretend too.

    • @kwells1111
      @kwells1111 7 ปีที่แล้ว +62

      brittany wallace I don't think seperation justifies his reason for treating her that way tho. He geniuinely has been using that excuse to make sure he only has to care for one kid instead of two and my heart just hurts for her. Like all these years all he had to do was try, but he could'nt even do that..Agreed tho, I hope he actually tries to be a "parent" this time around.

    • @MultiRosy1995
      @MultiRosy1995 7 ปีที่แล้ว +32

      i agree with kwells1111, I lived in Nigeria away from my parents from when I was 13 and just moved back to the U.S. and I'm 21 and my father never treated me the way that this father treated his daughter and I lived in a different continent from my family.

    • @codycat6
      @codycat6 7 ปีที่แล้ว +9

      MultiRosy1995 that's different. you were 13 and had obviously grown up with him and from 13 you're on your trip to adulthood but those years before 13 are or should be the most important to parents in my opinion

      Roblox B2STboys It does not change anything at all, I was separated of my parents from 4 to 8 yeals old and they had to see me 2 times per month, and my sister lived with them. They always threated me just the way they threat her until nowdays. It's only a excuse that people with a little fucked up mind do.

    i feel so bad for the girl in the first concern. She will grow up resenting her dad and little sister, and the little sister will grow up to be a brat who thinks the world revolves around her.

    • @rp.reikihealing
      @rp.reikihealing 7 ปีที่แล้ว +72

      That's true, but if the dynamic doesn't change between the father and the daughter, then the younger one may realize that she can use his love to her advantage and try to get away with more things because of it. Hopefully that wouldn't happen, but like you said, kids are smarter than people realize, so she could grow up to become manipulative because of it.

    I would've exploded at the father in the first concern. I'm so upset >:| There are many fathers who don't show outright affection, but the fact that he treated the younger one like a princess shows that h's quite obviously capable of doing so. Mijin is on the way to developing really bad dad complex, she's gonna end up making really bad decisions when it come to significant others if something doesn't change immediately.

    • @hxpewxrld
      @hxpewxrld 7 ปีที่แล้ว +39

    • @thisiswolfmoon
      @thisiswolfmoon 7 ปีที่แล้ว +49

      Rebelling would only have made her relationship with her dad worse. What she wants isn't justice-- it's her dad's love. I know because I rebelled, and my relationship with my dad couldn't be worse. Difference is, I don't want my dad's love. I think it's amazing how she's able to forgive her dad for everything.

    • @thisiswolfmoon
      @thisiswolfmoon 7 ปีที่แล้ว +65

      I'm just saying that it's more complicated than that. She's not bearing with it because she's a pushover, she's bearing with it because she doesn't want to worsen her relationship with her dad.

      She's definitely not a pushover. She tries over and over again to get a little bit of love from her father. To me she's a strong young girl, and also very mature for her age because rebelling and distancing oneself from their father is what most teenagers do, but she chooses not to despite the shitty treatment she gets from her asshole father.

    omg what kind of father calls his daughter creepy & gross, what a nasty man. And the way he looks down on all her effects to get to know him & do well at school is so ridiculous, I can't even really see him as a person after watching this. If I lived in the same neighbourhood I don't think I'd be able to even say hi even if that's considered rude lol
    I find that 8 year olds these days are a lot smarter than most people realize, it's entirely possible that she acts sweet in front of her father but acts differently towards her sister in private, since she knows the father will always be on her side. If he doesn't change his ways she's going to grow up to be a spoiled brat (if she isn't already).

      Also for the first concern I felt so sad for Mijin, I ended up tearing a bit T.T She seems very sweet and mature for her age/for someone who has been treated like that. No one deserves to feel unequal with their siblings. I feel like more parents need to know their boundaries when it comes to treating the younger child vs older child.. It can really put an emotional strain on them throughout their lives.. ;-;

    It's beginning to be frustrating to watch this show, every other show has alcoholic related concerns, and yet it is not treated like an addiction that needs to be treated psychologically and medically. For a country so advanced in so many ways, they accept alcoholism as a cultural given instead of an addiction that needs to be treated

  • @judykang2
    @judykang2 7 ปีที่แล้ว +22

    The first concern- The daughter didn't ask to be born. It's not her fault she had to be raised under her grandmother because her parents were working. As a father, he's the one who brought her into this world. So he needs to accept responsibility for that and watch over her, and make up for lost time. Even if he had no choice but to leave her with her grandmother, it's still his responsibility as a parent to ensure she grows up well by all means possible. Instead he's emotionally abandoning her because he personally finds it awkward or weird to show affection to her. When the daughter doesn't know anything and just wants a parents love. It's selfish, he's only considering how he feels and not how his kid feels. He needs to make sure she knows she's loved. He doesn't deserve to call himself a parent.

    The first concern, the dad is so immature and unnecessarily cruel to his daughter saying "it's fun" to pick on her just to see her reaction. The amusing thing to note however is how the second child is mimicking her father when he puts his head down and even when he got emotional she's also wiping her eye.
    I love that hal munye tho

    if the dad in the first concern doesn't correct his behaviour soon, he'll damage not only his relationship w/ the older daughter but also his children's. I was actually the favoured sister when it came to my dad because I was the gentle type. This made my little sis resent me and when she got to middle school, she ended up fighting me all the time. We're better now after I spent a lot of time with her when she was hospitalized. But whenever our family has a quarrel, if I ask her to understand our parents, she'll say I just say that because they like me, which makes me both mad and sad.

    The Father in the first concern should be careful because Mijin so hard and could possible suffer from depression, his kids can grow older and Yejin will always boast about being the loved one, or by spoiling Yejin she will have the possibility of becoming the rebellious child that will push him away. Your children should be loved equally no matter how far the gap is, and Mijin is at that age where college is around the corner she needs that support to grow and transition.

      @@Kt-cn2rq Well, the kissing and holding part isn't strange. I'm not sure about other countries but I've noticed in South Korea it seems much more common to kiss your children on the lips and be very physically affectionate with them, especially when they're younger. (And to be fair, in history, mouth kisses were originally only meant for family members because of germs and such, actually. A weird tidbit I remembered from World History class.)

    The first concern really made me want to cry, especially when he has such an amazing daughter. She saves money to give them an anniversary present, she actually wants to pose in pictures with him, she works hard for his effect, and yet he gives nothing in return. Although, he cried and said he would do better, idk if he actually will. For such a long period in the episode, he looked to be unapologetic, it was only toward the end that he actually "cried" and said he would "change." I hope the daughter finds a better father figure in someone else, like her uncle or grandfather. This might not be the exact same bond, but my grandparents live in Bangladesh and I live in the U.S. Despite me hardly ever seeing them or even talking to them due to a language barrier, when I do visit they always treat me kindly and give affection equally to their other grandkids who they see regularly. The father has no excuse for treating his daughter like that, not to mention, I believe, she moved back in when the younger sister was born, meaning she moved back at 8, so that's plenty of time to get used to his daughter. Idk what the father's deal is, but his excuses are horrible!
    As for the second concern . . . I absolutely understand why she wanted to help her sister and her drinking habits, but airing that out on national television can hurt her. I can already see people looking at her on the streets and shaming her for her drinking habits. I hate to admit this, but women in Korea are treated much more harshly by society than men and scrutinized much more for similar actions. Although she wants to help her sister, she's not helping her at all by doing this, rather, her sister needs professional help to stop her drinking. The family should also help by not drinking at all during dinners and taking out all the alcohol from the house. This can be seen as a major sacrifice and people might question why they have to do that to help someone else lack of ability to control their drinking, but if the woman's family truly cared about her and truly want her to get better, they need to make sacrifices like that. I don't understand why her sister agreed to go on national television and air her dirty laundry like that, but the lady who submitted the concern, should not have revealed those stories, bottom line. What I hate the most, is that she clearly knew what she was saying might harm her sister's reputation and how society views her, but she's doing it anyway. Shaming a person into doing something you want isn't the answer, they need to truly want to change in order for change to happen.

    I have serious problem with first concern, as a parent you should praise, encourage and support your child individually The world is a cold and indifferent place if a child can't come to their parents as their strongest support or their role model then there always those who will take their place to wrong your child and most importantly their self image, sense of self gets shattered.

    The first concern made me cry because I reflected on how I treat my parents, they give me things, they keep me alive. . .but I act so rude and disrespectful that it hurts them and I know it does and I can see it too, but it feels like they always have the iron fist ready, they always tell me 'you should smile more' 'stop answering us with grunts' 'you're so ungrateful' . . .but before this even happened I would do stuff like what the girl did, I made breakfast for them once. . .they didn't even eat it and when I finally brought it up to my mom she said 'I don't remember' she looked at me like I made it up, and with my dad, when I was a child, his only focus would be on the TV when he gets home and when I asked him something or tell him something he'd say 'hm' without even looking at me. So in a way I feel where the girl is coming from, she's having a hard time with having her father show her some love and it frustrates a growing child, so they change. . .i just hope the dad will show his daughter more love so that she grows up to be happy and in a good relationship with her parents.

    I honestly don't understand how Mijin has that much perseverance to try again and again to get a single compliment from her father. It's so heartbreaking seeing how much she tries but comes out empty handed, yet she wants to mend their relationship so much she's willing to hear those harsh words again in an attempt to get a step closer to him. I understand she grew up separate from him and her mother, but he should have made up those missing years when they got back together instead of neglecting her further. What made me the most sad is the fact that Mijin didn't shed a tear- it signifies she's already went through all the sadness and had herself heartbroken in every possible way that she no longer feels anything when she's being hurt. The fact the younger sister even comprehends the situation when she's only benefited from it makes it even worst. The younger sister understands, and she's trying to tell her father, but all she gets is her sister in more trouble. That's terribly heartbreaking. If this goes on any further, the sisters might have problems with each other as well. I can see that the father probably didn't realize anything wrong from the start, but by the end of it I can see that he tried fixing his problems and his guilt subconsiously by raising the youngest with all the love in the world. But by doing this it only created grief for the oldest daughter. Her grandparents brought her up so well... It's true when they said she was an angel. I hope that he and everyone understands that time doesn't stop, it simply keeps moving forward. No matter what state someone is in, time doesn't slow for anyone. Time passes and no one can do anything about it, the only thing one can control is how wisely they use that time. I hope the best to this family.

    Ah the father in the first concern is really a handful... he's pushing his own daughter away & she's hurting so bad from it! If he keeps letting the little one (as cute as she is) get away with murder, her teenage years are going to be hell on him & the mom, the older sister will be out of the house so she won't have to deal with it! I bet he'd be furious if he saw his daughter in her 20s telling a man how much she loves him & making him stuff & he takes it then tells her to get lost to which she just says "ok honey I love you"! If he doesn't want another man treating his daughter like a burden why would he? A father is the first contact a girl has with men & he could've really damaged her relationships (romantic or platonic) with men in the future! I hope they can mend their relationship & she can have strong healthy affectionate relationships with her dad, sister & her future partners! She seems like a great kid & I hope her father tells her that more often! The 2nd concern is scary bc she is obviously bordering on, or already dealing with, alcoholism & bc the people around her think they can just tell her to stop! I agree with showing her how she acts so she can really see how this is affecting her & then try not to drink around her! If she has a problem, she's not gonna get better with you doing it right in front of her! This is gonna be a tough journey so my wish is that her older sister & boyfriend (of 52 days LMAO) lends her their shoulders, we all need help sometimes! The third concern doesn't worry me much I think the husband just gotta take the time to limit his stress relief time & it'll all fall into place. Its gonna take some growing up on his part but I believe in him! P.S their kid is adorable lmao P.P.S I can't lie & say my affection for Jinyoung & Baro didn't grow seeing them make thoughtful observations like they did! Gotta love B1A4! They're as kind as they are talented & they're overflowing with both plus a bunch of good looks LMAO

    In the first concern the MCees were saying the father couldn't praise his daughter because it was all deep inside of him, but in reality it was just because he obviously didn't really love her. If he actually loved her he would hate to cause her pain and would actually put in a solid effort, but it's obvious he no longer sees his child as his own, as if it was a child that his wife brought in from another marriage even though that's not the case.

    The first concern is absolutely infuriating! How can a father treat his own daughter like that?! She's so sweet and at her age to be so affectionate towards her father is a rarity. He sits there looking all nonchalant as if it's no big deal and says it's for her best. I don't think he'll feel the same in a few years if he continues his behaviour and she starts rebelling and tries to get the love she didn't get from him in all the wrong places. He won't feel the same when she hates both him and her sister. He should be more affectionate towards her no since he missed out on a lot when she was younger. Parents like him are the ones who create emotionally damaged adults and to think he saw nothing wrong with it before is even more saddening smh. This concern made me realise how grateful I should be to my own father he's nothing like that crazy mofo thank god.
