People who follow their passion and not the money should simply not get married or start a family. Their partners who do not follow the same dream and believe that passion alone cannot pay bills will suffer tremendously...
So are we not going to talk about how the first husband is physically abusive to his wife?????? Like he's into MMA, Karate, Kickboxing, Taekwondo, etc and everybody just brushed off the fact that he likes to practice on his wife.
That's why I don't watch Hello Counselor so often anymore. They just brush important issues under the rug like it's nothing. Very frustrating
That is what I hate about hello councillor, they think that it is only for entertainment so that is why they don't want to make it serious.
That's why I stopped watching it as well, nothing gets solved and the important concerns are ignored. Also if he's that obsessed with sports he mighth have a mental problem.
It bothers me too... but its a broadcast. There is only so much they can say or do on air. Besides its ultimately up to the wife to deal with that situation
right!! It's like they think that because he's not angry, it's not considered physical abuse. It's physical abuse because he's physically harming her and she doesn't like it

I don't understand Korea. If my parents treated me like in the second concern, I would not do any chores, I would not listen to you, and I would not come back after leaving for college. She is obviously smart enough to get scholarships and work on her own after graduating high school. My parents may not have been perfect and I always thought of never coming back either, but at least I could still see their love. This lady though....... she's a terrible parent.... and apparently a liar too....
The reason it happens its cuz Korea puts an immense amount of importance on the unit of family. Your family history, roots, connections are all judged in society when you work, make friends, etc...

first i need to say that the two girls in the 1st and 2nd concern are so strong , i mean they kept straight faces even if it seem they are deeply hurt , god!!! i hope the husband would put his selfish needs away and help his wife , and the that mom she needs to stop enough is enough!!!
and when i saw the guy in the 3d concern i was sure somebody in the comments section would say (WAAW!!! he reminds me of D.O kyungsoo) they have the same aura , he makes me feel the need to give him a bear hug and protect him at all costs. but no one did , i guess i'm the only one who saw the resemblance .
That's what concerns me honestly. Please do correct me if I'm wrong for everyone who's reading this and I apologize beforehand if I have offended anyone or have a misleading info. Koreans especially are too strong till one day when they really explode, they commit suicide as Korea's suicide rate is incredibly high. The past episodes have been bothering me immensely. The wives with those husbands. Or extremely strict parents etc. I'm honestly very worried for them.
when you showed your concern in this matter you triggered alot of thoughts in my head, so i'm sorry in advance if i'll write too much , i guess you're right, the suicide rate in korea is very high , but i guess japan beats them in this aspect , yes the last few episodes were nerves wrecking indeed !!! all these wives suffering with those immature husbands , it's disgusting !! but do you know what infuriates me the most ?? correct me if i'm wrong because i could swear with every concern that treats a case where a husband is an utter asshole to his wife , making her looks like a servant or a slave, we find the MC's who are supposed to be the pillar of this show and the ones who fight the thoughts that emerge from the medievil times , we find them describing the husbands always as( PATRIOTS )or am i wrong ?? i read it wrong all these years?? so forgive me if i got a little bit carried away from your concern about suicide , isn't this just craziness , let's just look at the word in it's self (PATRIOT) a word that comes in the highest ranks when it comes to honor and god gave it such a huge importance , it's a holy word that describes a person who is ready to give up his life, his soul, his dreams for the sake of his country , a person who loves , supports and defends his own country and every thing that is rightous , and when i look at the MC's calling those husbands with this word precisely i feel like a sword pierced through my heart ... why ??? ... oooh!! wait , let me start :
1) a husband who comes home lazy as fuck watch tv , doesn't have income , leave all the work to his wife .
2) a husband who think he's the sky and his wife is the earth as if he's saying to her you're a mere turd but so you would know !!! you're still taking care of me and my children .
3) a husband who rather play video games and ruins his salary on it while his wife give him a 5 hours massage or a husband who isn't willing to skip his sport match while he's wife juicing her soul out to give birth to his child .
4) a husband who's is selfish as fuck , make his gf pregnant , marry her with no job , plays games , let his mother support him 100% financially , leave both his family and in law family too taking care of his own mess since he's too young to support his family , why didn't he think of that when he was making the poor baby ?? and did he show any remorse , hell yeah !!! he asked for the child's diapers money to buy extra diamonds for his stupid video game...ugh!!
5) a husband who put his dreams above his family , for the excuse that life is too short , that's the peak of selfishness it's self .....ect ....ect from my experience watching these kind of concerns on this show for the past 2 years , it made me conclude one question .
in all those examples where in the love of god the MC's saw the patriotic act in their behaviors ?? i mean the word (PATRIOT) suppose to make us proud happy and pleased but the husbands with the way they treat their wives make me wanna puke , they are so medievil !! if we take the word patriot and practice it on a smaller unit which is the family we find that the husband as the caretaker of the family should put all his selfish needs away to take care of them , he has to sacrifice his own dreams , that is how being patriot but no those husbands decided to create a new ugly concept ( put a leg over a leg and ask his wife to do her job and his as well) .... i feel sorry for every person that died for his/ her country or for the tiniest good cause because those husbands and the MC's distort their pure holy reputation and gave it the most hideous description ever , and more over they are trying to convince a whole nation to embrace this new definition for the word(patriot) through the media , women be always wiping the floors , husband be always lazing off ...wooohooo!!
i know you want to know what i think about suicide in korea but i feel i wrote a lot for you just for my own selfish satisfaction , if you want to know my opinion about it i guess it will need an other boring article like this ... to be continued .

but let's not be harsh because honestly korea is not the only country where women suffer and sexim exist everywhere even in the most developped countries , and we have to admitt that korea at least not trying to hide their defaults she show the hideous truth that lies in their society and reflects on other socities as well , this is koreans way of cultivating the society to be a better nation and put those medieevil dark thought aside .at least they are doing something .

Many times all the topics are discussed to a resolution. Many people were upset about the man beating his wife getting little to no mention. It is a big deal. They should have aired that one longer. However, when editing they chose not to air the resolution of it. When filming, when on set, it is an 8+ hours day in filming. We just see a tenth of it.

The wife in first concern has not used cosmetics since marriage. Oh god I have to admit that she's natural korean beauty.
Why do I feel like they started to take the 1st husbands side? Saying he changed his way of thinking blah blah. Regardless of any explanation he gave the facts still stand. He spends almost as much time as he does at work in the gym getting nothing in return. They can't afford pampers for their son, His wife can't afford new clothes or cosmetics but ever month he spends hundreds on gym equipment for himself.
Fair enough you have a dream, But when you have outstanding debts and you are the only person in the family getting benefits out of what your doing (in a way hes willingly sacrificing his wife and son) something needs to give. You were made homeless at one point for GOODNESS SAKES!
His first comment they ignored and it tells me a lot without even hearing his story. "It's not like she's going to leave me" basically I can do what I like to achieve my dream and it doesn't matter if my family suffers because I know they'll stick around.

Honestly at first I thought that Seryeon was just an attention seeker teenager, I mean going on national tv to complain about your parents is pretty sad. But after watching her mom, it really does look like she loves her son more. She keeps on protecting him and blames Seryeon for complaining. My grandma from my dads side also loves my brother more than me. But then again she isn't educated.. She is the same towards all my male siblings. My aunt lives with her and her son is my grandma's favorite. Ever since he was young she would always care for him the most and let him do whatever he wants. When he didn't wanted to go to school she let him stay home because she felt bad for him. He's now 22 years old and an highschool drop out. While my female cousing is now studying abroad with a scholar ship. Yet she didn't get as much love. Kinda sad >.>

The mother in the second concern... I can't help but think, that if this act and lack of love from her parents - she might have depression, and maybe even get suicidal thoughts even though she is smiling but I can see in her eyes that she is suffering...
A few questions that I would ask to the mom:
"What if your daughter, she became depressed? Would you care?"
"If your got sick mentally, and maybe was a risk to actually... kill herself, commit suicide?"
I think the mom wouldn't give a fuck about her, but if it was because of suicide, she'd realize how wrong she has been, and actually start caring when it's too late to be there for her own fucking daughter...

The host mainly focused on making fun of the concerned guy in 3rd concern. Very less attention to how he was bullied because of his friend. All the host and guests focused on how the guy should have raised eyebrows to prevent getting bullied. This kind of attitude promote plastic surgeries. Instead of pointing what's right and wrong, they kept making fun and putting blame on victim

I actually don't believe these concerns anymore because personally, if I had a concern like the first one, I wouldn't share and broadcast it on national TV. Smaller concerns like the 2nd one and the more funnier ones I understand, but the rest I think their in it for the money.

true but lot of the serious marriage concerns probably stem from the fact that divorce and single moms are really looked down upon so it's likely that wives would come in hopes of trying to fix things first. Or when it's kids against the parents it's a good place to come and discuss problems without being shut down because of the whole hierarchy. Plus it's always obvious when people go for the money
