From my train journey through India I remember that you need to take the upper beds. Locals often want to swap because the don't like them, but they're much better. You can chain your luggage to the bunk and it's very cosy. Ground floor is not so good because people are passing by. 😀
We went from Faisalabad to Karachi on a Daewoo Sleeper Bus…it was such a great experience…so much more comfortable than your train experience for sure and it took us around 15 hours only…whereas a train would have taken us around 22-24 hours…and not to forget the delays…price was also reasonable around 8k with snacks and breakfast included for this amazing experience…bus is always on time! We also took the bus back. Online bookings are only available 5 days prior and the sleeper bus timing starts from 9PM…you can also buy tickets at the counter…subject to availability…to book tickets online you do need some kind of Pakistani ID I believe…not sure though…I didn’t book the tickets myself 😅 I would recommend taking a blanket with you and a lightweight bed sheet or anything like that to use it on the mattress for hygiene reasons….otherwise the experience was outclass and you got your privacy 😊
21:54 The words, "I will tell what, about 10 security guards jump off the train, I dont know what could go wrong on this train" The expression on the face is priceless!
Hi, American born Pakistani here. The security guard said it’s safe on the train, but the area around it is not that good. (Lots of people with guns and of course the afghani T-group) They’re clearly security and not military, as he called a Pakistani manufactured Type-56 (Basically an AK) underfolder a “submachine gun”. The military uses plate carriers and helmets, G3s and AKs just like the ones he used, and the POF (Pakistan ordinance factory, a high quality weapon factory that other countries buy military equipment for) submachine guns, or the MP5 and MP5K
When I rode on Pakistani Railways in the 80's and 90's I was absolutely amazed that people literally rode "on the train"; not "in the train" but "on the train". It just baffled me that more people didn't die on the railways considering the trains were adorned with hundreds of people on the train sides and roof. Scary!!

Simon you're better than Netflix 😂
I'm happily surprised and impressed by how well the Pakistani people depicted speak English. They seem kind. It is nice to see a different side of these folks than the West perceives.
I didn't think anyone could improve on Bald's video about this journey but yours is just as good Simon. You both have a unique slant on the same story!
Don't think Mister Bald should be followed by anyone. He is sleazy and a creep.
Honestly after watching any of Simon videos I literally cannot get "thankyou so much" out my head! 😂😂
I really love that the fact that you and bald troll the people that he's gonna spend some time in different stations, but he just hops in on the time before the train departures. A really interesting videos mate
"The conductors got a double barrel shot gun, that's not normal is it?!!" Had me in tears. Love this video mate, made my day ☺
This feels like snowpearcer just getting progressively worse the further down the train you go 😅
Interesting video .
That toilet hole goes straight to the rail track got me 😂
I wish the best to the hard working & nice people of Pakistan. With as much financial trouble Pakistan has, it is a miracle that anything works, thanks to millions of Pakistanis who simply keep everything going. پاکستان زنده باد Pakistan Zenndeh Baad
Thank you ❤🇵🇰❤
The condition of trains and station of pakistan is similar to that of India in 1980s.😂😂😅That is pakistani railway is 50 years behind Indian Railways. This is what happen when u make nation on the basis of religion not on the basis of harmony and equality.
@@vishalkumar-nw6cp predictable Indian taking a cheap shot at Pakistan. So predictable!

Thank you for helping that old man up and out of the train tracks wow
The lady says at the beginning there NO FIRST CLASS on this train. You weren’t on any first class carriage. She explains standard class with AC is the highest level on this train and Ben even repeats what she says . So the title is misleading and explains why standard class looks the same .

Simon definitely whined the whole trip
This was such an interesting vid! Locals seem very friendly and approachable
Thanks for the comeback and Pakistan pretty crazy! Must say You, Bald, and Harald should really do another trip together. That Mexico trip was the best
Same seats in first class 😂😂
As in economy 😂😂😂
Simon is pranked about first class "LUXURY"
3:40 these brothers are incredibly helpful, giving sound advice like that!
From my train journey through India I remember that you need to take the upper beds. Locals often want to swap because the don't like them, but they're much better. You can chain your luggage to the bunk and it's very cosy. Ground floor is not so good because people are passing by. 😀
Im british pakistani. All the things you experienced in this video had me in tears !!! You did good Simon lad !
ive recently discovered your channel. so far ive discovered you travel about and basically becomes best mates with EVERYONE!!. i love it.
Simon you are a brave man . Makes you realize how Great we have it . These folks think that is normal
Simon! Out of all travel vloggers you are probably the one who would be most fitting for a Travel Channel show. Why not give it a go?
This train looks brutal, well done lad for survivng it.
take a shot everytime simon mentions the lapland express 🤣
I'm pissed 😂😂😂
Or says “This is mental!” 🤣🤣🤣
We went from Faisalabad to Karachi on a Daewoo Sleeper Bus…it was such a great experience…so much more comfortable than your train experience for sure and it took us around 15 hours only…whereas a train would have taken us around 22-24 hours…and not to forget the delays…price was also reasonable around 8k with snacks and breakfast included for this amazing experience…bus is always on time! We also took the bus back.
Online bookings are only available 5 days prior and the sleeper bus timing starts from 9PM…you can also buy tickets at the counter…subject to availability…to book tickets online you do need some kind of Pakistani ID I believe…not sure though…I didn’t book the tickets myself 😅
I would recommend taking a blanket with you and a lightweight bed sheet or anything like that to use it on the mattress for hygiene reasons….otherwise the experience was outclass and you got your privacy 😊
That awkward moment when you have a random guy sitting on the end of your bed 😂
Come to India and try trains here ❤

Scary!!
You are mistaken. It is very RARE that people in Pakistan travel ON trains. FYI, none of the trains shown in this vlog had any people on the rooftop.
@@sidsid9808 Both India and Pakistan had that same behavior of people riding on the roofs of trains and I even saw one sad case where a rider was hit by an overpass and did not survive.
@@mostlyinterested1016
It is very Rare in Pakistan but in India
Its very common because of Over Population..
@@AssGuardian07 True, it seemed to be a national sport there. Not enough room on the train? Hold my beer!!!
@@mostlyinterested1016Well i recently visited India and i saw the riding on the train thing is almost extinct which is a good thing and they are not packed as they were back in 90s good for them i guess
By road travel in Pakistan is far better then train. Train travel in Pakistan is hell specially when you are traveling towards Quetta.
27:58 difference is that the richer people dont have to sit with the poorer people and thats basically just why first class is first class.
9:03 This is insane: the train doesn't even have a door 😂😂😂😂😂
That is the air conditioning.
Toilet goes out directly to the train tracks 😢 thats epic isn't it? Fertilizer 😂
Simon and bald are always my favorite adventures
Bro you are going through Balochistan, the heavily contested area between Pakistani Army and Baloch people, Baloch people want Independence from Pakistan and there is routinely clash between Pakistani army and Baloch folks. I wondered why you didn't research that in advance. If you were aware then you know why they are carrying such a firepower. You should be thankful for those 2 Pakistani folks who made your journey quite enjoyable!
