Facts. I'd demand a 50% discount. Actually, in the US, there's a legal doctrine that allows you to claim triple damages in court if you can prove that you were sold something that the seller knew was defective. It is called 'unfair and deceptive trade practices'. If you were sold the cabin at full price, and the cruise line knew that it wasn't as advertised prior to boarding, then you are entitled to compensation worth 3 times what you paid for it. You might even be able to convince the court to add in your travel expense to get to the cruise terminal, and legal expenses.
You all remained gracious and cheery throughout which is commendable given the poor amenities. That really challenged me to check my attitude. Thank you.

I loved this Will. You were very courteous and fair, but the comedy shone through. Much as I love seeing 5 star luxury, you can't beat the worst for entertainment value. 😂
I actually really love that this video is presented on what is basically a luxury TH-cam travel channel, and it's presented in such an unpretentious, relatable way. I myself could never afford the vast majority of the trips featured on this channel, but I could afford this particular trip if I saved a little money, and I could even afford this "first class cabin" on "America's worst cruise." However, even though Will might be used to far more luxurious travel compared to this cruise, I appreciate that the main complaints from this video are basically the same complaints I would have as a middle class American if I booked the same cabin. I might not be wealthy, but that doesn't mean I deserve a moldy balcony and a jacuzzi bathtub I paid for that doesn't work, which seems to be Will's experience from this cruise. He does a great job with his channel of appealing to the average person who might book a cruise just like this to have fun and to not spend too much money in the process, but I imagine it's hard to pull this off as a content creator. You want to bring in viewers to your videos who might aspire to one day afford the travel that you can afford, but you also don't want to alienate the average person and make it seem like you yourself are a pretentious asshole. It's a very hard line to toe, and when channels like this can do it successfully, what we see is exponential growth in the number of subscribers to the channel.
I love it when youtubers treat their parents to things ❤️ I'd love to take my mom on a riverboat cruise one day. She's scared of ocean cruises, and those tend to be a bit too loud for me anyway.

I went on that for a 2 night cruise on my birthday and had a wonderful time. I got an inside cabin (solo) and bought the VIP package. I had a wonderful time. Sure, the ship is smaller and older, but the employees are AWESOME. I stayed on the ship, went to the steakhouse for a perfectly cooked NY strip. The lunch buffet was very good, with a variety of food, from burgers and hot dogs for the kids to Indian dishes, roasts, salad, etc.... The MDR was very good the one night I ate there. Sure, there are no water slides or rock climbs and it might not be 100% kid friendly, but if you want to chill out for a few days, eat and drink good food, and enjoy some shows, it's great.
People just want to see the largest and newest ships. Many cruise lines has a class or two of ships that are old and because of the salt water it get gross and weird looking. I live by Galveston it has some of the largest and newest ships from both Carnival and Royal Caribbean but just a few years ago they hosted some of their older ships and people viewed it as trashy. But now people seem to have completely forgot about that and boast about their huge clean ships.
@@Paul-ui4yt I've been on many cruises on all sizes of ships, I prefer the smaller ships. It's easier to get around, instead of walking the Empire State building on its side, the crew to passenger ratio is usually better and since they don't have water slides and go-carts, the music and shows are usually better. Marg at Sea is a perfectly nice, 2 night getaway.
Thanks Will, me and my partner sit down to watch your uploads every other Sunday. Bit of a tradition in our house now to round weekend off before working week.
Looking forward to more of these. The US airline experience was great to watch. Most people dream watching your videos but staying within each individual's budget allows the viewer to pay slightly less for better accommodations.
To a first time cruiser they wouldn’t notice these outliers you pointed out but to a veteran cruiser who has been in haven suites Norwegian 26:00 royal Caribbean etc the entire experience is absolutely filthy wow 🤯 thank god it was 2 days 😢
I went on a Carnival Cruise about 25 years ago when I was a teenager... it was about the same, if not worse. Celebrity and Princess were good, the food was ehh. Definitely Carnival Cruise vibes.
I recently took a cruise on the Margaritaville Islander out of the port of Tampa. I have to say it overall was a nice cruise for the price (BOGO) except many of the meats were either too spicy or overcooked. The balcony room was great and everything worked! The employees were very friendly and professional. I believe the Islander was a nicer ship than the Paradise but I still prefer the larger ships.
Oh my gosh I've been hoping you would try Margaritaville at sea! 🤣 I never thought you would because of all the luxury travel you do, but this is an awesome surprise! Thank you for all you do for our entertainment! 😂
Its honestly crazy how much you had to pay for that cruise experience. I appreciate you sharing it with us to show that this cruise line is definitely not worth the money! Keep up the grind!🤙
We've just got back from a 10 day P&O cruise. Although the ship (Ventura) was considered old and towards the cheaper end of the cruise scale, we had an amazing time. The ship was 5 star luxury at every step. The food was Michelin star quality and the ship was cleaned constantly with minor repairs being carried out everytime the ship docked. We paid just over £2000 each. That included EVERYTHING!! I'd rather burn my money on a BBQ than step foot on that monstrosity that you've just been on.
I was thinking the exact same thing. If there's that much mold everywhere the eye can see, just imagine the state of the kitchens and food refrigerators... employee quarters, bathrooms, mechanical rooms....
What a nice surprise to find out the food was so good! Very well done with your narration and descriptions with so many of my favorite touches (plastic forks, beer served in can, plastic cups, numerous rough edges and so much more!) speak for themselves. Way to go; looks like all had a good time and went with the flow.
The library and the art supplies. 😂 It would be interesting to see you review more budget friendly holiday options for those who want a getaway but don’t have $$$$$ at their fingertips. Although, love the luxury travel.
Oh dear, that was a dismal cruise! It was lovely to see Ian and Julie, though. Millie didn't miss much on this occasion. Beautifully made as usual, Will. 🇦🇺
it is actually incredible how much they charge for such a subpar experience. thank you for making this video for us to see what the reality is really like with these cruise lines. i was thinking about planning a trip but I will be staying away from this one.
Hi watching from the beautiful island of saint Lucia in the Caribbean 🇱🇨.My sister is from the united kingdom 🇬🇧 and i just want to tell you to keep all the good work up love your video's it just makes me feel alot better😊😊
Anything can be made seaworthy again. Just takes effort and money. The layout of this ship would not make it worth it with only a few balconies and so little space, but a 2000+ ship would be worth a full retrofit. I remember in 2012 and 2020 cruise ships like this were literally selling for.... one MILLION dollars!! Muaaaahahahahaha!
Thanks for taking the cruise to remind us of cruises that well you have to ask yourself do I really want to take this cruise 🤔. Great to you see back again for another great video!
Yikes. My avid cruising Parents just got back from a Royal Cab cruise from Baltimore to Bermuda and say they’ll never cruise again. Complete with an air show from the USCG helicopter rescue.
Wow...the upkeep on that ship is horrendous. And the dirty dishes all over is just not acceptable. Having said that, the food sounds good and it gave you a few days to spend with Mum and Dad. I really admire the way you make them comfy in the room, giving them the bed while you sleep on the couch/bed. This is not the first time and I commend you on the respect you show your parents. BTW...another great vid, regardless of the ship itself.
This might have been said as I did not read all 1884 comments at the time of writing. Having done the tour at Moët and Chandon, the reason you pronounce the T in Moët is because the name is not French, but Dutch. Chandon is of course French. They clearly ran into each other on weekend escape in Bruges and decided to make champagne together.
most definitely ferry vibes with this one, especially with the smaller ship. I mean the main staircase inside looked copied straight out of the staten island ferry
I would highly recommend the Islander out of Tampa. This ship is beautiful, We sailed it in July and the vibe was great. The ship was clean and everything worked. For a 24-year-old ship, it looked fresh and inviting. Everyone I talked with who had sailed the Paradise said it was night and day better overall.

I've never been on a cruise and I was having the same reaction as you
Most people whether they have cruised or not would think this is shocking! I was anxious the whole time watching it….
Not a cruise fan + would 💯 notice, not sure what your insinuating ? Seems you’re a bit full of yourself, ‘veteran’ 🙄🫠
I would not recommend this to 1st time cruisers. They might get scared away from cruising for life.
I went on a Carnival Cruise about 25 years ago when I was a teenager... it was about the same, if not worse. Celebrity and Princess were good, the food was ehh. Definitely Carnival Cruise vibes.
Love the sarcasm in this one
Me too😂
Love it!!
I just started laughing when I saw you took your parents on this cruise. Looks like you guys still had a great time together which is lovely :)
The little things with the camera--, that moment frozen on the worn menu corner was genius. Literally genius.
I'm a simple man, I see trek trendy has posted another video I pop open a nice dc and have a watch
Love how it’s always a Sunday as well lol
Gotta be a CZ, tastes better :)
As soon as I heard that screeching, I knew this video would live up to its title 👍
Finally a Trek Trendy experience I can afford!😂
😅😅😂😂😅😅😂😂
I am so grossed out by this video. I keep thinking about how run down the public spaces are and wondering how horrific behind the scenes must be!
I was thinking the exact same thing. If there's that much mold everywhere the eye can see, just imagine the state of the kitchens and food refrigerators... employee quarters, bathrooms, mechanical rooms....
@@randyrohe Ice machines!
I always enjoy these family outings. Thanks for sharing, Will!
Refreshing to see you report on something that is bad
Yes, so bad that it was the absolute pits!
Oh dear, that was a dismal cruise! It was lovely to see Ian and Julie, though. Millie didn't miss much on this occasion. Beautifully made as usual, Will. 🇦🇺
Millie would have dumped him for this one
This was a great review. Thanks for suffering it 😂
Seriously it’s good to see the different angle.
it is actually incredible how much they charge for such a subpar experience. thank you for making this video for us to see what the reality is really like with these cruise lines. i was thinking about planning a trip but I will be staying away from this one.
Hi watching from the beautiful island of saint Lucia in the Caribbean 🇱🇨.My sister is from the united kingdom 🇬🇧 and i just want to tell you to keep all the good work up love your video's it just makes me feel alot better😊😊
This ship has clearly been at sea for far too long, thanks guys 👍
make it into a prison, lol
@@krisstopher8259 It needs a renovation if anything
Ghost 🚢⚓😅😅 horror show
Anything can be made seaworthy again.
I'm guessing it is usually a "booze cruise." People go to get facedown drunk for a few days.
You can also do that for a lot cheaper at the Margaritaville bar in Key West, if you want the Jimmy Buffett ambiance.
This video has made me happy I always chose to spend more to sail with Royal Caribbean! Great video! Cheers
Man bring back the relatable budget euro rail trips - highest quality (and most sustainable) content you made ✌🏻
I haven't laughed so hard in a long time. Thanks for the honesty.
Same
Yikes. My avid cruising Parents just got back from a Royal Cab cruise from Baltimore to Bermuda and say they’ll never cruise again. Complete with an air show from the USCG helicopter rescue.
You need to be hammered the entire time to enjoy that cruise experience
hammered, and senile.
True, I’d be constantly worried about its seaworthiness if sober.
@@Njabuloseh i bet they heard weird metallic sounds when they tried to sleep, lol
🍺
I was looking at going on a cruise (hence why I'm here) as its something i never done before.
This put me right off. Thanks for the vid.
You are a good son!
You did a really great job, thanks a lot for sharing! 👍😄👏
The food may have tasted great, but the overall lack of maintenance and good sanitation on the ship makes me wonder what the kitchen looks like.
Probably one of your most entertaining videos 😂👍
Was Basil Fawlty piloting the ship??? 😅 Fawlty Towers at sea 🌊
To be honest I love you and your cute family so much, your mum and dad are simply the best
Seems more like a ferry to the Bahamas than an actual cruise.
Baltic Sea ferries are like Queen's Grill class on the QM 2 compared to that mold ridden rust bucket.
Pretty sure I did the exact same cruise about 19yrs ago with my parents however we actually got off the ship and had a walk around the island
most definitely ferry vibes with this one, especially with the smaller ship. I mean the main staircase inside looked copied straight out of the staten island ferry
OMG he did the ferry cruise! The dream has come true!!!!😂😂❤❤
This is a crime against Jimmy Buffet and one of the most laid back songs ever
Excellent content. Making memories with your parents will be with you forever.
I enjoy your ma and dad in these videos they seem like nice folks.
Belly laughs in this one…Air Hockey without, you guessed it ‘air’ 🤣🤣🤣
so it's just hockey. lmao
Yikes! This looks like a roadside motel you'd find in a sketchy part of town in the U.S.
I would nominate this ship as a candidate for a man made reef. At least they wouldn't have to fret over having spent too much on maintenance.
